Fix the tescases: - if EXPLAIN shows that the query isn't using index_merge. what is the purpose of running SELECT to check the query output? We do know we are not running index_merge. We use ref access and we never had reasons to doubt ref access. - As pointed out earlier, different ORDER BY .. LIMIT clauses do not add any value. - Instead, let's check optimizer to see that affected range scans do not have the ROR property. Fix the code: - Suprisingly, is_key_scan_ror() is called with keynr==clustered_pk. just return true in that case. - Rephrase comment - re-order parts of the condition to be more readable. |
