1f8b3d0f22 Code cleanups (done during review of new code) 
Rename innodb_table_locks_old_behavior -> innodb_table_locks
Set innodb_table_locks to off by default to get same behaviour as in MySQL 4.0.20
(This means that Innodb ignore table locks by default, which makes it easier to combine MyISAM and InnoDB to simulate a transaction)

7e92336b1d Fixed a possible memory leak on MacOSX when using the shared libmysql.so library (Bug #2061) 
mysql_server_init() now returns error code if something went wrong (Bug #2062)
Don't use my_fopen() when reading symlink information as this may cause problems when a lot of files are opened.
Free thread keys with pthread_key_delete() instead of relying on automatic free. (Bug #2062)
Fixed bug in UNION statement with alias '*'. (Bug #1249)
Fixed a bug in DELETE ... ORDER BY ... LIMIT where the rows where not deleted in the proper order. (Bug #1024).
FOUND_ROWS() could return incorrect number of rows after a query with an impossible WHERE condition.
HOW DATABASES doesn't anymore show .sym files (on windows) that doesn't point to a valid directory. (Bug #1385)

d2e065022f "optimization cleanup" reverted - problems on rpl_redirect test. 
It happens that mysql->client_next->client_next=mysql
and mysql_close() goes into infinite loop.
Results vary from simple sigsegv (FreeBSD), to hard system lockup (Linux)

c1f7f33960 4 small items in this: 
- when we don't have in_addr_t, use uint32.
- a forgotten initialization of slave_proxy_id in sql/log_event.cc (was not really "forgot", was
"we needn't init it there", but there was one case where we needed...).
- made slave_proxy_id always meaningful in THD and Log_event, so we can
rely more on it (no need to test if it's meaningful). THD::slave_proxy_id
is equal to THD::thread_id except for the slave SQL thread.
- clean up the slave's temporary table (i.e. free their memory) when slave
server shuts down.

8a77f97079 Add detection of in_addr_t 
Add pack_bits to pack_reclength for dynamic rows.  This solves buffer a possible buffer overflow on update.
(This will probably solve bug #563)

04071da35a - renamed "rnd" to "my_rnd" as the name was too generic (and is an exported 
symbol in libmysqlclient) (thanks to Dennis Haney for the initial patch)
 - cleanup: removed client/password.c (not used at all) and
   libmysql/password.c (should rather be a symlink to sql/password.c instead)
 - applied HPUX11 portability fix for char_val declaration to sql/password.c
   (taken from libmysql/password.c)
