dc6a017111 MDEV-27882 Innodb - recognise MySQL-8.0 innodb flags and give a specific error message
Per fsp0types.h, SDI is on tablespace flags position 14 where MariaDB
stores its pagesize. Flag at position 13, also in MariaDB pagesize
flags, is a MySQL encryption flag.

These are checked only if fsp_flags_is_valid fails, so valid MariaDB
pages sizes don't become errors.

The error message "Cannot reset LSNs in table" was rather specific and
not always true to replaced with more generic error.

ALTER TABLE tbl IMPORT TABLESPACE now reports Unsupported on MySQL
tablespace (rather than index corrupted) along with a server error
message.

MySQL innodb Errors are with with UNSUPPORTED rather than CORRUPTED
to avoid user anxiety.

410c4edef3 MDEV-27467: innodb to enforce the minimum innodb_buffer_pool_size in SET GLOBAL
.. to be the same as startup.

In resolving MDEV-27461, BUF_LRU_MIN_LEN (256) is the minimum number of
pages for the innodb buffer pool size. Obviously we need more than just
flushing pages. Taking the 16k page size and its default minimum, an
extra 25% is needed on top of the flushing pages to make a workable buffer
pool.

The minimum innodb_buffer_pool_chunk_size (1M) restricts the minimum
otherwise we'd have a pool made up of different chunk sizes.

The resulting minimum innodb buffer pool sizes are:

Page Size, Previously minimum (startup), with change.
        4k                            5M           2M
        8k                            5M           3M
       16k                            5M           5M
       32k                           24M          10M
       64k                           24M          20M

With this patch, SET GLOBAL innodb_buffer_pool_size minimums are
enforced.

The evident minimum system variable size for innodb_buffer_pool_size
is 2M, however this is only setable if using 4k page size. As
the order of the page_size and buffer_pool_size aren't fixed, we can't
hide this change.

Subsequent changes:
* innodb_buffer_pool_resize_with_chunks.test - raised of pool resize due to new
  minimums. Chunk size also needed increase as the test was for
  pool_size < chunk_size to generate a warning.
* Removed srv_buf_pool_min_size and replaced use with MYSQL_SYSVAR_NAME(buffer_pool_size).min_val
* Removed srv_buf_pool_def_size and replaced constant defination in
  MYSQL_SYSVAR_LONGLONG(buffer_pool_size)
* Reordered ha_innodb to allow for direct use of MYSQL_SYSVAR_NAME(buffer_pool_size).min_val
* Moved buf_pool_size_align into ha_innodb to access to MYSQL_SYSVAR_NAME(buffer_pool_size).min_val
* loose-innodb_disable_resize_buffer_pool_debug is needed in the
  innodb.restart.opt test so that under debug mode, resizing of the
  innodb buffer pool can occur.

49e2c8f0a6 MDEV-25743: Unnecessary copying of table names in InnoDB dictionary
Many InnoDB data dictionary cache operations require that the
table name be copied so that it will be NUL terminated.
(For example, SYS_TABLES.NAME is not guaranteed to be NUL-terminated.)

dict_table_t::is_garbage_name(): Check if a name belongs to
the background drop table queue.

dict_check_if_system_table_exists(): Remove.

dict_sys_t::load_sys_tables(): Load the non-hard-coded system tables
SYS_FOREIGN, SYS_FOREIGN_COLS, SYS_VIRTUAL on startup.

dict_sys_t::create_or_check_sys_tables(): Replaces
dict_create_or_check_foreign_constraint_tables() and
dict_create_or_check_sys_virtual().

dict_sys_t::load_table(): Replaces dict_table_get_low()
and dict_load_table().

dict_sys_t::find_table(): Renamed from get_table().

dict_sys_t::sys_tables_exist(): Check whether all the non-hard-coded
tables SYS_FOREIGN, SYS_FOREIGN_COLS, SYS_VIRTUAL exist.

trx_t::has_stats_table_lock(): Moved to dict0stats.cc.

Some error messages will now report table names in the internal
databasename/tablename format, instead of `databasename`.`tablename`.

d3afdb1e8f Datafile::validate_first_page(): Change some ERROR to Note
On startup, if the InnoDB doublewrite buffer can be used to
recover a corrupted page, raising an ERROR about a recoverable
error seems inappropriate. Issue Note instead, and adjust
tests accordingly.

Also, correctly validate the tablespace ID in the files.

c0f47a4a58 MDEV-12026: Implement innodb_checksum_algorithm=full_crc32
MariaDB data-at-rest encryption (innodb_encrypt_tables)
had repurposed the same unused data field that was repurposed
in MySQL 5.7 (and MariaDB 10.2) for the Split Sequence Number (SSN)
field of SPATIAL INDEX. Because of this, MariaDB was unable to
support encryption on SPATIAL INDEX pages.

Furthermore, InnoDB page checksums skipped some bytes, and there
are multiple variations and checksum algorithms. By default,
InnoDB accepts all variations of all algorithms that ever existed.
This unnecessarily weakens the page checksums.

We hereby introduce two more innodb_checksum_algorithm variants
(full_crc32, strict_full_crc32) that are special in a way:
When either setting is active, newly created data files will
carry a flag (fil_space_t::full_crc32()) that indicates that
all pages of the file will use a full CRC-32C checksum over the
entire page contents (excluding the bytes where the checksum
is stored, at the very end of the page). Such files will always
use that checksum, no matter what the parameter
innodb_checksum_algorithm is assigned to.

For old files, the old checksum algorithms will continue to be
used. The value strict_full_crc32 will be equivalent to strict_crc32
and the value full_crc32 will be equivalent to crc32.

ROW_FORMAT=COMPRESSED tables will only use the old format.
These tables do not support new features, such as larger
innodb_page_size or instant ADD/DROP COLUMN. They may be
deprecated in the future. We do not want an unnecessary
file format change for them.

The new full_crc32() format also cleans up the MariaDB tablespace
flags. We will reserve flags to store the page_compressed
compression algorithm, and to store the compressed payload length,
so that checksum can be computed over the compressed (and
possibly encrypted) stream and can be validated without
decrypting or decompressing the page.

In the full_crc32 format, there no longer are separate before-encryption
and after-encryption checksums for pages. The single checksum is
computed on the page contents that is written to the file.

We do not make the new algorithm the default for two reasons.
First, MariaDB 10.4.2 was a beta release, and the default values
of parameters should not change after beta. Second, we did not
yet implement the full_crc32 format for page_compressed pages.
This will be fixed in MDEV-18644.

This is joint work with Marko Mäkelä.

970ce270c9 Merge 10.1 into 10.2
Disable the test encryption.innodb_encryption-page-compression
because the wait_condition would seem to time out deterministically.
MDEV-14814 has to be addressed in 10.2 separately.

Datafile::validate_first_page(): Do not invoke
page_size_t::page_size_t(flags) before validating the tablespace flags.
This avoids a crash in MDEV-15333 innodb.restart test case.
FIXME: Reduce the number of error messages. The first one is enough.

9a46d97149 MDEV-15333 MariaDB (still) slow start
This performance regression was introduced in the MariaDB 10.1
file format incompatibility bug fix MDEV-11623 (MariaDB 10.1.21
and MariaDB 10.2.4) and partially fixed in MariaDB 10.1.25 in
MDEV-12610 without adding a regression test case.

On a normal startup (without crash recovery), InnoDB should not read
every .ibd data file, because this is slow. Like in MySQL, for now,
InnoDB will still open every data file (without reading), and it
will read every .ibd file for which an .isl file exists, or the
DATA DIRECTORY attribute has been specified for the table.

The test case shuts down InnoDB, moves data files, replaces them
with garbage, and then restarts InnoDB, expecting no messages to
be issued for the garbage files. (Some messages will for now be
issued for the table that uses the DATA DIRECTORY attribute.)
Finally, the test shuts down the server, restores the old data files,
and restarts again to drop the tables.

fil_open_single_table_tablespace(): Remove the condition on flags,
and only call fsp_flags_try_adjust() if validate==true
(reading the first page has been requested). The only caller with
validate==false is at server startup when we are processing all
records from SYS_TABLES. The flags passed to this function are
actually derived from SYS_TABLES.TYPE and SYS_TABLES.N_COLS,
and there never was any problem with SYS_TABLES in MariaDB 10.1.
The problem that MDEV-11623 was that incorrect tablespace flags
were computed and written to FSP_SPACE_FLAGS.
