Produce warnings of wrong cast of strings to signed/unsigned.
Don't block not resolved IP's if DNS server is down (Bug #8467)
Fix compiler problems with MinGW (Bug #8872)
to read and write
Changed Server code, added new interface to handler and changed the
NDB handler, InnoDB handler and Federated handler that previously used
query_id
Bug#10202 fix (one-liner fix for memory leak)
CAST() now produces warnings when casting a wrong INTEGER or CHAR values. This also applies to implicite string to number casts. (Bug #5912)
ALTER TABLE now fails in STRICT mode if it generates warnings.
Inserting a zero date in a DATE, DATETIME or TIMESTAMP column during TRADITIONAL mode now produces an error. (Bug #5933)
Windows to call CreateFileMapping() with correct arguments, and
propogating the introduction of query_id_t to everywhere query ids are
passed around. (Bug #8826)
implementation of AVG(DISTINCT) which utilizes the approach with Fields.
The patch implemented in October is portede to the up-to-date tree
containing DECIMAL type.
Tests for AVG(DISTINCT) (although there is not much to test provided
that SUM(DISTINCT) works), cleanups for COUNT(DISTINCT) and GROUP_CONCAT()
will follow in another changeset.
macros.
It does not fixes any bugs in 4.0. But it prevents from future error in
any bugfixes that may use these macros. Also after merging into 4.1 tree
this cleanup will fix bug #7884 "Able to add invalid unique index on
TIMESTAMP prefix".
- add_field_to_list() now uses <List>String
instead of TYPELIB to be able to distinguish
literals 'aaa' and hex literals 0xaabbcc.
- move some code from add_field_to_list() where
we don't know column charset yet, to
mysql_prepare_table(), where we do.
column types TIMESTAMP is NOT NULL by default, so in order to have
TIMESTAMP column holding NULL valaues you have to specify NULL as
one of its attributes (this needed for backward compatibility).
Main changes:
Replaced TABLE::timestamp_default_now/on_update_now members with
TABLE::timestamp_auto_set_type flag which is used everywhere
for determining if we should auto-set value of TIMESTAMP field
during this operation or not. We are also use Field_timestamp::set_time()
instead of handler::update_timestamp() in handlers.
using GROUP BY"
Now we are setting Field_timestamp::field_length to 19 in open_table()
if we are in new mode (and we are restoring it back when we are coming
back to normal mode). This also should solve potential problems with
some of LOAD DATA INFILE and SELECT * INTO in this mode.
Use 'mysqltest' as test database instead of test_$1 or test1,test2 to not accidently delete an important database
Safety fix for mailformed MERGE files
Fix for binary collations for MyISAM and HEAP BTREE.
This patch also changes trailing spaces behaviour for
binary collations. Binary collations now have PAD
characteristic too.
Added put_length() to get_length() and unpack_key() to pack_key().
Keys were packed with the minimum size of the length field for the key part and
unpacked with length size of the base column.
For the purpose of optimal key packing we have the method pack_key(), while rows are
packed with pack(). Now keys are unpacked with unpack_key() and no longer with
unpack() which is used for rows.
Added basic per-thread time zone functionality (based on public
domain elsie-code). Now user can select current time zone
(from the list of time zones described in system tables).
All NOW-like functions honor this time zone, values of TIMESTAMP
type are interpreted as values in this time zone, so now
our TIMESTAMP type behaves similar to Oracle's TIMESTAMP WITH
LOCAL TIME ZONE (or proper PostgresSQL type).
WL#1266 "CONVERT_TZ() - basic time with time zone conversion
function".
Fixed problems described in Bug #2336 (Different number of warnings
when inserting bad datetime as string or as number). This required
reworking of datetime realted warning hadling (they now generated
at Field object level not in conversion functions).
Optimization: Now Field class descendants use table->in_use member
instead of current_thd macro.
Fixed bugs in group_concat with ORDER BY and DISTINCT (Bugs #2695, #3381 and #3319)
Fixed crash when doing rollback in slave and the io thread catched up with the sql thread
Set locked_in_memory properly
Final version of patch.
Adds support for specifying of DEFAULT NOW() and/or ON UPDATE NOW()
clauses for TIMESTAMP field definition.
Current implementation allows only one such field per table and
uses several unireg types for storing info about this properties of
field. It should be replaced with better implementation when new
.frm format is introduced.
BINARY(N) and VARBIBARY(N)
2. More 4.0 compatibility and more BINARY keyword consistency:
2a. CREATE TABLE a (a CHAR(N) BINARY)
is now synonym for
CREATE TABLE a (a CHAR(N) COLLATE xxxx_bin)
2b. SELECT BINARY x
is still synonin for
SELECT x COLLATE xxxxx_bin.
values for TIMESTAMP columns. The solution is not perfect since
we just silently ignoring default value for first TIMESTAMP
column and properly reflecting this fact in SHOW CREATE TABLE.
We can't give a warning or simply support standard syntax
(niladic functions as legal value for default) for first field
since it is 4.0 tree.
Cleaned up embedded library access and query cache handling
Changed min stack size to 128K (to allow longer MyISAM keys)
Fixed wrong priority for XOR (should be less than NEG to get -1^1 to work)
Signed auto_increment keys for HASH tables (like for MyISAM tables in 4.0)
nitialize system_charset_info() early. Fixes core dump when starting windows service
Fixed problem with char > 128 in QUOTE() function. (Bug #1868)
Disable creation of symlinks if my_disable_symlink is set
Fixed searching of TEXT with end space. (Bug #1651)
Fixed caching bug in multi-table-update where same table was used twice. (Bug #1711)
Fixed problem with UNIX_TIMESTAMP() for timestamps close to 0. (Bug #1998)
Fixed timestamp.test
Cleaned up (and disabled part of) date/time/datetime format patch. One can't anymore change default read/write date/time/formats.
This is becasue the non standard datetime formats can't be compared as strings and MySQL does still a lot of datetime comparisons as strings
Changed flag argument to str_to_TIME() and get_date() from bool to uint
Removed THD from str_to_xxxx functions and Item class.
Fixed core dump when doing --print-defaults
Move some common string functions to strfunc.cc
Dates as strings are now of type my_charset_bin instead of default_charset()
Introduce IDENT_QUOTED to not have to create an extra copy of simple identifiers (all chars < 128)
Removed xxx_FORMAT_TYPE enums and replaced them with the old TIMESTAMP_xxx enums
Renamed some TIMESTAMP_xxx enums to more appropriate names
Use defines instead of integers for date/time/datetime string lengths
Added to build system and use the new my_strtoll10() function.
The above query created a field of koi8r charset, not cp1251
Change:
CREATE TABLE a (a CHAR(1) CHARACTER SET utf8)
Length now means character length, not byte length.
The above creates a field that guarantees can store a multibyte value
1 character long. For utf8 the above creates a field that can store
3 bytes.
Fix LOAD DATA INFILE warnings to have a better meanigful messages
Fix to make the mysql command line to automatically show the warnings count for all basic commands
Changed timestamp to return string in YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS format.
DATE_ADD() and related functions now returns correct DATE/DATETIME type depending on argument types.
Now all tests passes, still some work left to remove warnings in log files from mysql-test-run
Class for sending data from server to client (Protocol)
This handles both the old ( <= 4.0 ) protocol and then new binary protocol that is used for prepared statements.
Let MySQL 4.0 read 4.1 .frm files without 4.1 specific extensions
New variables @@rand_seed1 and @@rand_seed2 (used by replication)
DROP TEMPORARY TABLE
Warning handling and initial prepared statement handling (last not complete yet)
Changed a lot of functions that returned 0/1 to my_bool type.
GRANT handling now uses read/write locks instead of mutex
Change basic net functions to use THD instead of NET
(needed for 4.1 protocol)
Use my_sprintf instead of sprintf() + strlen()
Added alloc_query() to be able to chare query initialization code with
prepared statements.
Cleanup handling of SHOW COUNT(*) WARNINGS and SELECT LAST_INSERT_ID()
Note that the following test fails (will be fixed ASAP):
sub_select, union, rpl_rotate_logs and rpl_mystery22
Some simple optimzations, more comments and indentation changes.
Add ` around database in 'use database' in binary log.
Moved max_error_count and max_warning_count to variables struct.
Removed SHOW_WARNS_COUNT and SHOW_ERRORS_COUNT calls.
Changed string functions to use character set of first string argument as default return characterset
(Each string function can change the above assumption if needed)
Fixed bugs in my last changeset that made MySQL hard to compile.
Added mutex around some data that could cause table cache corruptions when using OPTIMIZE TABLE / REPAIR TABLE or automatic repair of MyISAM tables.
Added mutex around some data in the slave start/stop code that could cause THD linked list corruptions
Extended my_chsize() to allow one to specify a filler character.
Extend vio_blocking to return the old state (This made some usage of this function much simpler)
Added testing for some functions that they caller have got the required mutexes before calling the function.
Use setrlimit() to ensure that we can write core file if one specifies --core-file.
Added --slave-compressed-protocol
Made 2 the minimum length for ft_min_word_len
Added variables foreign_key_checks & unique_checks.
Less logging from replication code (if not started with --log-warnings)
Changed that SHOW INNODB STATUS requre the SUPER privilege
More DBUG statements and a lot of new code comments
new file
Client-server protocol 4.1 changes - Server side:
* Enhanced metadata information:
- SHOW [COUNT(*)] ERRORS [LIMIT [offset,] rows]
- SHOW [COUNT(*)] WARNING [LIMIT [offset,] rows]
- SHOW TABLE TYPES
- SHOW PRIVILEGES
- SHOW COLUMN TYPES (Not fully implemented)
* Prepared execution
* Long data handling in pieces
* And other misc changes
SHOW DATABASES
CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE
LOCK TABLES
REPLICATION SLAVE & REPLICATION CLIENT
SUPER
EXECUTE
All scripts & documentation is updated for this change.
Added better error messages for global privileges
Changed some sql_alloc() -> thd->alloc()
Removed a lot of compiler warnings on Linux Alpha (64 bit)
Fixed some core dumps on 64 bit systems (wrong type for packet_len)
Patches required by Gemini
