78cc6db44a MDEV-4667 DATE('string') incompability between mysql and mariadb
Cleanup: remove TIME_FUZZY_DATE.

Introduce TIME_FUZZY_DATES which means "very fuzzy, the resulting
value is only used for comparison. It can be invalid date, fine, as long as it can be
compared".

Updated many tests results (they're better now).

  As a result, temp tables preserve microseconds (on DISTINCT, GROUP BY)
* I_S tables force decimals=0 on temporal types (backward compatibility)
* Item_func_coalesce calculates decimals for temporal types
* no precision for TIME/DATETIME in CAST means 0, not NOT_FIXED_DEC
* addtime/timediff calculate decimals from arguments (not NOT_FIXED_DEC)

8b25c0e4dc Bug #55565: debug assertion when ordering by expressions with user
variable assignments

The assert() that is firing is checking if expressions that can't be
null return a NULL when evaluated.
MAKEDATE() function can return NULL if the second argument is
less then or equal to 0. Thus its nullability depends not only on
the nullability of its arguments but also on their values.
Fixed by (overoptimistically) setting MAKEDATE() to be nullable
despite the nullability of its arguments.
Test added.
Had to update one test result to reflect the metadata change.

1360ca0962 Backport of fix to bug #33629 into mysql-next-mr-bugfixing.
Bug #33629: last_day function can return null, but has 'not null' flag set for result

LAST_DAY and MAKEDATE functions are documented as
returning NULL value, but actually they was implemented
as returning NOT NULL typed values.

That caused a confusing error "ERROR 1048 (23000): Column
'...' cannot be null" on queries like:

  SELECT 1 FROM (SELECT LAST_DAY('0')) a;

    Bug #33629: last_day function can return null, but has 'not null' flag set for result

    1. The Item_func_makedate::fix_length_and_dec method
       has been modified to declare MAKEDATE() as a function
       returning nullable value.
    2. The Item_func_last_day::fix_length_and_dec method
       has been overloaded for the same purpose.

d66dc23065 Bug#42525: TIMEDIFF function
In 37553 we declared longlong results for
class Item_str_timefunc as per comments/docs,
but didn't add a method for that. And the
default just wasn't good enough for some
cases.

Changeset adds dedicated val_int() to class.

d096079d33 Bug#37553: MySql Error Compare TimeDiff & Time
We pretended that TIMEDIFF() would always return positive results;
this gave strange results in comparisons of the TIMEDIFF(low,hi)<TIME(0)
type that rendered a negative result, but still gave false in comparison.
We also inadvertantly dropped the sign when converting times to
decimal.

CAST(time AS DECIMAL) handles signs of the times correctly.
TIMEDIFF() marked up as signed. Time/date comparison code switched to
signed for clarity.

91f6d169a6 Bug#30951: makedate returns different results depending on version of mysql
makedate() will fold years below 100 into the 1970-2069 range. CS removes code
that also wrongly folded years between 100 and 200 into that range, which should
be left unchanged. Backport from 5.1.

mysql-test/r/func_sapdb.result:
  Show that makedate() works correctly for 100 <= year < 200.
mysql-test/t/func_sapdb.test:
  Show that makedate() works correctly for 100 <= year < 200.
sql-common/my_time.c:
  Remove unnecessary date magic. Syncs behaviour with 5.1+
  and manual.

ae4141ed75 Bug#31160: MAKETIME() crashes server when returning NULL in ORDER BY using filesort
Even though it returns NULL, the MAKETIME function did not have this property set,
causing a failed assertion (designed to catch exactly this).
Fixed by setting the nullability property of MAKETIME().

b5e4f54a53 Backport of TIME->MYSQL_TIME / Y2K fixset
Made year 2000 handling more uniform
Removed year 2000 handling out from calc_days()
The above removes some bugs in date/datetimes with year between 0 and 200
Now we get a note when we insert a datetime value into a date column
For default values to CREATE, don't give errors for warning level NOTE
Fixed some compiler failures
Added library ws2_32 for windows compilation (needed if we want to compile with IOCP support)
Removed duplicate typedef TIME and replaced it with MYSQL_TIME

Better (more complete) fix for: Bug#21103 "DATE column not compared as DATE"
Fixed properly Bug#18997 "DATE_ADD and DATE_SUB perform year2K autoconversion magic on 4-digit year value"

634d3ff2c6 Fixes a number of problems with time/datetime <-> string conversion functions:
- bug #11655 "Wrong time is returning from nested selects - maximum time exists
- input and output TIME values were not validated properly in several conversion functions
- bug #20927 "sec_to_time treats big unsigned as signed"
- integer overflows were not checked in several functions. As a result, input values like 2^32 or 3600*2^32 were treated as 0
- BIGINT UNSIGNED values were treated as SIGNED in several functions
- in cases where both input string truncation and out-of-range TIME value occur, only 'truncated incorrect time value' warning was produced

include/my_time.h:
  Added defines for the TIME limits
  Added defines for the warning flags set by str_to_time() and check_time_range()
  Added check_time_range() declaration
mysql-test/r/func_sapdb.result:

mysql-test/r/func_time.result:
  Fixed testcase which relied on incorrect behaviour

mysql-test/t/func_time.test:
  Added testcases for out-of-range values in SEC_TO_TIME(), TIME_TO_SEC(), ADDTIME(), SUBTIME() and EXTRACT()
sql-common/my_time.c:
  Added check_time_range() to be used from str_to_time() and item_timefunc.cc
  Added new out-of-range flag to str_to_time() warnings
  Use '%u' instead of '%d' in my_*_to_str() because the arguments are unsigned
sql/field.cc:
  Replaced out-of-range checks with checks for flags returned by str_to_time()
sql/item_timefunc.cc:
  Added wrappers over make_datetime() and make_time() which perform out-of-range checks on input values
  Moved common code in Item_func_sec_to_time::val_str() and Item_func_sec_to_time::val_int() into a separate function sec_to_time()
  Replaced calls to make_datetime() with make_datetime_with_warn() in Item_func_add_time and Item_func_timediff
  Checks for 'unsigned int' overflows in Item_func_maketime
  Use make_time_with_warn() instead of make_time() in Item_func_maketime
  Fixed incorrect sizeof() in Item_func_str_to_date::get_time()
sql/time.cc:
  Check for return value of str_to_time() along with warning flags

fee4b2c271 Fix for bug #8068 "TIMEDIFF with first negative argument gives wrong
result" (and similar bug in ADDTIME/SUBTIME).

Both Item_func_add_time/Item_func_timediff::val_str() now use
calc_time_diff() function which was backported from 5.0 (and which
was was fixed to properly handle microseconds part of its second
argument). Also now we correctly set sign of result in case when
first argument is negative and second is positive.

mysql-test/r/func_sapdb.result:
  Added test for bug #8068 "TIMEDIFF with first negative argument gives wrong
  result".
mysql-test/t/func_sapdb.test:
  Added test for bug #8068 "TIMEDIFF with first negative argument gives wrong
  result".
sql/item_timefunc.cc:
  - Backported calc_time_diff() function from 5.0 tree. Changed it to
    accept time value as its second argument when its first argument
    is datetime value. Fixed wrong handling of microsecond part of
    second argument.
  - Item_func_add_time::val_str()/Item_func_timediff::val_str()
    Removed similar pieces of code calculating difference
    between two datetime values (or their sum) in microseconds.
    Now we use calc_time_diff() function instead.
    Also now we correctly set sign of result in case when first
    argument is negative and second is positive.

  working properly" in 5.0 tree.
sql/item_timefunc.cc:
  calc_time_diff():
    Use simplier and less error-prone implementation. Now we are counting
    difference between time values in microseconds and then convert it to
    seconds + microseconds value (instead of using seconds and taking
    difference in "second_part"s into account).
