3fa2673f19 Bug#39955 SELECT on INFORMATION_SCHEMA.GLOBAL_VARIABLES takes too long
VARIABLE_VALUE field is decreased to 1024 symbols.
(affected I_S tables: GLOBAL_VARIABLES, SESSION_VARIABLES,
 GLOBAL_STATUS, SESSION_STATUS).
The only variable which can be longer than 1024 is
init_connect. The variable will be truncated with warning.
Additional fix:
Added where condition filter which speed up queries which
have where condition with expressions which use VARIABLE_NAME
field.

abd09620db Bug#14326: No formatting of partitioning clause in SHOW CREATE TABLE output
The partitioning clause is only a very long single line, which is very
hard to interpret for a human. This patch breaks the partitioning
syntax into one line for the partitioning type, and one line per
partition/subpartition.

218c4e15fc Bug#24289 Status Variable "Questions" gets wrong values with Stored Routines
When running Stored Routines the Status Variable "Questions" was wrongly
incremented. According to the manual it should contain the "number of
statements that clients have sent to the server"

Introduced a new status variable 'questions' to replace the query_id
variable which currently corresponds badly with the number of statements
sent by the client.

The new behavior is ment to be backward compatible with 4.0 and at the
same time work with new features in a similar way.

This is a backport from 6.0

70b18065d0 Bug #34707: Row based replication: slave creates table within wrong database
The failure was caused by executing a CREATE-SELECT statement that creates a
table in another database than the current one. In row-based logging, the
CREATE statement was written to the binary log without the database, hence
creating the table in the wrong database, causing the following inserts to
fail since the table didn't exist in the given database.

Fixed the bug by adding a parameter to store_create_info() that will make
the function print the database name before the table name and used that
in the calls that write the CREATE statement to the binary log. The database
name is only printed if it is different than the currently selected database.

The output of SHOW CREATE TABLE has not changed and is still printed without
the database name.

86db2a0cd5 Bug#34529: Crash on complex Falcon I_S select after ALTER .. PARTITION BY
When swapping out heap I_S tables to disk, this is done after plan refinement.
Thus, READ_RECORD::file will still point to the (deleted) heap handler at start
of execution. This causes segmentation fault if join buffering is used and the
query is a star query where the result is found to be empty before accessing
some table. In this case that table has not been initialized (i.e. had its
READ_RECORD re-initialized) before the cleanup routine tries to close the handler.
Fixed by updating READ_RECORD::file when changing handler.

553d70d0ee BUG#34656 - KILL a query = Assertion failed: m_status == DA_ERROR ||
m_status == DA_OK

Reading from information_scema.tables or information_schema.columns
may cause assertion failure in debug builds. This may happen under
rare circumstances when information_schema fails to get information
about a table (e.g. when a connection is killed).

This happens because open_normal_and_derived_tables() can return an
error without setting an error message in THD. But information_schema
attempts to get an error message from THD unconditionally.

With this fix information_schema attempts to get an error message
from THD only in case error message is set in THD.

340906f46d Fix for Bug#30217: Views: changes in metadata behaviour
between 5.0 and 5.1.

The problem was that in the patch for Bug#11986 it was decided
to store original query in UTF8 encoding for the INFORMATION_SCHEMA.
This approach however turned out to be quite difficult to implement
properly. The main problem is to preserve the same IS-output after
dump/restore.

So, the fix is to rollback to the previous functionality, but also
to fix it to support multi-character-set-queries properly. The idea
is to generate INFORMATION_SCHEMA-query from the item-tree after
parsing view declaration. The IS-query should:
  - be completely in UTF8;
  - not contain character set introducers.

For more information, see WL4052.

b46ce80902 A fix and a test case for Bug#34166 Server crash in SHOW OPEN TABLES and
pre-locking.

The crash was caused by an implicit assumption in check_table_access() that
table_list parameter is always a part of lex->query_tables.

When iterating over the passed list of tables, check_table_access() used
to stop only when lex->query_tables_last_not_own was reached.
In case of pre-locking, lex->query_tables_last_own is not NULL and points
to some element of lex->query_tables. When the parameter
of check_table_access() was not part of lex->query_tables, loop invariant
could never be violated and a crash would happen when the current table
pointer would point beyond the end of the provided list.

The fix is to change the signature of check_table_access() to also accept
a numeric limit of loop iterations, similarly to check_grant(), and
supply this limit in all places when we want to check access of tables
that are outside lex->query_tables, or just want to check access to one table.

ebb9c5d983 Bug#12713 "Error in a stored function called from a SELECT doesn't
cause ROLLBACK of statement", part 1. Review fixes.

Do not send OK/EOF packets to the client until we reached the end of
the current statement.
This is a consolidation, to keep the functionality that is shared by all
SQL statements in one place in the server.
Currently this functionality includes:
- close_thread_tables()
- log_slow_statement().

After this patch and the subsequent patch for Bug#12713, it shall also include:
- ha_autocommit_or_rollback()
- net_end_statement()
- query_cache_end_of_result().

In future it may also include:
- mysql_reset_thd_for_next_command().

4fa7ee92e6 Bug#30081: "ON UPDATE CURRENT_TIMESTAMP" wasn't shown by the SHOW FIELDS
command and reported to a client.

The fact that a timestamp field will be set to NO on UPDATE wasn't shown
by the SHOW COMMAND and reported to a client through connectors. This led to
problems in the ODBC connector and might lead to a user confusion.

A new filed flag called ON_UPDATE_NOW_FLAG is added.
Constructors of the Field_timestamp set it when a field should be set to NOW
on UPDATE.

The get_schema_column_record function now reports whether a timestamp field
will be set to NOW on UPDATE.

f12087af58 Rewrite profiler code to be easier to maintain and less buggy.
Between 5.0 and 5.1, the step of incrementing the global query id
changed, which broke how the profiler noticed when a new query had
started. That reset the state list and caused all but the last
five (or so) states to be thrown away.

Now, don't watch for query_id changes in the lower level.

Add a bogus state change at the end of profiling so that the last
real state change is timed.

Emit source reference for the start of the span of time instead of
the end of it.

c4298a3fb9 BUG#29549 (Endians: test failures on Solaris):
Refactoring code to add parameter to pack() and unpack() functions with
purpose of indicating if data should be packed in little-endian or
native order. Using new functions to always pack data for binary log
in little-endian order. The purpose of this refactoring is to allow
proper implementation of endian-agnostic pack() and unpack() functions.

Eliminating several versions of virtual pack() and unpack() functions
in favor for one single virtual function which is overridden in
subclasses.

Implementing pack() and unpack() functions for some field types that
packed data in native format regardless of the value of the
st_table_share::db_low_byte_first flag.

The field types that were packed in native format regardless are:
Field_real, Field_decimal, Field_tiny, Field_short, Field_medium,
Field_long, Field_longlong, and Field_blob.

Before the patch, row-based logging wrote the rows incorrectly on
big-endian machines where the storage engine defined its own
low_byte_first() to be FALSE on big-endian machines (the default
is TRUE), while little-endian machines wrote the fields in correct
order. The only known storage engine that does this is NDB. In effect,
this means that row-based replication from or to a big-endian
machine where the table was using NDB as storage engine failed if the
other engine was either non-NDB or on a little-endian machine.

With this patch, row-based logging is now always done in little-endian
order, while ORDER BY uses the native order if the storage engine
defines low_byte_first() to return FALSE for big-endian machines.

In addition, the max_data_length() function available in Field_blob

f18b23861a Bug#30020: Insufficient check led to a wrong info provided by the
information schema table.

The get_schema_views_record() function fills records in the view table of
the informations schema with data about given views. Among other info
the is_updatable flag is set. But the check whether the view is updatable or
not wasn't covering all cases thus sometimes providing wrong info.
This might led to a user confusion.

Now the get_schema_views_record function additionally calls to the
view->can_be_merge() function to find out whether the view can be updated or
not.

c7bbd8917c WL#3984 (Revise locking of mysql.general_log and mysql.slow_log)
Bug#25422 (Hang with log tables)
Bug 17876 (Truncating mysql.slow_log in a SP after using cursor locks the
          thread)
Bug 23044 (Warnings on flush of a log table)
Bug 29129 (Resetting general_log while the GLOBAL READ LOCK is set causes
           a deadlock)

Prior to this fix, the server would hang when performing concurrent
ALTER TABLE or TRUNCATE TABLE statements against the LOG TABLES,
which are mysql.general_log and mysql.slow_log.

The root cause traces to the following code:
in sql_base.cc, open_table()
  if (table->in_use != thd)
  {
    /* wait_for_condition will unlock LOCK_open for us */
    wait_for_condition(thd, &LOCK_open, &COND_refresh);
  }
The problem with this code is that the current implementation of the
LOGGER creates 'fake' THD objects, like
- Log_to_csv_event_handler::general_log_thd
- Log_to_csv_event_handler::slow_log_thd
which are not associated to a real thread running in the server,
so that waiting for these non-existing threads to release table locks
cause the dead lock.

In general, the design of Log_to_csv_event_handler does not fit into the
general architecture of the server, so that the concept of general_log_thd
and slow_log_thd has to be abandoned:
- this implementation does not work with table locking
- it will not work with commands like SHOW PROCESSLIST
- having the log tables always opened does not integrate well with DDL
operations / FLUSH TABLES / SET GLOBAL READ_ONLY

With this patch, the fundamental design of the LOGGER has been changed to:
- always open and close a log table when writing a log
- remove totally the usage of fake THD objects
- clarify how locking of log tables is implemented in general.

See WL#3984 for details related to the new locking design.

Additional changes (misc bugs exposed and fixed):

1)

mysqldump which would ignore some tables in dump_all_tables_in_db(),
 but forget to ignore the same in dump_all_views_in_db().

2)

mysqldump would also issue an empty "LOCK TABLE" command when all the tables
to lock are to be ignored (numrows == 0), instead of not issuing the query.

3)

Internal errors handlers could intercept errors but not warnings
(see sql_error.cc).

4)

Implementing a nested call to open tables, for the performance schema tables,
exposed an existing bug in remove_table_from_cache(), which would perform:
  in_use->some_tables_deleted=1;
against another thread, without any consideration about thread locking.
This call inside remove_table_from_cache() was not required anyway,
since calling mysql_lock_abort() takes care of aborting -- cleanly -- threads
that might hold a lock on a table.
This line (in_use->some_tables_deleted=1) has been removed.

3f2e94c401 Fix for 5.1 for BUG#10491: Server returns data as charset binary
SHOW CREATE TABLE or SELECT FROM I_S.

This is the last patch for this bug, which depends on the big
CS patch and was pending.

The problem was that SHOW CREATE statements returned original
queries in the binary character set. That could cause the query
to be unreadable.

The fix is to use original character_set_client when sending
the original query to the client. In order to preserve the query
in mysqldump, 'binary' character set results should be set when
issuing SHOW CREATE statement. If either source or destination
character set is 'binary' , no conversion is performed.
The idea is that since the source character set is no longer
'binary', we fix the destination character set to still produce
valid dumps.

a33bc2c247 Remove typedef st_table_list TABLE_LIST and always use name 'TABLE_LIST'.
The need arose when working on Bug 26141, where it became
necessary to replace TABLE_LIST with its forward declaration in a few
headers, and this involved a lot of s/TABLE_LIST/st_table_list/.
Although other workarounds exist, this patch is in line
with our general strategy of moving away from typedef-ed names.
Sometime in future we might also rename TABLE_LIST to follow the
coding style, but this is a huge change.

9fae9ef66f Patch for the following bugs:
- BUG#11986: Stored routines and triggers can fail if the code
    has a non-ascii symbol
  - BUG#16291: mysqldump corrupts string-constants with non-ascii-chars
  - BUG#19443: INFORMATION_SCHEMA does not support charsets properly
  - BUG#21249: Character set of SP-var can be ignored
  - BUG#25212: Character set of string constant is ignored (stored routines)
  - BUG#25221: Character set of string constant is ignored (triggers)

There were a few general problems that caused these bugs:
1. Character set information of the original (definition) query for views,
   triggers, stored routines and events was lost.
2. mysqldump output query in client character set, which can be
   inappropriate to encode definition-query.
3. INFORMATION_SCHEMA used strings with mixed encodings to display object
   definition;

1. No query-definition-character set.

In order to compile query into execution code, some extra data (such as
environment variables or the database character set) is used. The problem
here was that this context was not preserved. So, on the next load it can
differ from the original one, thus the result will be different.

The context contains the following data:
  - client character set;
  - connection collation (character set and collation);
  - collation of the owner database;

The fix is to store this context and use it each time we parse (compile)
and execute the object (stored routine, trigger, ...).

2. Wrong mysqldump-output.

The original query can contain several encodings (by means of character set
introducers). The problem here was that we tried to convert original query
to the mysqldump-client character set.

Moreover, we stored queries in different character sets for different
objects (views, for one, used UTF8, triggers used original character set).

The solution is
  - to store definition queries in the original character set;
  - to change SHOW CREATE statement to output definition query in the
    binary character set (i.e. without any conversion);
  - introduce SHOW CREATE TRIGGER statement;
  - to dump special statements to switch the context to the original one
    before dumping and restore it afterwards.

Note, in order to preserve the database collation at the creation time,
additional ALTER DATABASE might be used (to temporary switch the database
collation back to the original value). In this case, ALTER DATABASE
privilege will be required. This is a backward-incompatible change.

3. INFORMATION_SCHEMA showed non-UTF8 strings

The fix is to generate UTF8-query during the parsing, store it in the object
and show it in the INFORMATION_SCHEMA.

Basically, the idea is to create a copy of the original query convert it to
UTF8. Character set introducers are removed and all text literals are
converted to UTF8.

This UTF8 query is intended to provide user-readable output. It must not be
used to recreate the object. Specialized SHOW CREATE statements should be
used for this.

The reason for this limitation is the following: the original query can
contain symbols from several character sets (by means of character set
introducers).

Example:

  - original query:
    CREATE VIEW v1 AS SELECT _cp1251 'Hello' AS c1;

  - UTF8 query (for INFORMATION_SCHEMA):
    CREATE VIEW v1 AS SELECT 'Hello' AS c1;

088e2395f1 WL#3817: Simplify string / memory area types and make things more consistent (first part)
The following type conversions was done:

- Changed byte to uchar
- Changed gptr to uchar*
- Change my_string to char *
- Change my_size_t to size_t
- Change size_s to size_t

Removed declaration of byte, gptr, my_string, my_size_t and size_s.

Following function parameter changes was done:
- All string functions in mysys/strings was changed to use size_t
  instead of uint for string lengths.
- All read()/write() functions changed to use size_t (including vio).
- All protocoll functions changed to use size_t instead of uint
- Functions that used a pointer to a string length was changed to use size_t*
- Changed malloc(), free() and related functions from using gptr to use void *
  as this requires fewer casts in the code and is more in line with how the
  standard functions work.
- Added extra length argument to dirname_part() to return the length of the
  created string.
- Changed (at least) following functions to take uchar* as argument:
  - db_dump()
  - my_net_write()
  - net_write_command()
  - net_store_data()
  - DBUG_DUMP()
  - decimal2bin() & bin2decimal()
- Changed my_compress() and my_uncompress() to use size_t. Changed one
  argument to my_uncompress() from a pointer to a value as we only return
  one value (makes function easier to use).
- Changed type of 'pack_data' argument to packfrm() to avoid casts.
- Changed in readfrm() and writefrom(), ha_discover and handler::discover()
  the type for argument 'frmdata' to uchar** to avoid casts.
- Changed most Field functions to use uchar* instead of char* (reduced a lot of
  casts).
- Changed field->val_xxx(xxx, new_ptr) to take const pointers.

Other changes:
- Removed a lot of not needed casts
- Added a few new cast required by other changes
- Added some cast to my_multi_malloc() arguments for safety (as string lengths
  needs to be uint, not size_t).
- Fixed all calls to hash-get-key functions to use size_t*. (Needed to be done
  explicitely as this conflict was often hided by casting the function to
  hash_get_key).
- Changed some buffers to memory regions to uchar* to avoid casts.
- Changed some string lengths from uint to size_t.
- Changed field->ptr to be uchar* instead of char*. This allowed us to
  get rid of a lot of casts.
- Some changes from true -> TRUE, false -> FALSE, unsigned char -> uchar
- Include zlib.h in some files as we needed declaration of crc32()
- Changed MY_FILE_ERROR to be (size_t) -1.
- Changed many variables to hold the result of my_read() / my_write() to be
  size_t. This was needed to properly detect errors (which are
  returned as (size_t) -1).
- Removed some very old VMS code
- Changed packfrm()/unpackfrm() to not be depending on uint size
  (portability fix)
- Removed windows specific code to restore cursor position as this
  causes slowdown on windows and we should not mix read() and pread()
  calls anyway as this is not thread safe. Updated function comment to
  reflect this. Changed function that depended on original behavior of
  my_pwrite() to itself restore the cursor position (one such case).
- Added some missing checking of return value of malloc().
- Changed definition of MOD_PAD_CHAR_TO_FULL_LENGTH to avoid 'long' overflow.
- Changed type of table_def::m_size from my_size_t to ulong to reflect that
  m_size is the number of elements in the array, not a string/memory
  length.
- Moved THD::max_row_length() to table.cc (as it's not depending on THD).
  Inlined max_row_length_blob() into this function.
- More function comments
- Fixed some compiler warnings when compiled without partitions.
- Removed setting of LEX_STRING() arguments in declaration (portability fix).
- Some trivial indentation/variable name changes.
- Some trivial code simplifications:
  - Replaced some calls to alloc_root + memcpy to use
    strmake_root()/strdup_root().
  - Changed some calls from memdup() to strmake() (Safety fix)
  - Simpler loops in client-simple.c

98db230086 A set of changes aiming to make the Event Scheduler more user-friendly
when there are no up-to-date system tables to support it:
 - initialize the scheduler before reporting "Ready for connections".
   This ensures that warnings, if any, are printed before "Ready for
   connections", and this message is not mangled.
 - do not abort the scheduler if there are no system tables
 - check the tables once at start up, remember the status and disable
   the scheduler if the tables are not up to date.
   If one attempts to use the scheduler with bad tables,
   issue an error message.
 - clean up the behaviour of the module under LOCK TABLES and pre-locking
   mode
 - make sure implicit commit of Events DDL works as expected.
 - add more tests

5441aefd1d Fix for BUG#27337: Privileges are not properly restored.
The problem was that THD::db_access variable was not restored after
database switch in stored-routine-execution code.

The fix is to restore THD::db_access in this case.

Unfortunately, this fix requires additional changes,
because in prepare_schema_table(), called on the parsing stage, we checked
privileges. That was wrong according to our design, but this flaw haven't
struck so far, because it was masked. All privilege checkings must be
done on the execution stage in order to be compatible with prepared statements
and stored routines. So, this patch also contains patch for
prepare_schema_table(), which moves the checkings to the execution phase.

cc83bb0784 Fix for BUG#25082: default database change on trigger
execution breaks replication.

When a stored routine is executed, we switch current
database to the database, in which the routine
has been created. When the stored routine finishes,
we switch back to the original database.

The problem was that if the original database does not
exist (anymore) after routine execution, we raised an error.

The fix is to report a warning, and switch to the NULL database.

6d8f6b5bfd BUG#16420: Events: timestamps become UTC
BUG#26429: SHOW CREATE EVENT is incorrect for an event that

BUG#26431: Impossible to re-create an event from backup if its
           STARTS clause is in the past
WL#3698: Events: execution in local time zone

The problem was that local times specified by the user in AT, STARTS
and ENDS of CREATE EVENT/ALTER EVENT statement were converted to UTC,
and the original time zone was forgotten. This way, event scheduler
couldn't honor Daylight Saving Time shifts, and times shown to the
user were also in UTC. Additionally, CREATE EVENT didn't allow times
in the past, thus preventing straightforward event restoration from
old backups.

This patch reworks event scheduler time computations, performing them
in the time zone associated with the event. Also it allows times to
be in the past.

The patch adds time_zone column to mysql.event table.

NOTE: The patch is almost final, but the bug#9953 should be pushed
first.

3e44599c11 WL#3629 - Replication of Invocation and Invoked Features
This changeset adds replication of events and user-defined functions.
There are several bug reports involved in this change:

BUG#16421, BUG#17857, BUG#20384:
This patch modifies the mysql.events table to permit the addition of
another enum value for the status column. The column now has values
of ('DISABLED','SLAVESIDE_DISABLED','ENABLED'). A status of
SLAVESIDE_DISABLED is set on the slave during replication of events.
This enables users to determine which events werereplicated from the
master and to later enable them if they promote the slave to a master.
The CREATE, ALTER, and DROP statements are binlogged.
A new test was added for replication of events (rpl_events).

BUG#17671:
This patch modifies the code to permit logging of user-defined functions.
Note: this is the CREATE FUNCTION ... SONAME variety. A more friendly error
message to be displayed should a replicated user-defined function not be
found in the loadable library or if the library is missing from the
slave.The CREATE andDROP statements are binlogged. A new test was added
for replication of user-defined functions (rpl_udf).

The patch also adds a new column to the mysql.event table named
'originator' that is used to store the server_id of the server that
the event originated on. This enables users to promote a slave to a
master and later return the promoted slave to a slave and disable the
replicated events.

c19affef54 BUG#9953: CONVERT_TZ requires mysql.time_zone_name to be locked
The problem was that some facilities (like CONVERT_TZ() function or
server HELP statement) may require implicit access to some tables in
'mysql' database. This access was done by ordinary means of adding
such tables to the list of tables the query is going to open.
However, if we issued LOCK TABLES before that, we would get "table
was not locked" error trying to open such implicit tables.

The solution is to treat certain tables as MySQL system tables, like
we already do for mysql.proc. Such tables may be opened for reading
at any moment regardless of any locks in effect. The cost of this is
that system table may be locked for writing only together with other
system tables, it is disallowed to lock system tables for writing and
have any other lock on any other table.

After this patch the following tables are treated as MySQL system
tables:
  mysql.help_category
  mysql.help_keyword
  mysql.help_relation
  mysql.help_topic
  mysql.proc (it already was)
  mysql.time_zone
  mysql.time_zone_leap_second
  mysql.time_zone_name
  mysql.time_zone_transition
  mysql.time_zone_transition_type

These tables are now opened with open_system_tables_for_read() and
closed with close_system_tables(), or one table may be opened with
open_system_table_for_update() and closed with close_thread_tables()
(the latter is used for mysql.proc table, which is updated as part of
normal MySQL server operation). These functions may be used when
some tables were opened and locked already.

NOTE: online update of time zone tables is not possible during
replication, because there's no time zone cache flush neither on LOCK
TABLES, nor on FLUSH TABLES, so the master may serve stale time zone
data from cache, while on slave updated data will be loaded from the
time zone tables.

b9c82eaa89 WL#3527: Extend IGNORE INDEX so places where index is ignored
can be specified
Currently MySQL allows one to specify what indexes to ignore during
join optimization. The scope of the current USE/FORCE/IGNORE INDEX
statement is only the FROM clause, while all other clauses are not
affected.

However, in certain cases, the optimizer
may incorrectly choose an index for sorting and/or grouping, and
produce an inefficient query plan.

This task provides the means to specify what indexes are
ignored/used for what operation in a more fine-grained manner, thus
making it possible to manually force a better plan. We do this
by extending the current IGNORE/USE/FORCE INDEX syntax to:

IGNORE/USE/FORCE INDEX [FOR {JOIN | ORDER | GROUP BY}]

so that:
- if no FOR is specified, the index hint will apply everywhere.
- if MySQL is started with the compatibility option --old_mode then
  an index hint without a FOR clause works as in 5.0 (i.e, the
  index will only be ignored for JOINs, but can still be used to
  compute ORDER BY).

See the WL#3527 for further details.

Bug#24795: SHOW PROFILE

Profiling is only partially functional on some architectures. Where
there is no getrusage() system call, presently Null values are
returned where it would be required. Notably, Windows needs some love
applied to make it as useful.

  Syntax this adds:

  SHOW PROFILES

  SHOW PROFILE [types] [FOR QUERY n] [OFFSET n] [LIMIT n]
   where "n" is an integer
   and "types" is zero or many (comma-separated) of
      "CPU"
      "MEMORY" (not presently supported)
      "BLOCK IO"
      "CONTEXT SWITCHES"
      "PAGE FAULTS"
      "IPC"
      "SWAPS"
      "SOURCE"
      "ALL"

It also adds a session variable (boolean) "profiling", set to "no"
by default, and (integer) profiling_history_size, set to 15 by
default.

This patch abstracts setting THDs' "proc_info" behind a macro that
can be used as a hook into the profiling code when profiling
support is compiled in. All future code in this line should use
that mechanism for setting thd->proc_info.

90072e69b3 A fix and test cases for
Bug#4968 "Stored procedure crash if cursor opened on altered table"
Bug#19733 "Repeated alter, or repeated create/drop, fails"
Bug#19182 "CREATE TABLE bar (m INT) SELECT n FROM foo; doesn't work from
stored procedure."
Bug#6895 "Prepared Statements: ALTER TABLE DROP COLUMN does nothing"
Bug#22060 "ALTER TABLE x AUTO_INCREMENT=y in SP crashes server"

Test cases for bugs 4968, 19733, 6895 will be added in 5.0.

Re-execution of CREATE DATABASE, CREATE TABLE and ALTER TABLE
statements in stored routines or as prepared statements caused
incorrect results (and crashes in versions prior to 5.0.25).
In 5.1 the problem occured only for CREATE DATABASE, CREATE TABLE
SELECT and CREATE TABLE with INDEX/DATA DIRECTOY options).

The problem of bugs 4968, 19733, 19282 and 6895 was that functions
mysql_prepare_table, mysql_create_table and mysql_alter_table were not
re-execution friendly: during their operation they used to modify contents
of LEX (members create_info, alter_info, key_list, create_list),
thus making the LEX unusable for the next execution.
In particular, these functions removed processed columns and keys from
create_list, key_list and drop_list. Search the code in sql_table.cc
for drop_it.remove() and similar patterns to find evidence.

The fix is to supply to these functions a usable copy of each of the
above structures at every re-execution of an SQL statement.

To simplify memory management, LEX::key_list and LEX::create_list
were added to LEX::alter_info, a fresh copy of which is created for
every execution.

The problem of crashing bug 22060 stemmed from the fact that the above
metnioned functions were not only modifying HA_CREATE_INFO structure in
LEX, but also were changing it to point to areas in volatile memory of
the execution memory root.

The patch solves this problem by creating and using an on-stack
copy of HA_CREATE_INFO (note that code in 5.1 already creates and
uses a copy of this structure in mysql_create_table()/alter_table(),
but this approach didn't work well for CREATE TABLE SELECT statement).

Update mysqldump to dump the needed tablespaces to create the tables
for either the dbs or tables we're dumping.

With --all-tablespaces, we still dump everything.

46ae2113ba This patch adds handlerton passing to functions. NDB and Innodb still require a global hanlderton in the main code due to the nature of the sql_cache call back function (should be solveable... another patch).
Partitioning now has a flag to allow disabling of engines from being compatible with partitioning. Cleaned up heap naming convention on panic call.

5962886dce bug#22027: CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS SELECT logged improperly with rbr binlog,
and #22762: create talbe if not exists like a-temp-table binlogged w/o "if not exists"
    These are rbr bugs.
    store_create_info, which generates the create statement e.g for binlogging,
    did not account a lex option HA_LEX_CREATE_IF_NOT_EXISTS.

    The fix makes the generated query to include the parent's statement option
if
  that was supplied.
