The dates on the these files shows they are very dated.
Following the sentiments of MDEV-9882 the default values
are quite decent so lets remove this old stuff.
The XtraDB storage engine was already replaced by InnoDB
and disabled in MariaDB Server 10.2. Let us remove it altogether
to avoid dragging dead code around.
Replace some references to XtraDB with references to InnoDB.
rpl_get_position_info(): Remove.
Remove the mysql-test-run --suite=percona, because it only contains
tests specific to XtraDB, many of which were disabled already in
earlier MariaDB versions.
Other things
- Ensure that ut_d() is set to EXPR if ut_ad() is DEBUG_ASSERT()
If not, we will get a crash in purge_sys_t::~purge_sys_t() as
this ut_ad() code expect's that the ut_d() codes has been executed
Also, implement MDEV-11027 a little differently from 5.5 and 10.0:
recv_apply_hashed_log_recs(): Change the return type back to void
(DB_SUCCESS was always returned).
Report progress also via systemd using sd_notifyf().
Due to the way Advance Toolchain before 10.0-3 and 8.0-8 is
packaged, shared libraries installed after the library cache
advance-toolchain-atX.Y-runtime package aren't updated in
/opt/atX.Y/etc/ld.so.cache. This results in mysqld,
configured with RUNPATH set to /opt/atX.Y/lib64, resulting
in the Advance Toolchain loader being used and if libraries
such as jemalloc, libssl or any other library that mysqld uses
is installed after Advance Toolchain, these libraries aren't in
the cache and therefore won't be found in the RPM postinstall
when mysqld is executed by mysql_install_db.

Fix of Bug#25088048 caused paths to be relative, not absolute, this
proved to be problematic.
Fix is to still ignore current working directory, however switch to
using full path of basedir, which is set to parent directory of bin/
directory where mysqld_safe is located.
References to legacy tool mysql_print_defaults are removed, only
my_print_defaults is used these days.

Back port of WL#6782 to 5.5 and 5.6. This also includes
back port of Bug#20771331, Bug#20741572 and Bug#20770671.
Bug#24695274 and Bug#24679907 are also handled along with
this.

Galera recovery process works in two phases. In the first
phase, mysqld is started as non-daemon with --wsrep-recover
to recover and fetch the last logged global transaction ID.
This ID is then used in second phase as the start position
(--wsrep-start-position=XX) to start mysqld as daemon.
As this process was implemented in mysqld_safe script, the
recovery did not work when server was started using systemd.
Fixed by introducing a shell script (wsrep_recovery.sh) that
mimics the first phase of the recovery process.
--defaults-xxx options must be placed before all other
options in the command line. Also moved MYSQLD_OPTS at
the end so that its options take precedence.
- Fixed wait condition in kill_processlist-6619
- Updated Ssl_chiper for openssl tests
- Added supression for valgrinds when using libcrypto
- Fixed wrong argument to pthread_mutex in server_audit.c when compiling with debug
- Adding missing debug_sync_update() to debug_sync.h
- Added initializers to some variables and fixed error handling in jsonudf.cpp
- Fixed cluster_filter_unpack_varchar which doesn't have a stable index type.
- Updated compiler_warnings.supp
Adjust systemd files to enable CAP_IPC_LOCK to allow rootless mlockall
(triggered by memlock option).
This is amended version of a patch originally submitted by Daniel Black.
- Better error from check_slave_param
- Better error message from TokuDB if it can't be compiled.
- Marked rpl_mixed_drop_create_temp_table and
rpl_stm_drop_create_temp_table as big tests to stop timeout
failures on power8
- Added sync_slave_with_master to semisync_future-7591 to
ensure that slave is up to date with master before calling
rpl_end.
- Disabled compiler warnings from connect and mroonga and on
MacOSX.
Mroonga:
- Fixed bug when testing if file is a normal file that can be deleted
- Marked a lot of date and datetime test to not run on macosx.
This is because mktime() can't handle negative years and this
restricts mroonga so that it can only store dates after the year 1900.
Use galera_new_cluster instead. systemctl start mariadb@bootstrap
will generate error message, use_galera_new_cluster.conf is the name
of the file that will generate this error.
Output:
Job for mariadb@bootstrap.service failed. See "systemctl status
mariadb@bootstrap.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.

mariadb-service-convert during migration can create a file containing
ExecStartPre=/usr/sbin/sysctl -q -w vm.drop_caches=3 if the users my.cnf
contains [mysqld_safe] flush_caches. This sysctl entry change requires root
access. No existing ExecStartPre requires execution requires execution
as another user.
There is a comment in the mariadb{,@}.service.in that indicates
mysqld_install which would require -u mysql to explicity change user to
mysql from root since PermissionsStartOnly=true.
Otherwise the following error would be generated:

- Fixed compiler warnings
- Added include/wait_for_binlog_checkpoint.inc, as suggested by JonasO
- Updated 'build-tags' to work with git (Patch by Serg)
* skip debian 44_scripts__mysql_config__libs.dpatch it does not apply anymore
(and anyway it would not work for a static library)
* fix the path for install(mariadb.pc)
1. move cflags/libs cleanup from mysql_config.sh (runtime)
to for_client.cmake (build time). Include/library paths are
still calculated at runtime (they depend on the location of mysql_config)
2. Use cleaned-up cflags/libs to generate mariadb.pc
3. remove obsolete @expansions@ from mysql_config (for variables that are
never set in cmake files)
Merged lp:maria/maria-10.0-galera up to revision 3879.
Added a new functions to handler API to forcefully abort_transaction,
producing fake_trx_id, get_checkpoint and set_checkpoint for XA. These
were added for future possiblity to add more storage engines that
could use galera replication.

Correct perms and converts from Windows style to UNIX style line endings on some files.
Fix perms on installed ini files.

The reason was that a couple of variables that hold number of rows that was used to calculate buffers was uint and caused an overflow.
Fixed by changing variables that could hold number of rows from uint to ulong and also added a cast for this test.
include/heap.h:
Reorder to get better alignment. Changed variables that could hold number of rows from uint to ulong
mysql-test/suite/heap/heap.result:
Added test case
mysql-test/suite/heap/heap.test:
Added test case
mysql-test/suite/plugins/t/server_audit.test:
Added sleep as we want to have disconnect logged before we try a new connect
storage/heap/ha_heap.cc:
Changed variables that could hold number of rows from uint to ulong
Limit number of rows to 4G (as most of the variables that holds rows are ulong anyway)
reset records_changed when key_stat_version is changed to not cause increments for every row changed
storage/heap/ha_heap.h:
changed records_changed to ulong as this can get big
storage/heap/hp_create.c:
Changed variables that could hold number of rows from uint to ulong
Added cast (fixed the original bug)
storage/heap/hp_delete.c:
Changed variables that could hold number of rows from uint to ulong
storage/heap/hp_open.c:
Removed not needed cast
storage/heap/hp_write.c:
Changed variables that could hold number of rows from uint to ulong
support-files/compiler_warnings.supp:
Removed extra : from supression
Allow "rpm -q --whatprovides mysql-server" to return more than one row.
(all rows should be identical though)
support-files/rpm/server-prein.sh:
don't use "head -1" or "uniq" to avoid introducing new dependencies.
"sed" is already used in this script.
Don't try to be smart about --socket.
Assume that if user has set up a non-standard location for a socket,
she did it consistently for both a server and clients
(otherwise most clients won't work anyway).

-DINSTALL_SYSCONFDIR/-DDEFAULT_SYSCONFDIR specified
The reason for a bug is in support-files/CMakeLists.txt that tries to
install files in INSTALL_SYSCONF2DIR, without checking whether this
variable is actually defined.
Normally INSTALL_SYSCONF2DIR is always defined if INSTALL_SYSCONFDIR is
defined, and support-files/CMakeLists.txt assumes that. But when one
specifies INSTALL_SYSCONFDIR manually on the command line, this
assumption might be broken.
before running mysql_install_db check for the existence
of $datadir/mysql, not simply $datadir ($datadir might be mounted on
a separate device - exists, but empty)
