c2c93fc6e4 MDEV-14164: Unknown column error when adding aggregate to function in oracle style procedure FOR loop
Make differentiation between pullout for merge and pulout of outer field during exists2in transformation.
In last case the field was outer and so we can safely start from name resolution context of the SELECT where it was pulled.
Old behavior lead to inconsistence between list of tables and outer name resolution context (which skips one SELECT for merge purposes) which creates problem vor name resolution.

4aaa38d26e Enusure that my_global.h is included first
- Added sql/mariadb.h file that should be included first by files in sql
  directory, if sql_plugin.h is not used (sql_plugin.h adds SHOW variables
  that must be done before my_global.h is included)
- Removed a lot of include my_global.h from include files
- Removed include's of some files that my_global.h automatically includes
- Removed duplicated include's of my_sys.h
- Replaced include my_config.h with my_global.h

4f93c732d5 MDEV-13189: Window functions crash when using INTERVAL
Interval function makes use of Item_row. Item_row did not correctly mark
with_window_func flag according to its arguments. Fix it by making
Item_row aware of this flag.

2cfc450bf7 This is the consolidated patch for mdev-8646:
"Re-factor the code for post-join operations".

The patch mainly contains the code ported from mysql-5.6 and
created for two essential architectural changes:
1. WL#5558: Resolve ORDER BY execution method at the optimization stage
2. WL#6071: Inline tmp tables into the nested loops algorithm

The first task was implemented for mysql-5.6 by Ole John Aske.
It allows to make all decisions on ORDER BY operation at the optimization
stage.

The second task implemented for mysql-5.6 by Evgeny Potemkin adds JOIN_TAB
nodes for post-join operations that require temporary tables. It allows
to execute these operations within the nested loops algorithm that used to
be used before this task only for join queries. Besides these task moves
all planning on the execution of these operations from the execution phase
to the optimization phase.

Some other re-factoring changes of mysql-5.6 were pulled in, mainly because
it was easier to pull them in than roll them back. In particular all
changes concerning Ref_ptr_array were incorporated.

The port required some changes in the MariaDB code that concerned the
functionality of EXPLAIN and ANALYZE. This was done mainly by Sergey
Petrunia.

31e365efae MDEV-8010 - Avoid sql_alloc() in Items (Patch #1)
Added mandatory thd parameter to Item (and all derivative classes) constructor.
Added thd parameter to all routines that may create items.
Also removed "current_thd" from Item::Item. This reduced number of
pthread_getspecific() calls from 290 to 177 per OLTP RO transaction.

86377d078e Fixes done while working on MDEV-4119:
Fixed several optimizer issues relatied to GROUP BY:

a) Refering to a SELECT column in HAVING sometimes calculated it twice, which caused problems with non determinstic functions

b) Removing duplicate fields and constants from GROUP BY was done too late for "using index for group by" optimization to work

c) EXPLAIN SELECT ... GROUP BY did wrongly show 'Using filesort' in some cases involving "Using index for group-by"


a) was fixed by:
- Changed last argument to Item::split_sum_func2() from bool to int to allow more flags
- Added flag argument to Item::split_sum_func() to allow on to specify if the item was in the SELECT part
- Mark all split_sum_func() calls from SELECT with SPLIT_SUM_SELECT
- Changed split_sum_func2() to do nothing if called with an argument that is not a sum function and doesn't include sum functions, if we are not an argument to SELECT.

This ensures that in a case like
select a*sum(b) as f1 from t1 where a=1 group by c having f1 <= 10;

That 'a' in the SELECT part is stored as a reference in the temporary table togeher with sum(b) while the 'a' in having isn't (not needed as 'a' is already a reference to a column in the result)

b) was fixed by:
- Added an extra remove_const() pass for GROUP BY arguments before make_join_statistics() in case of one table SELECT.

This allowes get_best_group_min_max() to optimize things better.

c) was fixed by:
- Added test for group by optimization in JOIN::exec_inner for
  select->quick->get_type() == QUICK_SELECT_I::QS_TYPE_GROUP_MIN_MAX

item.cc:
- Simplifed Item::split_sum_func2()
  - Split test to make them faster and easier to read
  - Changed last argument to Item::split_sum_func2() from bool to int to allow more flags

- update_depend_map_for_order() and remove_const() fixed to handle the case where make_join_statistics() has not yet been called (join->join_tab is 0 in this case)

70823e1d91 MDEV-5120 Test suite test maria-no-logging fails
The reason for the failure was a bug in an include file on debian that causes 'struct stat'
to have different sized depending on the environment.

This patch fixes so that we always include my_global.h or my_config.h before we include any other files.

Other things:
- Removed #include <my_global.h> in some include files; Better to always do this at the top level to have as few
  "always-include-this-file-first' files as possible.
- Removed usage of some include files that where already included by my_global.h or by other files.

298008dc4f The problem was that expression with field after transformation (on the first execution)
reached by fix_fields() (via reference) before row which it belongs to (on the second execution)
and fix_field for row did not follow usual protocol for Items with argument
(first check that the item fixed then call fix_fields).

Item_row::fix_field fixed.

2255132f20 MDEV-4056 fix.
The problem was that maybe_null of Item_row and its componetes was unsynced after update_used_tables() (and so pushed_cond_guards was not initialized but then requested).

Fix  updates Item_row::maybe_null on update_used_tables().

ebbdb14a02 BUG#849776: Wrong result with semijoin + "Impossible where"

ff9c406c1d Fixed LP bug #809179.
The attribute not_null_tables could be calculated incorrectly in the
function SELECT_LEX::update_used_tables for queries over views 
with row items in the WHERE clause. It happened because no 
implementation of the virtual callback function eval_not_null_tables
was provided for the class Item_row.
Also slightly optimized the code calculating the value of the maybe_null
flag for tables in the function SELECT_LEX::update_used_tables.

52efe3e00d Preliminary patch for Bug#11848763 / 60025
(SUBSTRING inside a stored function works too slow).

Background:
  - THD classes derives from Query_arena, thus inherits the 'state'
    attribute and related operations (is_stmt_prepare() & co).

  - Although these operations are available in THD, they must not
    be used. THD has its own attribute to point to the active
    Query_arena -- stmt_arena.

  - So, instead of using thd->is_stmt_prepare(),
    thd->stmt_arena->is_stmt_prepare() must be used. This was the root
    cause of Bug 60025.

This patch enforces the proper way of calling those operations.
is_stmt_prepare() & co are declared as private operations
in THD (thus, they are hidden from being called on THD instance).

The patch tries to minimize changes in 5.5.

ec23949158 Fix LP BUG#715738
Analysis:
A query with implicit grouping is one with aggregate functions and
no GROUP BY clause. MariaDB inherits from MySQL an SQL extenstion
that allows mixing aggregate functions with non-aggregate fields.
If a query with such mixed select clause produces an empty result
set, the meaning of aggregate functions is well defined - either
NULL (MIN, MAX, etc.), or 0 (count(*)). However the non-aggregated
fields must also have some value, and the only reasonable value in
the case of empty result is NULL.

The cause of the many wrong results was that if a field is declared
as non-nullable (e.g. because it is a PK or NOT NULL), the semantic
analysis and the optimization phases treat this field as non-nullable,
and generate all related query plan elements based on this assumption.

Later during execution, these incorrectly configured/generated query
plan elements result in a wrong result because the selected fields
are not null due to the not-null assumption during optimization.

Solution:
Detect before the context analysys phase that a query uses implicit
grouping with mixed aggregates/non-aggregates, and set all fields
as nullable. The parser already walks the SELECT clause, and
already sets Item::with_sum_func for Items that reference aggreagate
functions. The patch adds a symmetric Item::with_field so that all
Items that reference an Item_field are marked during their
construction at parse time in the same way as with aggregate function
use.

We have several modes when we should disable subquery evaluation.
The reasons for disabling are different. It could be
uselessness of the evaluation as in case of 'CREATE VIEW'
or 'PREPARE stmt', or we should disable subquery evaluation
if tables are not locked yet as it happens in bug#54475, or
too early evaluation of subqueries can lead to wrong result
as it happened in Bug#19077.
Main problem is that if subquery items are treated as const
they are evaluated in ::fix_fields(), ::fix_length_and_dec()
of the parental items as a lot of these methods have
Item::val_...() calls inside.
We have to make subqueries non-const to prevent unnecessary
subquery evaluation. At the moment we have different methods
for this. Here is a list of these modes:

1. PREPARE stmt;
We use UNCACHEABLE_PREPARE flag.
It is set during parsing in sql_parse.cc, mysql_new_select() for
each SELECT_LEX object and cleared at the end of PREPARE in
sql_prepare.cc, init_stmt_after_parse(). If this flag is set
subquery becomes non-const and evaluation does not happen.

2. CREATE|ALTER VIEW, SHOW CREATE VIEW, I_S tables which
   process FRM files
We use LEX::view_prepare_mode field. We set it before
view preparation and check this flag in
::fix_fields(), ::fix_length_and_dec().
Some bugs are fixed using this approach,
some are not(Bug#57352, Bug#57703). The problem here is
that we have a lot of ::fix_fields(), ::fix_length_and_dec()
where we use Item::val_...() calls for const items.

3. Derived tables with subquery = wrong result(Bug19077)
The reason of this bug is too early subquery evaluation.
It was fixed by adding Item::with_subselect field
The check of this field in appropriate places prevents
const item evaluation if the item have subquery.
The fix for Bug19077 fixes only the problem with
convert_constant_item() function and does not cover
other places(::fix_fields(), ::fix_length_and_dec() again)
where subqueries could be evaluated.

Example:

4. Derived tables with subquery where subquery
   is evaluated before table locking(Bug#54475, Bug#52157)

Suggested solution is following:

-Introduce new field LEX::context_analysis_only with the following
 possible flags:
 #define CONTEXT_ANALYSIS_ONLY_PREPARE 1
 #define CONTEXT_ANALYSIS_ONLY_VIEW    2
 #define CONTEXT_ANALYSIS_ONLY_DERIVED 4
-Set/clean these flags when we perform
 context analysis operation
-Item_subselect::const_item() returns
 result depending on LEX::context_analysis_only.
 If context_analysis_only is set then we return
 FALSE that means that subquery is non-const.
 As all subquery types are wrapped by Item_subselect
 it allow as to make subquery non-const when
 it's necessary.
