Fix contains of :
- splitting CC/CXX if there are more that 2 space-delimited tokens, add the rest to CFLAGS
(in this case CC was set to "ccache gcc --pipe", and this broke recognition of gcc compiler
as CMake understands CC consisting of 2 space delimited tokens but not more)
- add my_new.cc to mysys fle list if C++ operator new is not found. Always, not only
for gcc (the original problem was that missing operator new when compiling with CXX=gcc)

CMakeLists.txt files cleanup
- remove SAFEMALLOC and SAFE_MUTEX definitions that were
present in *each* CMakeLists.txt. Instead, put them into top level
CMakeLists.txt, but disable on Windows, because
a) SAFEMALLOC does not add any functionality that is not already
present in Debug C runtime ( and 2 safe malloc one on top of the other
only unnecessarily slows down the server)
b)SAFE_MUTEX does not work on Windows and have been
explicitely disabled on Windows with #undef previously. Fortunately,
ntdll does pretty good job identifying l problems with
CRITICAL_SECTIONs.
DebugBreak()s on using uninited critical section, unlocking unowned
critical section)
-Also, remove occationally used -D_DEBUG (added by compiler
anyway)
Bug#24509 - 2048 file descriptor limit on windows needs increasing, also
WL#3049 - improved Windows I/O
The patch replaces the use of the POSIX I/O interfaces in mysys on Windows with
the Win32 API calls (CreateFile, WriteFile, etc). The Windows HANDLE for the open
file is stored in the my_file_info struct, along with a flag for append mode
because the Windows API does not support opening files in append mode in all cases)
The default max open files has been increased to 16384 and can be increased further
by setting --max-open-files=<value> during the server start.
Another major change in this patch that almost all Windows specific file IO code
has been moved to a new file my_winfile.c, greatly reducing the amount of code
in #ifdef blocks within mysys, thus improving readability.
Minor enhancements:
- my_(f)stat() is changed to use __stati64 structure with 64 file size
and timestamps. It will return correct file size now (C runtime implementation
used to report outdated information)
- my_lock on Windows is prepared to handle additional timeout parameter
- after review : changed __WIN__ to _WIN32 in the new and changed code.
The problem was that when a embedded linked version of mysqltest
crashed there was no way to obtain a stack trace if no core file
is available. Another problem is that the embedded version of
libmysql was not behaving (crash) the same as the non-embedded with
respect to sending commands to a explicitly closed connection.
The solution is to generate a mysqltest's stack trace on crash
and to enable "reconnect" if the connection handle was explicitly
closed so the behavior matches the non-embedded one.
A user could not override system-wide settings in their ~/.my.cnf,
because the DEFAULT_SYSCONFDIR was being searched last. Also, in
some configurations (especially when the --sysconfdir compile-time
option is set to /etc or /etc/mysql), the system-wide my.cnf file
was read multiple times, causing confusion and potential problems.
Rearrange default directories to conform to the manual and logic.
Move --sysconfdir=<path> (DEFAULT_SYSCONFDIR) from the last default
directory to the middle of the list. $HOME/.my.cnf should be last,
so the user is able to override the system-wide settings.
Change init_default_directories() to remove duplicates from the
list.
Additional changes for bug#29903
- Changed to do embedded build part as normal build, when
WITH_EMBEDDED_SERVER is set.
- Allow both normal and debug build with embedded.
- Build static embedded library by pointing out all source and compile
it all, i.e. not building libraries from libraries, not portable.
- Let embedded use generated files from the "sql" directory, added
dependencies to make sure built before embedded.
- Mark library "dbug" in TARGET_LINK_LIBRARIES() with "debug", so only
linked in when debug target is used.
- Removed change of target name with "mysqld${MYSQLD_EXE_SUFFIX}", as
others can't depend on it, not defined at configure time. Instead
set the output file name.
- Created work around for bug in CMake 2.4.6 and output names, to
set the "mysqld<suffix>.pdb" name to the same base name.
- Set the correct manifest "name" (patch by iggy)
Aligned client library build and use with the Unix version when it
comes to what source to include directly in the builds, and what
libraries to link with (bug#30118).
Also reviewed, corrected and made more clear when static or dynamic
Thread Local Storage is to be used. Some code duplication was removed,
and some redundant library usage were removed, reducing the risk of
incorrect TLS usage.
They had been introduced in 5.1 and were only later backported to 5.0;
as a consequence, the files in the 5.1 tree do not depend on the 5.0 ones,
and changes in 5.0 do not propagate into the 5.1 files.
To fix this, the (previous) files in 5.1 now are deleted ("bk rm"),
and the previously deleted files depending on 5.0 are now moved to the
respective source directories ("bk mv").
The current 5.1 contents is restored in these files.
If you need the previous history of the 5.1 files ("bk revtool"),
access those in "BitKeeper/deleted".
Contrary to the original plan, I did not introduce the name
"CMakeLists.historic" - mostly in order not to clutter the source tree.
This fixes bug#29982.
