Those two may work incorrectly together. Namely, ASAN may produce
false positives or false negatives. For details see

Make SECURITY_HARDENED disabled by default if WITH_ASAN=ON

- Add new submodule for WolfSSL
- Build and use wolfssl and wolfcrypt instead of yassl/taocrypt
- Use HAVE_WOLFSSL instead of HAVE_YASSL
- Increase MY_AES_CTX_SIZE, to avoid compile time asserts in my_crypt.cc
(sizeof(EVP_CIPHER_CTX) is larger on WolfSSL)
With MAX_INDEXIES=64(default), key_map=Bitmap<64> is just a wrapper around
ulonglong and thus "trivial" (can be bzero-ed, or memcpy-ed, and stays
valid still)
With MAX_INDEXES=128, key_map = Bitmap<128> is not a "trivial" type
anymore. The implementation uses MY_BITMAP, and MY_BITMAP contains pointers
which make Bitmap invalid, when it is memcpy-ed/bzero-ed.
The problem in 10.4 is that there are many new key_map members, inside TABLE
or KEY, and those are often memcopied and bzeroed
The fix makes Bitmap "trivial", by inlining most of MY_BITMAP functionality.
pointers/heap allocations are not used anymore.
GitHub uses a library called Licensee to identify a project's license
type. It shows this information in the status bar and via the API if it
can unambiguously identify the license.
This commit modifies a few of MariaDB's docs so that Licensee is able
to recognize the repository's license type. It renames the README's
"License" section to "Licensing" and renames COPYING.thirdparty to
THIRDPARTY.
These changes allow Licensee to bypass both files when it
scans the repo for license files, which thus allows Licensee to
successfully identify the license type of MariaDB as GPL 2.0.

automatic BuildRequires for source RPM: for every FILEPATH and
"Have library XXX" cached variable, detect what rpm package it comes from
and add it to the list of dependencies.
That is, the source RPM will BuildRequire all those packages that
were found by cmake when the source RPM was built. Presumably, our
CMakeLists.txt won't check for libraries that aren't needed for a build.
It supports libraries/executables/files found with
FIND_LIBRARY
FIND_FILE
FIND_PROGRAM
CHECK_LIBRARY_EXISTS
Disable LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE suport by default and
auto-enable it for the duration of one query, if the query
string starts with the word "load". In all other cases the application
should enable LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE support explicitly.
main.derived_cond_pushdown: Move all 10.3 tests to the end,
trim trailing white space, and add an "End of 10.3 tests" marker.
Add --sorted_result to tests where the ordering is not deterministic.
main.win_percentile: Add --sorted_result to tests where the
ordering is no longer deterministic.
Don't install server files if WITHOUT_SERVER is specified.
"Server files" are defined as files going into the MariaDB-Server RPM,
that is files in the components Server, ManPagesServer, Server_Scripts,
IniFiles, SuportFiles, and Readme.
Returned accidentally removed undefinition of MYSQL_SERVER in net_serv.cc inside embedded server
(embedded server uses real_net_read/write only as a client)
Prevented attempt to clean up embedded server if it was not initialized
This reverts commit d39629f01e.
Because running mtr for many hours with no output whatsoever
is not really what we should do.
And in 5.5 `make test` just works anyway, nothing to fix here.
Assign all tests added via MY_ADD_TEST to a bogus default_ignore target,
so that they are not ran by default when doing bare make test. Add default
test named MTR that calls mysql-test-run suite, which is now the single
test run by make test.
In consequence, modified unit/suite.pm to exclude the MTR test and run the
real ctests flagged for default_ignore target, thus no circular
loop.
Make mariadb crc32 lib platform independent
It looks strange that someone can make use of 2 crc libraries
(Power64 or AArch64) at the same time.
The patch sets macros 'CRC32_LIBRARY' to make platform independence as an optional crc32 library.

It changes the cmake WITH_NUMA option to have 3 values
Auto:- If libnuma present compile with numa (Default value)
OFF:- Compile without libnuma
On:- Compile with numa , throw error if libnuma not present

This is a separate feature, unrelated to system versioning
We may keep it or not, but either way, it's a separate discussion,
if we keep it, it won't be in the system versioning branch
Added version_source_revision server "variable", for the git revision.
Also , mysql -V will show git revision.
"make dist" will now pack source_revision.h into the source package.
- the probably ultimate fix for dependencies on VS
- remove some GET_TARGET_PROPERTY(LOCATION ...), they are deprecated in
cmake 3.9
- simplify signing targets on Windows.
- remove INSTALL_DEBUG_TARGET, we do not mix binaries from different builds
in the same package
If compiling a non DBUG binary with
-DDBUG_ASSERT_AS_PRINTF asserts will be
changed to printf + stack trace (of stack
trace are enabled).
- Changed #ifndef DBUG_OFF to
#ifdef DBUG_ASSERT_EXISTS
for those DBUG_OFF that was just used to enable
assert
- Assert checking that could greatly impact
performance where changed to DBUG_ASSERT_SLOW which
is not affected by DBUG_ASSERT_AS_PRINTF
- Added one extra option to my_print_stacktrace() to
get more silent in case of stack trace printing as
part of assert.
CMakeLists.txt - merge mistake, apparently
include/CMakeLists.txt - install from CMAKE_CURRENT_BINARY_DIR.
Only install from CMAKE_CURRENT_SOURCE_DIR, if it's different
from CMAKE_CURRENT_BINARY_DIR
mysql-test/CMakeLists.txt - INSTALL_MYSQL_TEST() macro installs
everything, no need to install mtr separately once again
mysql-test/lib/My/SafeProcess/CMakeLists.txt
MYSQL_ADD_EXECUTABLE includes INSTALL
sql-bench/CMakeLists.txt
list files explicitly. don't install garbage, don't process 'foo'
and 'foo.sh' separately, it's only one file to install, not two.
Backport to 5.5
Current MySQL builds, even on Pushbuild, are not reproducible; they return
different results depending on which directory they are built from (and
Pushbuild uses several different directories). This is because absolute paths
leak into debug information, and even worse, __FILE__. The latter moves code
around enough that we've actually seen sysbench changes on the order of 4% in
some tests.
CMake seemingly insists on using absolute paths, but we can insert our own
layer between CMake and GCC to relativize all paths. Also give the right flags
to get debug information reproducible and turn off build stamping. This makes
the mysqld build 100% bit-for-bit reproducible between runs on my machine,
even when run from different directories.
* moved vers_notify_vtq() to commit phase;
* low_level insert (load test passed);
* rest of SYS_VTQ columns filled: COMMIT_TS, CONCURR_TRX;
* savepoints support;
* I_S.INNODB_SYS_VTQ adjustments:
- limit to I_S_SYS_VTQ_LIMIT(10000) of most recent records;
- CONCURR_TRX limit to I_S_MAX_CONCURR_TRX(100) with '...' truncation marker;
- TIMESTAMP fields show fractions of seconds.
Also, implement MDEV-11027 a little differently from 5.5 and 10.0:
recv_apply_hashed_log_recs(): Change the return type back to void
(DB_SUCCESS was always returned).
Report progress also via systemd using sd_notifyf().
It's too plainful to require <my_config.h> to be included first
for third-party storage engines. And anyway, some source files
might not include <my_config.h> at all, so there is no guarantee
that all parts of the binary will see identical definitions of system
structures (e.g. struct stat).
Define _FILE_OFFSET_BITS on the compiler's command line instead.
mariadb_connector_c fetches all submodules in the tre.
Invoke it betfore the CONFIGURE_PLUGINS().
This is generally useful, as one can imagine many plugins have
submodules.
for the default installation.
It is now defined as "C:/Program Files/MariaDB ${MYSQL_BASE_VERSION}"
which is where installer indeed puts it by default.
It still does not cover every case -32bit installer on 64 bit Windows would put installation
root under "C:/Program Files (x86)", but better than the path used
previously C:/MariaDB${MYSQL_BASE_VERSION}, which was never correct.
No -DHAVE_LIBNUMA=1 was passed to the source compile (and the
global include/my_config.h wasn't used).
This also is Linux only so corrected the cmake macro.
Fixed indenting in cmake macro.
Removed NUMA defination from include/my_config.h as its only
in the storage engine.

The control file contents must be correct from the start and cannot
be modified at build time by CMake. Also all static Debian package
analyzers will fail to see all manipulations by CMake later on.
It is best to do all manipulations like these in autobake-deb.sh.
For Debian the rules file is the main makefile and assuming that a upstream
makefile will mangle the Debian packaging files creates false alerts
from static analysis tools and other problems.
Code was already existing within the innobase/xtradb storage engines
however without this cmake code it was never enabled.
