The test restarts the server and expects that the feedback plugin
will send a report on shutdown, and will write about it in the error
log. But the server is only given 10 sec to shut down properly,
which is not always enough.
Added a parameter to restart_mysqld.inc, and set it to a bigger
value in feedback_plugin_send
- If run with valgrind, mysqltest will now wait longer when syncronizing slave with master
- Ensure that we wait with cleanup() until slave thread has stopped.
- Added signal_thd_deleted() to signal close_connections() that all THD's has been freed.
- Check in handle_fatal_signal() that we don't use variables that has been freed.
- Increased some timeouts when run with --valgrind
Other things:
- Fixed wrong test in one_thread_per_connection_end() if galera is used.
- Removed not needed calls to THD_CHECK_SENTRY() when we are calling 'delete thd'.
Note, the patch for MDEV-8661 unintentionally fixed MDEV-8694 as well,
as a side effect. Adding a real clear fix: implementing
Item_func_like::propagate_equal_fields() with comments.
MDEV-7649 wrong result when comparing utf8 column with an invalid literal
This is a preparatory patch for:
MDEV-8433 Make field<'broken-string' use indexes
* add a test when server certificate is verified successfully
* one test with two combinations (instead of two tests)
* verbose tets: make it print what it is doing
* fix the test to work with yassl and no-ssl builds
Add some suppressions that were missing. They are for if a STOP SLAVE is
executed early during IO thread startup, when it is negotiating with the
master. The master connection may be killed in the middle of a
mysql_real_query(), which is not a test failure if it is a network error.
This also caught one real code error, fixed with this commit: The I/O thread
would fail to automatically reconnect if a network error happened while
fetching the value of @@GLOBAL.gtid_domain_id.
* no --encryption-algorithm option anymore
* encrypt/decrypt methods in the encryption plugin
* ecnrypt/decrypt methods in the encryption_km service
* file_km plugin has --file-key-management-encryption-algorithm
* debug_km always uses aes_cbc
* example_km changes between aes_cbc and aes_ecb for different key versions
* my_aes.h doesn't compile without my_global.h
* typo in a comment
* redundant condition
* if encryption plugin fails, there's no encryption_key_manager
at plugin deinit time
* encryption plugin tests must run when plugin.so is present,
not when a plugin is active (otherwise the test will be skipped
when plugin fails to initialize).
Two problems:
- Read/Write outside of buffer at memcpy() because of incorrect parameters
. OPENSSL_assert(EVP_CIPHER_CTX_iv_length(&ctx.ctx) == iv_length); // ECB does not use IV, thus incorrect assertion
Added:
mysql-test/include/encryption_algorithms.combinations to run tests with methods cbc, ecb and ctr in
those systems where they are available (see suite.pm).
Extend show_slave_status.inc to run SHOW ALL SLAVES STATUS and
SHOW SLAVE 'name' STATUS on demand, and make the test use
the include file instead of direct SHOW statements
Adjust the configuration options, as discussed on the
maria-developers@ mailing list.
The option to hint a transaction to not be replicated in parallel is
now called @@skip_parallel_replication, consistent with
@@skip_replication.
And the --slave-parallel-mode is now simplified to have just one of
the following values:
none
minimal
conservative
optimistic
aggressive
This reflects successively harder efforts to find opportunities to run
things in parallel on the slave. It allows to extend the server with
more automatic heuristics in the future without having to introduce a
new configuration option for each and every one.
Implement a new mode for parallel replication. In this mode, all transactions
are optimistically attempted applied in parallel. In case of conflicts, the
offending transaction is rolled back and retried later non-parallel.
This is an early-release patch to facilitate testing, more changes to user
interface / options will be expected. The new mode is not enabled by default.
Simply disallowing equality propagation into LIKE.
A more delicate fix is be possible, but it would need too many changes,
which is not desirable in 10.0 at this point.
ALTER TABLE: don't fill default values per row, do it once.
And do it in two places - for copy_data_between_tables() and for online ALTER.
Also, run function_defaults test both for MyISAM and for InnoDB.
reset default fields not for every modified row, but only once,
at the beginning, as the set of modified fields doesn't change.
exception: INSERT ... ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE - the set of fields
does change per row and in that case we reset default fields per row.

message:
BUG#13627921 - MISSING FLAGS IN SQL_COMMAND_FLAGS MAY LEAD TO REPLICATION PROBLEMS
Flags in sql_command_flags[command] are not correctly set for the following
commands:
. SQLCOM_SET_OPTION is missing CF_CAN_GENERATE_ROW_EVENTS;
. SQLCOM_BINLOG_BASE64_EVENT is missing CF_CAN_GENERATE_ROW_EVENTS;
. SQLCOM_REVOKE_ALL is missing CF_CHANGES_DATA;
. SQLCOM_CREATE_FUNCTION is missing CF_AUTO_COMMIT_TRANS;
This may lead to a wrong sequence of events in the binary log. To fix
the problem, we correctly set the flags in sql_command_flags[command].
have 0x5C as the second byte in a multi-byte character.
- Adding big5 tests covering an unassigned character 0xC840
being stored into char/varchar/text/enum columns.
in the SQL parser.
Various backslash escapes and quote-quote escaped sequences are covered
in combination with single and multi-byte characters.
This is especially important for the character sets that can have 0x5C
as the second byte in a multi-byte character (big5, cp932, gbk, sjis).
swe7 is also a special character set, because in swe7 0x5C is used for
both escape character and for "LATIN CAPITAL LETTER O WITH DIAERESIS".
Merged lp:maria/maria-10.0-galera up to revision 3879.
Added a new functions to handler API to forcefully abort_transaction,
producing fake_trx_id, get_checkpoint and set_checkpoint for XA. These
were added for future possiblity to add more storage engines that
could use galera replication.

A donor node does a flush tables and then tries to
freeze innodb writes before proceeding with SST.
However, innodb_disallow_writes was missing in xtradb.
Merged 'InnodbFreeze' patch from maria-5.5-galera's to
xtradb. Also, merged some changes missing in innobase's
os0file.cc.
Added a basic test case for innodb_disallow_writes system
variable.
4229: MDEV-5670: Assertion failure in file buf0lru.c line 2355
Add more status information if repeatable.
4230: MDEV-5673: Crash while parallel dropping multiple tables under heavy load
Improve long semaphore wait output to include all semaphore waits
and try to find out if there is a sequence of waiters.
4233: Fix compiler errors on product build.
4237: Fix too agressive long semaphore wait output and add guard against introducing
compression failures on insert buffer.
4238: Fix test failure caused by simulated compression failure on
IBUF_DUMMY table.
These tests use search_pattern_in_file.inc to search the error log for
expected output. However, search_pattern_in_file.inc by default searched only
the first 50000 bytes, so if the error log grew too big the tests would fail.
This patch extends search_pattern_in_file.inc with an option to specify how
much of the file to search, and whether to search from the start of the file
or from the end. Then the rpl.rpl_checksum and rpl.rpl_gtid_errorlog test
cases are fixed to search the last 50000 bytes of the error log, which will
work no matter how large prior tests have made it.
This patch allows up to 64K pages for tables with DYNAMIC, COMPACT
and REDUNDANT row types. Tables with COMPRESSED row type allows
still only <= 16K page size. Note that single row size must be
still <= 16K and max key length is not affected.
Decoupled wsrep thread count from connection count. By doing so,
the number of wsrep threads (applier/rollbacker) would no longer
affect the threads_connected status variable and thus maximum
allowable user connections limit would be @@max_connections.
Also introduced a new status variable 'wsrep_thread_count' to hold
the number of wsrep applier/rollbacker threads.
Added a test case.
Problem: Uninstallation of semi sync plugin causes replication to
break.
Analysis: A semisync enabled replication is mutual agreement between
Master and Slave when the connection (I/O thread) is established.
Once I/O thread is started and if semisync is enabled on both
master and slave, master appends special magic header to events
using semisync plugin functions and sends it to slave. And slave
expects that each event will have that special magic header format
and reads those bytes using semisync plugin functions.
When semi sync replication is in use if users execute
uninstallation of the plugin on master, slave gets confused while
interpreting that event's content because it expects special
magic header at the beginning of the event. Slave SQL thread will
be stopped with "Missing magic number in the header" error.
Similar problem will happen if uninstallation of the plugin happens
on slave when semi sync replication is in in use. Master sends
the events with magic header and slave does not know about the
added magic header and thinks that it received a corrupted event.
Hence slave SQL thread stops with "Found corrupted event" error.
Fix: Uninstallation of semisync plugin will be blocked when semisync
replication is in use and will throw 'ER_UNKNOWN_ERROR' error.
To detect that semisync replication is in use, this patch uses
semisync status variable values.
> On Master, it checks for 'Rpl_semi_sync_master_status' to be OFF
before allowing the uninstallation of rpl_semi_sync_master plugin.
>> Rpl_semi_sync_master_status is OFF when
>>> there is no dump thread running
>>> there are no semisync slaves
> On Slave, it checks for 'Rpl_semi_sync_slave_status' to be OFF
before allowing the uninstallation of rpl_semi_sync_slave plugin.
>> Rpl_semi_sync_slave_status is OFF when
>>> there is no I/O thread running
>>> replication is asynchronous replication.

MDEV-4984: Implement MASTER_GTID_WAIT() and @@LAST_GTID.
MDEV-4726: Race in mysql-test/suite/rpl/t/rpl_gtid_stop_start.test
MDEV-5636: Deadlock in RESET MASTER
Some GTID test cases were using include/wait_condition.inc with a
condition like SELECT COUNT(*)=4 FROM t1 to wait for the slave to
catch up with the master. This causes races and test failures, as the
changes to the tables become visible at the COMMIT of the SQL thread
(or even before in case of MyISAM), but the changes to
@@gtid_slave_pos only become visible a little bit after the COMMIT.
Now that we have MASTER_GTID_WAIT(), just use that to sync up in a
GTID-friendly way, wrapped in nice include/save_master_gtid.inc and
include/sync_with_master_gtid.inc scripts.
MASTER_GTID_WAIT() is similar to MASTER_POS_WAIT(), but works with a
GTID position rather than an old-style filename/offset.
@@LAST_GTID gives the GTID assigned to the last transaction written
into the binlog.
Together, the two can be used by applications to obtain the GTID of
an update on the master, and then do a MASTER_GTID_WAIT() for that
position on any read slave where it is important to get results that
are caught up with the master at least to the point of the update.
The implementation of MASTER_GTID_WAIT() is implemented in a way
that tries to minimise the performance impact on the SQL threads,
even in the presense of many waiters on single GTID positions (as
from @@LAST_GTID).

Downgrade locks in LOCK TABLES + CREATE TABLE OR REPLACE
Syntax. Server support. Test cases.
InnoDB bugfixes:
* don't mess around with system sprintf's, always use my_error() for errors.
* don't use InnoDB internal error codes where OS error codes are expected.
* don't say "file not found", when it was.
Using CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE is be identical to
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS table_name;
CREATE TABLE ...;
Except that:
* CREATE OR REPLACE is be atomic (now one can create the same table between drop and create).
* Temporary tables will not shadow the table name for the DROP as the CREATE TABLE tells us already if we are using a temporary table or not.
* If the table was locked with LOCK TABLES, the new table will be locked with the same lock after it's created.
Implementation details:
- We don't anymore open the to-be-created table during CREATE TABLE, which the original code did.
- There is no need to open a table we are planning to create. It's enough to check if the table exists or not.
- Removed some of duplicated code for CREATE IF NOT EXISTS.
- Give an error when using CREATE OR REPLACE with IF NOT EXISTS (conflicting options).
- As a side effect of the code changes, we don't anymore have to internally re-prepare prepared statements with CREATE TABLE if the table exists.
- Made one code path for all testing if log table are in use.
- Better error message if one tries to create/drop/alter a log table in use
- Added back disabled rpl_row_create_table test as it now seams to work and includes a lot of interesting tests.
- Added HA_LEX_CREATE_REPLACE to mark if we are using CREATE OR REPLACE
- Aligned CREATE OR REPLACE parsing code in sql_yacc.yy for TABLE and VIEW
- Changed interface for drop_temporary_table() to make it more reusable
- Changed Locked_tables_list::init_locked_tables() to work on the table object instead of the table list object. Before this it used a mix of both, which was not good.
- Locked_tables_list::unlock_locked_tables(THD *thd) now requires a valid thd argument. Old usage of calling this with 0 i changed to instead call Locked_tables_list::reset()
- Added functions Locked_tables_list:restore_lock() and Locked_tables_list::add_back_last_deleted_lock() to be able to easily add back a locked table to the lock list.
- Added restart_trans_for_tables() to be able to restart a transaction.
- DROP_ACL is required if one uses CREATE TABLE OR REPLACE.
- Added drop of normal and temporary tables in create_table_imp() if CREATE OR REPLACE was used.
- Added reacquiring of table locks in mysql_create_table() and mysql_create_like_table()

Changed interface for drop_temporary_table() to make it more reusable
Changed Locked_tables_list::init_locked_tables() to work on the table object instead of the table list object. Before this it used a mix of both, which was not good.
Locked_tables_list::unlock_locked_tables(THD *thd) now requires a valid thd argument. Old usage of calling this with 0 i changed to instead call Locked_tables_list::reset()
Added functions Locked_tables_list:restore_lock() and Locked_tables_list::add_back_last_deleted_lock() to be able to easily add back a locked table to the lock list.
Check for command number instead of open_strategy of CREATE TABLE was used.
Added restart_trans_for_tables() to be able to restart a transaction. This was needed in "create or replace ... select" between the drop table and the select.

Ensure that we have open_strategy set as TABLE_LIST::OPEN_STUB in CREATE TABLE
Removed some IF NOT EXISTS code as this is now handled in create_table_table_impl().
Set OPTION_KEEP_LOGS later. This code had to be moved as the test for IF EXISTS has changed place.
DROP_ACL is required if one uses CREATE TABLE OR REPLACE.

- !is_temporary_table(table) test was moved out from drop_temporary_table() and merged with upper level code.
- Added drop of normal and temporary tables in create_table_imp() if CREATE OR REPLACE was used.
- Added reacquiring of table locks in mysql_create_table() and mysql_create_like_table()
- In mysql_create_like_table(), restore table->open_strategy() if it was changed.
- Re-test if table was a view after opening it.

Applied a patch from Philip Hazel implementing the non-standard

Problem:-
We have created a table with UTF8_BIN collation.
In case, when in our query we have ORDER BY clause over a function
call we are getting result in incorrect order.
Note:the bug is not there in 5.5.
Analysis:
In 5.5, for UTF16_BIN, we have min and max multi-byte length is 2 and 4
respectively.In make_sortkey(),for 2 byte character character we are
assuming that the resultant length will be 2 byte/character. But when we
use my_strnxfrm_unicode_full_bin(), we store sorting weights using 3 bytes
per character.This result in truncated result.
Same thing happen for UTF8MB4, where we have 1 byte min multi-byte and
4 byte max multi-byte.We will accsume resultant data as 1 byte/character,
which result in truncated result.
Solution:-
use strnxfrm(means use of MY_CS_STRNXFRM macro) is used for sort, in
which the resultant length is not dependent on source length.
"
A maximum size of 10 Mb works in 5.1 because the initial
required size of ibdata1 was less than 10M. But in 5.5, a
change was made to allocate all 128 rollback segments at
bootstrap. Since then, the initial size has been 10M + the
default autoextend size of 8M.
In 5.6, worklog 6216 changes the autoextend size from 8M to
64M. This changes the initial size of ibdata1 from 18M in
5.5 and earlier releases of 5.6 to 74M in the current
mysql-5.6 and mysql-trunk. So this change is especially
needed in 5.6.
"
12M is enough to avoid autoextending during bootstrap
extend table names discovery (ha_discover_table_names() and Discovered_table_list) to return
or optionally filter out temporary tables ("#sql..."). SHOW commands and I_S tables
typically want temp table filtered out, while DROP DATABASE wants to see them too.
additonally, remove the supression for the warning "Invalid (old?) table or database name"
from mtr, and add it to .test files as needed (we need to test that this warning
does *not* happen in drop.test)
