b07beff894 MDEV-15326: InnoDB: Failing assertion: !other_lock
MySQL 5.7.9 (and MariaDB 10.2.2) introduced a race condition
between InnoDB transaction commit and the conversion of implicit
locks into explicit ones.

The assertion failure can be triggered with a test that runs
3 concurrent single-statement transactions in a loop on a simple
table:

CREATE TABLE t (a INT PRIMARY KEY) ENGINE=InnoDB;
thread1: INSERT INTO t SET a=1;
thread2: DELETE FROM t;
thread3: SELECT * FROM t FOR UPDATE; -- or DELETE FROM t;

The failure scenarios are like the following:
(1) The INSERT statement is being committed, waiting for lock_sys->mutex.
(2) At the time of the failure, both the DELETE and SELECT transactions
are active but have not logged any changes yet.
(3) The transaction where the !other_lock assertion fails started
lock_rec_convert_impl_to_expl().
(4) After this point, the commit of the INSERT removed the transaction from
trx_sys->rw_trx_set, in trx_erase_lists().
(5) The other transaction consulted trx_sys->rw_trx_set and determined
that there is no implicit lock. Hence, it grabbed the lock.
(6) The !other_lock assertion fails in lock_rec_add_to_queue()
for the lock_rec_convert_impl_to_expl(), because the lock was 'stolen'.
This assertion failure looks genuine, because the INSERT transaction
is still active (trx->state=TRX_STATE_ACTIVE).

The problematic step (4) was introduced in
mysql/mysql-server@e27e0e0bb7
which fixed something related to MVCC (covered by the test
innodb.innodb-read-view). Basically, it reintroduced an error
that had been mentioned in an earlier commit
mysql/mysql-server@a17be6963f:
"The active transaction was removed from trx_sys->rw_trx_set prematurely."

Our fix goes along the following lines:

(a) Implicit locks will released by assigning
trx->state=TRX_STATE_COMMITTED_IN_MEMORY as the first step.
This transition will no longer be protected by lock_sys_t::mutex,
only by trx->mutex. This idea is by Sergey Vojtovich.
(b) We detach the transaction from trx_sys before starting to release
explicit locks.
(c) All callers of trx_rw_is_active() and trx_rw_is_active_low() must
recheck trx->state after acquiring trx->mutex.
(d) Before releasing any explicit locks, we will ensure that any activity
by other threads to convert implicit locks into explicit will have ceased,
by checking !trx_is_referenced(trx). There was a glitch
in this check when it was part of lock_trx_release_locks(); at the end
we would release trx->mutex and acquire lock_sys->mutex and trx->mutex,
and fail to recheck (trx_is_referenced() is protected by trx_t::mutex).
(e) Explicit locks can be released in batches (LOCK_RELEASE_INTERVAL=1000)
just like we did before.

trx_t::state: Document that the transition to COMMITTED is only
protected by trx_t::mutex, no longer by lock_sys_t::mutex.

trx_rw_is_active_low(), trx_rw_is_active(): Document that the transaction
state should be rechecked after acquiring trx_t::mutex.

trx_t::commit_state(): New function to change a transaction to committed
state, to release implicit locks.

trx_t::release_locks(): New function to release the explicit locks
after commit_state().

lock_trx_release_locks(): Move much of the logic to the caller
(which must invoke trx_t::commit_state() and trx_t::release_locks()
as needed), and assert that the transaction will have locks.

trx_get_trx_by_xid(): Make the parameter a pointer to const.

lock_rec_other_trx_holds_expl(): Recheck trx->state after acquiring
trx->mutex, and avoid a redundant lookup of the transaction.

lock_rec_queue_validate(): Recheck impl_trx->state while holding
impl_trx->mutex.

row_vers_impl_x_locked(), row_vers_impl_x_locked_low():
Document that the transaction state must be rechecked after
trx_mutex_enter().

trx_free_prepared(): Adjust for the changes to lock_trx_release_locks().

fa490e8022 Don't copy uninitialized bytes when copying varstrings
When using field_conv(), which is called in case of field1=field2 copy in
fill_records(), full varstring's was copied, including unitialized bytes.
This caused valgrind to compilain about usage of unitialized bytes when
using Aria static length records.
Fixed by not using memcpy when copying varstrings but instead just copy
the real bytes.

a82e42fd13 NFC: refactor Field::is_equal() and related stuff
Make Field::is_equal() const and return bool as it's a naturally fitting
type for it. Also it's agrument was narrowed to Column_definition.

InnoDB can change type of some columns by itself. InnoDB-specific code used to
reside in Field_xxx:is_equal() methods. Now engine-specific stuff was
moved to a virtual methods of handler::can_convert{string,varstring,blob,geom}.
These methods are called by Field::can_be_converted_by_engine() which is a
double dispatch pattern.

Some InnoDB-specific code still resides in compare_keys_but_name(). It should
be moved from here someday to handler::compare_key_parts(...) or similar.

IS_EQUAL_WITH_REINTERPRET_COMPATIBLE_CHARSET
IS_EQUAL_WITH_REINTERPRET_COMPATIBLE_CHARSET_BUT_COLLATE: both was removed

IS_EQUAL_NO, IS_EQUAL_YES are not needed now and should be removed
along with deprecated handler::check_if_incompatible_data().

HA_EXTENDED_TYPES_CONVERSION: was removed as such logic is not needed now by
server code.

043a3a0176 Avoid not needed renames in ALTER TABLE
Removed not needed table renames when doing ALTER TABLE when engine
changes and both of the following is true:
- Either new or old engine does not store the table in files
- Neither old or new engine uses files from another engine

We also skip renames when ALTER TABLE does an explicit rename

This improves performance, especially for engines where rename is
a slow operation (like the upcoming S3 engine)

007f68c37f Replace ha_notify_table_changed() with notify_tabledef_changed()
Reason for the change was that ha_notify_table_changed() was done
after table open when .frm had been replaced, which caused failure
in engines that checks on open if .frm matches the engines table
definition.

Other changes:
- Remove not needed open/close call at end of inline alter table.
  Some test that depended on the table beeing in the table cache after
  ALTER TABLE had to be updated.

43bbf88dcb MDEV-19158: MariaDB 10.2.22 is writing duplicate entries into binary log
Problem:
========
We have a Master/Master Setup on two servers, but are only writing to one of
those servers (so it is essentially Master/Slave) We upgraded from 10.1.* to
10.2.22 last week and starting with the upgrade, we are getting duplicate key
errors on the slave. BINLOG=mixed.

Analysis:
=========
This issue happens with LOCK TABLES and binlog_format=MIXED combination. When an
UNSAFE statement is encountered in 'MIXED' mode, it is logged in the form of
'ROW' format. For all the tables that are part of LOCK TABLES list their table maps
are written into the binary log. For each table in the list a check is
done to see if 'check_table_binlog_row_based_done' flag is set or not. If it is not set
a check process is initiated to see if table qualifies for row based binary
logging or not and 'check_table_binlog_row_based_done' is set. This flag will be
cleared at the time of closing thread tables.

But there can be special cases where the LOCK TABLES contains more number of
tables but the unsafe query is actually using subset of tables from LOCK TABLES
list.

For example: LOCK TABLES locks t1,t2,t3 but the unsafe statement makes use of
only two tables t1,t3. In this case the 'check_table_binlog_row_based_done' flag
is enabled for table 't2' while writing table map, but 'close_thread_tables'
function call will not reset this flag. Since the flag is not cleared for table
't2' even a safe statement which used t2 will be logged in the form of row based
format.

This leads to an assert on debug builds and causes duplicate entries in release
builds. In release builds a statement is logged in the form of both ROW and
STATEMENT format. This causes the slave to fail with duplicate key error.

Fix:
===
During 'close_thread_tables' when LOCK TABLE modes are active "ha_reset" is done
for all the tables which were part of current statement. As mentioned in the
example 'ha_reset' is called for tables 't1' and 't3'. This will clear the
'check_table_binlog_row_based_done' flag. At this point add a check for the rest
of the tables to see if 'check_table_binlog_row_based_done' is enabled or not.
If enabled clear the flag.

1cd31bc132 Bug#28573894 ALTER PARTITIONED TABLE ADD AUTO_INCREMENT DIFF RESULT DEPENDING ON ALGORITHM
For partitioned table, ensure that the AUTO_INCREMENT values will
be assigned from the same sequence. This is based on the following
change in MySQL 5.6.44:

commit aaba359c13d9200747a609730dafafc3b63cd4d6
Author: Rahul Malik <rahul.m.malik@oracle.com>
Date:   Mon Feb 4 13:31:41 2019 +0530

    Bug#28573894 ALTER PARTITIONED TABLE ADD AUTO_INCREMENT DIFF RESULT DEPENDING ON ALGORITHM

    Problem:
    When a partition table is in-place altered to add an auto-increment column,
    then its values are starting over for each partition.

    Analysis:
    In the case of in-place alter, InnoDB is creating a new sequence object
    for each partition. It is default initialized. So auto-increment columns
    start over for each partition.

    Fix:
    Assign old sequence of the partition to the sequence of next partition
    so it won't start over.

e6230e844c MDEV-15951 system versioning by trx id doesn't work with partitioning
Fix partitioning for trx_id-versioned tables.
`partition by hash`, `range` and others now work.
`partition by system_time` is forbidden.
Currently we cannot use row_start and row_end in `partition by`, because
insertion of versioned field is done by engine's handler, as well as
row_start/row_end's value set up, which is a transaction id -- so it's
also forbidden.

The drawback is that it's now impossible to use `partition by key()`
without parameters for such tables, because it references row_start and
row_end implicitly.

* add handler::vers_can_native()
* drop Table_scope_and_contents_source_st::vers_native()
* drop partition_element::find_engine_flag as unused
* forbid versioning partitioning for trx_id as not supported
* adopt vers tests for trx_id partitioning
* forbid any row_end referencing in `partition by` clauses,
  including implicit `by key()`

d00f19e832 MDEV-371 Unique Index for long columns
This patch implements engine independent unique hash index.

Usage:- Unique HASH index can be created automatically for blob/varchar/test column whose key
 length > handler->max_key_length()
or it can be explicitly specified.

  Automatic Creation:-
   Create TABLE t1 (a blob unique);
  Explicit Creation:-
   Create TABLE t1 (a int , unique(a) using HASH);

Internal KEY_PART Representations:-
 Long unique key_info will have 2 representations.
 (lets understand this with an example create table t1(a blob, b blob , unique(a, b)); )

 1. User Given Representation:- key_info->key_part array will be similar to what user has defined.
 So in case of example it will have 2 key_parts (a, b)

 2. Storage Engine Representation:- In this case there will be only one key_part and it will point to
 HASH_FIELD. This key_part will be always after user defined key_parts.

 So:- User Given Representation          [a] [b] [hash_key_part]
                  key_info->key_part ----^
  Storage Engine Representation          [a] [b] [hash_key_part]
                  key_info->key_part ------------^

 Table->s->key_info will have User Given Representation, While table->key_info will have Storage Engine
 Representation.Representation can be changed into each other by calling re/setup_keyinfo_hash function.

Working:-

1. So when user specifies HASH_INDEX or key_length is > handler->max_key_length(), In mysql_prepare_create_table
One extra vfield is added (for each long unique key). And key_info->algorithm is set to HA_KEY_ALG_LONG_HASH.

2. In init_from_binary_frm_image values for hash_keypart is set (like fieldnr , field and flags)

3. In parse_vcol_defs, HASH_FIELD->vcol_info is created. Item_func_hash is used with list of Item_fields,
   When Explicit length is given by user then Item_left is used to concatenate Item_field values.

4. In ha_write_row/ha_update_row check_duplicate_long_entry_key is called which will create the hash key from
table->record[0] and then call ha_index_read_map , if we found duplicated hash , we will compare the result
field by field.

2c74799d64 MDEV-18627 Wrong result after instant size change of integer
If we instantly change the size of a fixed-length field
and treat it as kind-of variable-length, then we will need
conversions between old column values and new ones.

I tried adding such a conversion to row_build(), but then I
noticed that more conversions would be needed, because
old values still appeared in a freshly rebuilt secondary index,
causing a mismatch when trying to search with the correct
longer value that was converted in my provisional fix to row_build().

So, we will revert the essential part of
MDEV-15563: Instant ROW_FORMAT=REDUNDANT column extension
(commit 22feb179ae), but not
remove any tests.

ea0be9e2d6 MDEV-15564 Avoid table rebuild in ALTER TABLE on collation or charset changes
Allow ALGORITHM=INSTANT (or avoid touching any data)
when changing the collation, or in some cases, the character set,
of a non-indexed CHAR or VARCHAR column. There is no penalty
for subsequent DDL or DML operations, and compatibility with
older MariaDB versions will be unaffected.

Character sets may be changed when the old encoding is compatible
with the new one. For example, changing from ASCII to anything
ASCII-based, or from 3-byte to 4-byte UTF-8 can sometimes be
performed instantly.

This is joint work with Eugene Kosov.
The test cases as well as ALTER_CONVERT_TO, charsets_are_compatible(),
Type_handler::Charsets_are_compatible() are his work.
The Field_str::is_equal(), Field_varstring::is_equal() and
the InnoDB changes were mostly rewritten by me due to conflicts
with MDEV-15563.

Limitations:

Changes of indexed columns will still require
ALGORITHM=COPY. We should allow ALGORITHM=NOCOPY and allow
the indexes to be rebuilt inside the storage engine,
without copying the entire table.

Instant column size changes (in bytes) are not supported by
all storage engines.

Instant CHAR column changes are only allowed for InnoDB
ROW_FORMAT=REDUNDANT. We could allow this for InnoDB
when the CHAR internally uses a variable-length encoding,
say, when converting from 3-byte UTF-8 to 4-byte UTF-8.

Instant VARCHAR column changes are allowed for InnoDB
ROW_FORMAT=REDUNDANT, and for others only if the size
in bytes does not change from 128..255 bytes to more
than 256 bytes.

Inside InnoDB, this slightly changes the way how MDEV-15563
works and fixes the result of the innodb.instant_alter_extend test.
We change the way how ALTER_COLUMN_EQUAL_PACK_LENGTH_EXT
is handled. All column extension, type changes and renaming
now go through a common route, except when ctx->is_instant()
is in effect, for example, instant ADD or DROP COLUMN has
been initiated. Only in that case we will go through
innobase_instant_try() and rewrite all column metadata.

get_type(field, prtype, mtype, len): Convert a SQL data type into
InnoDB column metadata.

innobase_rename_column_try(): Remove the update of SYS_COLUMNS.

innobase_rename_or_enlarge_column_try(): New function,
replacing part of innobase_rename_column_try() and all of
innobase_enlarge_column_try(). Also changes column types.

innobase_rename_or_enlarge_columns_cache(): Also change
the column type.

22feb179ae MDEV-15563: Instant ROW_FORMAT=REDUNDANT column extension
This was developed by Aleksey Midenkov based on my design.

In the original InnoDB storage format (that was retroactively named
ROW_FORMAT=REDUNDANT in MySQL 5.0.3), the length of each index field
is stored explicitly.

Because of this, we can and now will allow instant conversion from
VARCHAR to CHAR or VARBINARY to BINARY of equal or greater size,
as well as instant conversion of TINYINT to SMALLINT to MEDIUMINT
to INT to BIGINT (while not changing between signed and unsigned).

Theoretically, we could allow changing from an unsigned integer to
a bigger unsigned integer, as well as changing CHAR to VARCHAR, but
that would require additional metadata and conversions whenever
reading old records.

Field_str::is_equal(), Field_varstring::is_equal(), Field_num::is_equal():
Return the new result IS_EQUAL_PACK_LENGTH_EXT if the table advertises
HA_EXTENDED_TYPES_CONVERSION capability and we are considering the
above-mentioned conversions.

ALTER_COLUMN_EQUAL_PACK_LENGTH_EXT: A new ALTER TABLE flag, similar
to ALTER_COLUMN_EQUAL_PACK_LENGTH but requiring conversions when
reading the data. The Field::is_equal() result IS_EQUAL_PACK_LENGTH_EXT
will map to this flag.

dtype_get_fixed_size_low(): For BINARY, CHAR and integer columns
in ROW_FORMAT=REDUNDANT, return 0 (variable length) from now on.

dtype_get_sql_null_size(): Keep returning the current size for
BINARY, CHAR and integer columns, so that in ROW_FORMAT=REDUNDANT
it will remain possible to update in place between NULL and NOT NULL
values.

btr_index_rec_validate(): Relax a CHECK TABLE length check for
ROW_FORMAT=REDUNDANT tables.

btr_cur_instant_init_low(): No longer trust fixed_len
for ROW_FORMAT=REDUNDANT tables.

We cannot rely on fixed_len anymore because the record can have shorter
length from before instant extension. Note that importing such tablespace
into earlier MariaDB versions produces ER_TABLE_SCHEMA_MISMATCH when
using a .cfg file.

0ae3ea7919 MDEV-15563: Instant VARCHAR extension for ROW_FORMAT=REDUNDANT
In the original InnoDB storage format (which was retroactively named
ROW_FORMAT=REDUNDANT in MySQL 5.0.3), the length of each index field
is stored explicitly. Thus, we can and from now on will allow arbitrary
extension of VARBINARY and VARCHAR columns when the table is in
ROW_FORMAT=REDUNDANT.

ha_innobase::open(): Advertise a new HA_EXTENDED_TYPES_CONVERSION
capability for ROW_FORMAT=REDUNDANT tables.

Field_varstring::is_equal(): If the HA_EXTENDED_TYPES_CONVERSION
capability is advertised for the table, return IS_EQUAL_PACK_LENGTH
for any length extension.

be8709eb7b MDEV-6111 Optimizer Trace
This task involves the implementation for the optimizer trace.

This feature produces a trace for any SELECT/UPDATE/DELETE/,
which contains information about decisions taken by the optimizer during
the optimization phase (choice of table access method, various costs,
transformations, etc). This feature would help to tell why some decisions were
taken by the optimizer and why some were rejected.

Trace is session-local, controlled by the @@optimizer_trace variable.
To enable optimizer trace we need to write:
   set @@optimizer_trace variable= 'enabled=on';

To display the trace one can run:
   SELECT trace FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.OPTIMIZER_TRACE;

This task also involves:
    MDEV-18489: Limit the memory used by the optimizer trace
    introduces a switch optimizer_trace_max_mem_size which limits
    the memory used by the optimizer trace. This was implemented by

658128af43 MDEV-16188 Use in-memory PK filters built from range index scans
This patch contains a full implementation of the optimization
that allows to use in-memory rowid / primary filters built for range
conditions over indexes. In many cases usage of such filters reduce
the number of disk seeks spent for fetching table rows.

In this implementation the choice of what possible filter to be applied
(if any) is made purely on cost-based considerations.

This implementation re-achitectured the partial implementation of
the feature pushed by Galina Shalygina in the commit
8d5a11122c.

Besides this patch contains a better implementation of the generic
handler function handler::multi_range_read_info_const() that
takes into account gaps between ranges when calculating the cost of
range index scans. It also contains some corrections of the
implementation of the handler function records_in_range() for MyISAM.

This patch supports the feature for InnoDB and MyISAM.

Analysis:
========
Increasing the length of the indexed varchar column is not an instant operation for
innodb.

Fix:
===
- Introduce the new handler flag 'Alter_inplace_info::ALTER_COLUMN_INDEX_LENGTH' to
indicate the index length differs due to change of column length changes.

- InnoDB makes the ALTER_COLUMN_INDEX_LENGTH flag as instant operation.

This is a port of Mysql fix.

d6d63f4844 MDEV-16421 Make system tables crash safe
Make all system tables in mysql directory of type
engine=Aria

Privilege tables are using transactional=1
Statistical tables are using transactional=0, to allow them
to be quickly updated with low overhead.
Help tables are also using transactional=0 as these are only
updated at init time.

Other changes:
- Aria store engine is now a required engine
- Update comment for Aria tables to reflect their new usage
- Fixed that _ma_reset_trn_for_table() removes unlocked table
  from transaction table list. This was needed to allow one
  to lock and unlock system tables separately from other
  tables, for example when reading a procedure from mysql.proc
- Don't give a warning when using transactional=1 for engines
  that is using transactions. This is both logical and also
  to avoid warnings/errors when doing an alter of a privilege
  table to InnoDB.
- Don't abort on warnings from ALTER TABLE for changes that
  would be accepted by CREATE TABLE.
- New created Aria transactional tables are marked as not movable
  (as they include create_rename_lsn).
- bootstrap.test was changed to kill orignal server, as one
  can't anymore have two servers started at same time on same
  data directory and data files.
- Disable maria.small_blocksize as one can't anymore change
  aria block size after system tables are created.
- Speed up creation of help tables by using lock tables.
- wsrep_sst_resync now also copies Aria redo logs.

d6594847cf MDEV-16246: insert timestamp into spider table from mysqldump gets wrong time zone.
The problem occurred because the Spider node was incorrectly handling
timestamp values sent to and received from the data nodes.

The problem has been corrected as follows:
- Added logic to set and maintain the UTC time zone on the data nodes.
  To prevent timestamp ambiguity, it is necessary for the data nodes to use
  a time zone such as UTC which does not have daylight savings time.
- Removed the spider_sync_time_zone configuration variable, which did not
  solve the problem and which interfered with the solution.
- Added logic to convert to the UTC time zone all timestamp values sent to
  and received from the data nodes. This is done for both unique and
  non-unique timestamp columns. It is done for WHERE clauses, applying to
  SELECT, UPDATE and DELETE statements, and for UPDATE columns.
- Disabled Spider's use of direct update when any of the columns to update is
  a timestamp column. This is necessary to prevent false duplicate key value
  errors.
- Added a new test spider.timestamp to thoroughly test Spider's handling of
  timestamp values.

682e7b8ff4 MDEV-16334 Incorrect ALTER TABLE for changing column option
commit 2dbeebdb16 accidentally changed
ALTER_COLUMN_OPTION and ALTER_COLUMN_STORAGE_TYPE to be separate flags.
InnoDB and Mroonga are only checking for the latter;
the example storage engine is checking for the former only.

The impact of this bug should be incorrect operation of Mroonga when
the column options GROONGA_TYPE, FLAGS are changed.

InnoDB does not define any column options, only table options,
so the flag ALTER_COLUMN_OPTION should never have been set.

Also, remove the unused flag ALTER_DROP_HISTORICAL.

- DROP CHECK CONSTRAINT can now be done online
- Added checks for Aria tables in alter_table_online.test
- alter_table_flags now takes an ulonglong as argument.
- Don't support online operations if checksum option is used.

c3f37c070c Fixed alter online table for Aria tables
fill_alter_table() always thought that index was changed because of
of a wrong check of block_size. Some engines had code to correct this
that should not be needed, Aria didn't and because of this some online
operations didn't work.

This code fixes the comparision of block_size to only compare if it's set.

54db0be3be Added Max_index_length and Temporary to SHOW TABLE STATUS
- Max_index_length is supported by MyISAM and Aria tables.
- Temporary is a placeholder to signal that a table is a

  "Y" for generated information_schema tables and NULL for
  views. Full temporary table support will be done in another task.
  (No reason to have to update a lot of result files twice in a row)

a7e352b54d Changed database, tablename and alias to be LEX_CSTRING
This was done in, among other things:
- thd->db and thd->db_length
- TABLE_LIST tablename, db, alias and schema_name
- Audit plugin database name
- lex->db
- All db and table names in Alter_table_ctx
- st_select_lex db

Other things:
- Changed a lot of functions to take const LEX_CSTRING* as argument
  for db, table_name and alias. See init_one_table() as an example.
- Changed some function arguments from LEX_CSTRING to const LEX_CSTRING
- Changed some lists from LEX_STRING to LEX_CSTRING
- threads_mysql.result changed because process list_db wasn't always
  correctly updated
- New append_identifier() function that takes LEX_CSTRING* as arguments
- Added new element tmp_buff to Alter_table_ctx to separate temp name
  handling from temporary space
- Ensure we store the length after my_casedn_str() of table/db names
- Removed not used version of rename_table_in_stat_tables()
- Changed Natural_join_column::table_name and db_name() to never return
  NULL (used for print)
- thd->get_db() now returns db as a printable string (thd->db.str or "")

Do not generate fake values when adding an auto-inc column to a versioned

a not nullalble unique column to a table with history. We don't support
it yet, not even with a special auto-inc hack. As a workaround, one
can use a nullable unique column, that works.

Contains Spiral patches:
006_mariadb-10.2.0.direct_update_rows.diff      MDEV-7704
008_mariadb-10.2.0.partition_direct_update.diff MDEV-7706

061_mariadb-10.2.0.mariadb-10.1.8.diff          MDEV-12870

- The differences compared to the original patches:
  - Most of the parameters of the new functions are unnecessary. The
    unnecessary parameters have been removed.
  - Changed bit positions for new handler flags upon consideration of
    handler flags not needed by other Spiral patches and handler flags
    merged from MySQL.
  - Added info_push() (Was originally part of bulk access patch)
  - Didn't include code related to handler socket
  - Added HA_CAN_DIRECT_UPDATE_AND_DELETE

f26e14e2d8 Adding option to tell that cmp_ref handler call is expensive
- In Spider, calling cmp_ref() can be very expensive. In ha_partition.cc
  we don't anymore sort rows according to position for the Spider
  engine.
- Removed Spider specific call info(HA_EXTRA_STARTING_ORDERED_INDEX_SCAN)
  from handle_ordered_index_scan(). It's caused performance issues and
  does not change results for queries with ORDER BY.
- The visible effect of this patch is that for some storage engines,
  rows may be returned in a different order if there is no ORDER BY clause.

- Based in Spiral Patch 052:
  052_mariadb-10.2.0.add_partition_skip_pk_sort_for_non_clustered_index
  MDEV-7748
- The major difference from original patch is that there is no variable to
  get the old behaviour.

Other things:
- Optimized ha_partition::cmp_ref() and cmp_part_ids() to make them
  simpler and faster.
- Changed arguments to cmp_key_part_id() to be same as
  cmp_key_rowid_part_id to simplify code.

- Added the new #defines for the feature in spd_environ.h instead of in
  handler.h because these #defines are needed by Spider and are not needed
  by the server.
- Cleaned up code related to the removed variable m_need_info_for_auto_inc

- Added a test case.
- Added test result changes resulting from a bug that was fixed by these

96f06f952d MDEV-13847 Allow ALTER TABLE…ADD SPATIAL INDEX…ALGORITHM=INPLACE
MDEV-13851 Always check table options in ALTER TABLE…ALGORITHM=INPLACE

In the merge of MySQL 5.7.9 to MariaDB 10.2.2, some code was included
that prevents ADD SPATIAL INDEX from being executed with ALGORITHM=INPLACE.

Also, the constant ADD_SPATIAL_INDEX was introduced as an alias
to ADD_INDEX. We will remove that alias now, and properly implement
the same ADD SPATIAL INDEX restrictions as MySQL 5.7 does:

1. table-rebuilding operations are not allowed if SPATIAL INDEX survive it
2. ALTER TABLE…ADD SPATIAL INDEX…LOCK=NONE is not allowed

ha_innobase::prepare_inplace_alter_table(): If the ALTER TABLE
requires actions within InnoDB, enforce the table options (MDEV-13851).
In this way, we will keep denying ADD SPATIAL INDEX for tables
that use encryption (MDEV-11974), even if ALGORITHM=INPLACE is used.

tables can also be created and dropped inside a BEGIN...END transaction, and
such transactions were not marked as ddl. Nor was the DROP TEMPORARY TABLE
statement emitted implicitly when a client connection is closed.

So this patch adds such ddl mark for the missing cases.

The difference to Kristian's original patch is mainly a fix in
mysql_trans_commit_alter_copy_data() to remember the unsafe_rollback_flags
over the temporary commit.

able to do unversioned updates for versioned tables just by disabling
`TABLE_SHARE::versioned` flag.

SQL: DDL tracking for:

e5980bf1b1 Remove the unnecessary method handlerton::release_temporary_latches()
The sole purpose of handlerton::release_temporary_latches and its wrapper
function was to release the InnoDB adaptive hash index latch
(btr_search_latch).

When the btr_search_latch was split into an array of latches
in MySQL 5.7.8 as part of the Oracle Bug#20985298 fix, the "caching"
of the latch across storage engine API calls was removed. As part of that,
the function trx_search_latch_release_if_reserved() was changed to an
assertion and the function trx_reserve_search_latch_if_not_reserved()
was removed, and handlerton::release_temporary_latches() practically
became a no-op.

Note: MDEV-12121 replaced the function
trx_search_latch_release_if_reserved()
with the more appropriately named macro trx_assert_no_search_latch().
