WL#8354 BACKPORT DIGEST IMPROVEMENTS TO MYSQL 5.6
(with the following commits) and related changes in sql/
Bug#17959689: MAKE GCC AND CLANG GIVE CONSISTENT COMPILATION WARNINGS
Bug#18313717: ENABLE -WERROR IN MAINTANER MODE WHEN COMPILING WITH CLANG
Bug#18510941: REMOVE CMAKE WORKAROUNDS FOR OLDER VERSIONS OF OS X/XCODE
Backport from mysql-5.6 to mysql-5.5
- Table locks now ends with state "After table lock"
- Open table now ends with state "After opening tables"
- All calls to close_thread_tables(), not only from mysql_execute_command(), has state "closing tables"
- Added state "executing" for mysql admin commands, like CACHE INDEX, REPAIR TABLE etc.
- Added state "Finding key cache" for CACHE INDEX
- Added state "Filling schema table" when we generate temporary table for SHOW commands and information schema.
Other things:
Add limit from innobase for thread_sleep_delay. This fixed a failing tests case.
Added db.opt to support-files to make 'make package' work
mysql-test/suite/funcs_1/datadict/processlist_val.inc:
Use new state
mysql-test/suite/funcs_1/r/processlist_priv_no_prot.result:
Updated test result because of new state
mysql-test/suite/funcs_1/r/processlist_val_no_prot.result:
Updated test result because of new state
sql/CMakeLists.txt:
Have option files in support-files
sql/lock.cc:
Added new state 'After table lock'
sql/sql_admin.cc:
Added state "executing" and "Sending data" for mysql admin commands, like CACHE INDEX, REPAIR TABLE etc.
Added state "Finding key cache"
sql/sql_base.cc:
open tables now ends with state "After table lock", instead of NULL
sql/sql_parse.cc:
Moved state "closing tables" to close_thread_tables()
sql/sql_show.cc:
Added state "Filling schema table" when we generate temporary table for SHOW commands and information schema.
storage/xtradb/buf/buf0buf.c:
Removed compiler warning
storage/xtradb/handler/ha_innodb.cc:
Add limit from innobase for thread_sleep_delay. This fixed a failing tests case.
support-files/db.opt:
cmakes needs this to create data/test directory
The merge is still missing a few hunks related to temporary tables and
InnoDB log file size. The associated code did not seem to exist in
10.0, so the merge of that needs more work. Until this is fixed, there
are a number of test failures as a result.
Adding ${CMAKE_BINARY_DIR}/pcre into search path for *.h files.
Needed for find pcre.h (which is generated from pcre.h.in) when
build directory != source directory.
cmake/jemalloc.cmake:
for dependencies to work, LIBJEMALLOC should be the target name, not the path
storage/tokudb/CMakeLists.txt:
* check the preconditions
* disable bdb tests (compilation errors)
* set variable, instead of SET_PROPERTY. same effect,
but doesn't fail when a plugin is disabled (that is, a target does not exist)
storage/tokudb/ft-index/CMakeLists.txt:
cmake should not look into examples/ directory,
there is hand-crafted examples/Makefile that
cmake will overwrite
storage/tokudb/ft-index/buildheader/CMakeLists.txt:
the syntax is ADD_EXECUTABLE(target source) and "source" is the file name
storage/tokudb/ft-index/cmake_modules/TokuMergeLibs.cmake:
Libraries must be specified in the specific order,
REMOVE_DUPLICATES cannot be used, because it destroys this order.
(when OSLIBS contains "-lpthread -ljemalloc -lpthread", REMOVE_DUPLICATES
makes it "-lpthread -ljemalloc". But a thread library *must* be *after* jemalloc)
storage/tokudb/ft-index/cmake_modules/TokuSetupCTest.cmake:
* 'which' might print errors to stderr, they are not important, shut them up
* we don't have TOKUDB_DATA, no need to warn about it
* don't configure_file into itself (with input=output)
storage/tokudb/ft-index/cmake_modules/TokuThirdParty.cmake:
jemalloc is built externally to tokudb/ft-index
storage/tokudb/ft-index/ft/CMakeLists.txt:
the syntax is ADD_EXECUTABLE(target source) and "source" is the file name
storage/tokudb/ft-index/ft/tests/CMakeLists.txt:
the syntax is ADD_EXECUTABLE(target source) and "source" is the file name
storage/tokudb/ft-index/locktree/tests/CMakeLists.txt:
the syntax is ADD_EXECUTABLE(target source) and "source" is the file name
storage/tokudb/ft-index/portability/CMakeLists.txt:
s/jemalloc/libjemalloc/
storage/tokudb/ft-index/portability/os_malloc.cc:
unnecessary include file
storage/tokudb/ft-index/portability/tests/CMakeLists.txt:
the syntax is ADD_EXECUTABLE(target source) and "source" is the file name
storage/tokudb/ft-index/src/tests/CMakeLists.txt:
the syntax is ADD_EXECUTABLE(target source) and "source" is the file name
storage/tokudb/ft-index/util/tests/CMakeLists.txt:
the syntax is ADD_EXECUTABLE(target source) and "source" is the file name
storage/tokudb/ft-index/utils/CMakeLists.txt:
the syntax is ADD_EXECUTABLE(target source) and "source" is the file name
Following variables do not require LOCK_open protection anymore:
- table_def_cache (renamed to tdc_hash) is protected by rw-lock
LOCK_tdc_hash;
- table_def_shutdown_in_progress doesn't need LOCK_open protection;
- last_table_id use atomics;
- TABLE_SHARE::ref_count (renamed to TABLE_SHARE::tdc.ref_count)
is protected by TABLE_SHARE::tdc.LOCK_table_share;
- TABLE_SHARE::next, ::prev (renamed to tdc.next and tdc.prev),
oldest_unused_share, end_of_unused_share are protected by
LOCK_unused_shares;
- TABLE_SHARE::m_flush_tickets (renamed to tdc.m_flush_tickets)
is protected by TABLE_SHARE::tdc.LOCK_table_share;
- refresh_version (renamed to tdc_version) use atomics.
includes:
* remove some remnants of "Bug#14521864: MYSQL 5.1 TO 5.5 BUGS PARTITIONING"
* introduce LOCK_share, now LOCK_ha_data is strictly for engines
* rea_create_table() always creates .par file (even in "frm-only" mode)
* fix a 5.6 bug, temp file leak on dummy ALTER TABLE
- Introduce "Query Plan Footprints" (abbrev. QPFs)
QPF is a part of query plan that is
1. sufficient to produce EXPLAIN output,
2. can be used to produce EXPLAIN output even after its subquery/union
was executed and deleted
3. is cheap to save so that we can always save query plans
- This patch doesn't fully address #2, we make/save strings for
a number of EXPLAIN's columns. This will be fixed.
Merge of 10.0-mdev26 feature tree into 10.0-base.
Global transaction ID is prepended to each event group in the binlog.
Slave connect can request to start from GTID position instead of specifying
file name/offset of master binlog. This facilitates easy switch to a new
master.
Slave GTID state is stored in a table mysql.rpl_slave_state, which can be
InnoDB to get crash-safe slave state.
GTID includes a replication domain ID, allowing to keep track of distinct
positions for each of multiple masters.
