999a73ace5 Fix for BUG#14920 Ordering aggregated result sets corrupts resultset.
The cause of the bug was the use of end_write_group instead of end_write
in the case when ORDER BY required a temporary table, which didn't take
into account the fact that loose index scan already computes the result
of MIN/MAX aggregate functions (and performs grouping).

The solution is to call end_write instead of end_write_group and to add
the MIN/MAX functions to the list of regular functions so that their
values are inserted into the temporary table.

e42c980967 Table definition cache, part 2
The table opening process now works the following way:
- Create common TABLE_SHARE object
- Read the .frm file and unpack it into the TABLE_SHARE object
- Create a TABLE object based on the information in the TABLE_SHARE
object and open a handler to the table object

Other noteworthy changes:
- In TABLE_SHARE the most common strings are now LEX_STRING's
- Better error message when table is not found
- Variable table_cache is now renamed 'table_open_cache'
- New variable 'table_definition_cache' that is the number of table defintions that will be cached
- strxnmov() calls are now fixed to avoid overflows
- strxnmov() will now always add one end \0 to result
- engine objects are now created with a TABLE_SHARE object instead of a TABLE object.
- After creating a field object one must call field->init(table) before using it

- For a busy system this change will give you:
 - Less memory usage for table object
 - Faster opening of tables (if it's has been in use or is in table definition cache)
 - Allow you to cache many table definitions objects
 - Faster drop of table

2bcd68973b Fix for BUG#13549 "Server crash with nested stored procedures
if inner routine has more local variables than outer one, and
one of its last variables was used as argument to NOT operator".

THD::spcont was non-0 when we were parsing stored routine/trigger
definition during execution of another stored routine. This confused
methods of Item_splocal and forced them use wrong runtime context.
Fix ensures that we always have THD::spcont equal to zero during
routine/trigger body parsing. This also allows to avoid problems
with errors which occur during parsing and SQL exception handlers.

574e711209 Fix for bug #13825 "Triggers: crash if release savepoint" and for general
handling of savepoints in stored routines.

Fixed ha_rollback_to_savepoint()/ha_savepoint()/ha_release_savepoint()
functions to properly handle savepoints inside of stored functions and
triggers.
Also now when we invoke stored function or trigger we create new savepoint
level. We destroy it at the end of function/trigger execution and return back
to old savepoint level.

a3ddcdf8fb Rename:
- current_arena to stmt_arena: the thread may have more than one
'current' arenas: one for runtime data, and one for the parsed
tree of a statement. Only one of them is active at any moment.
- set_item_arena -> set_query_arena, because Item_arena was renamed to
Query_arena a while ago
- set_n_backup_item_arena -> set_n_backup_active_arena;
the active arena is the arena thd->mem_root and thd->free_list
are currently pointing at.
- restore_backup_item_arena -> restore_active_arena (with the same
rationale)
- change_arena_if_needed -> activate_stmt_arena_if_needed; this
method sets thd->stmt_arena active if it's not done yet.

df32f7d621 Save and clear run context before executing a stored function or trigger and restore it afterwards.
This allows us to use statement replication with functions and triggers
The following things are fixed with this patch:
- NOW() and automatic timestamps takes the value from the main event for functions and triggers (which allows these to replicate with statement level logging)
- No side effects for triggers or functions with auto-increment values(), last_insert_id(), rand() or found_rows()
- Triggers can't return result sets

Fixes bugs:
#12480: NOW() is not constant in a trigger
#12481: Using NOW() in a stored function breaks statement based replication
#12482: Triggers has side effects with auto_increment values
#11587: trigger causes lost connection error

a247282aa6 Implementation of WL#2486 -
"Process NATURAL and USING joins according to SQL:2003".

* Some of the main problems fixed by the patch:
  - in "select *" queries the * expanded correctly according to
    ANSI for arbitrary natural/using joins
  - natural/using joins are correctly transformed into JOIN ... ON
for any number/nesting of the joins.
  - column references are correctly resolved against natural joins
of any nesting and combined with arbitrary other joins.

* This patch also contains a fix for name resolution of items
inside the ON condition of JOIN ... ON - in this case items must
be resolved only against the JOIN operands. To support such
'local' name resolution, the patch introduces a stack of
name resolution contexts used at parse time.

NOTICE:
- This patch is not complete in the sense that
  - there are 2 test cases that still do not pass -
one in join.test, one in select.test. Both are marked
    with a comment "TODO: WL#2486".
  - it does not include a new test specific for the task

615baa9f23 Fix for bug #10055 "Using stored function with information_schema causes empty
result set".

To enable full access to contents of I_S tables from stored functions
or statements that use them, we manipulate with thread's open tables
state and ensure that we won't cause deadlock when we open tables by
ignoring flushes and name-locks.
Building of contents of I_S.TABLES no longer requires locking of tables
since we use use handler::info() method with HA_STATUS_AUTO flag instead
of handler::update_auto_increment() for obtaining information about
auto-increment values. But this also means that handlers have to implement
support for HA_STATUS_AUTO flag (particularly InnoDB needs it).

The idea of the patch
is that every cursor gets its own lock id for table level locking.
Thus cursors are protected from updates performed within the same
connection. Additionally a list of transient (must be closed at
commit) cursors is maintained and all transient cursors are closed
when necessary. Lastly, this patch adds support for deadlock
timeouts to TLL locking when using cursors.
+ post-review fixes.

f334ea1fc6 Implementation of Monty's idea: Now we can open mysql.proc table for lookup
of stored routines definitions even if we already have some tables open and
locked. To avoid deadlocks in this case we have to put certain restrictions
on locking of mysql.proc table.

This allows to use stored routines safely under LOCK TABLES without explicitly
mentioning mysql.proc in the list of locked tables. It also fixes bug #11554
"Server crashes on statement indirectly using non-cached function".

4c4079430d - implement inheritance of sp_instr: public Query_arena.
We need every instruction to have its own arena, because we want to
track instruction's state (INITIALIZED_FOR_SP -> EXECUTED). Because of
`if' statements and other conditional instructions used in stored
procedures, not every instruction of a stored procedure gets executed
during the first (or even subsequent) execution of the procedure.
So it's better if we track the execution state of every instruction
  independently.
All instructions of a given procedure now also share sp_head's
mem_root, but keep their own free_list.
This simplifies juggling with free Item lists in sp_head::execute.
- free_items() moved to be a member of Query_arena.
- logic of 'backup_arena' debug member of Query_arena has been
  changed to support
multi-backups. Until now, TRUE 'backup_arena' meant that there is
exactly one active backup of the THD arena. Now it means simply that
the arena is used for backup, so that we can't accidentally overwrite an
existing backup. This allows doing multiple backups, e.g. in
sp_head::execute and Cursor::fetch, when THD arena is already backed up
but we want to set yet another arena (usually the 'permanent' arena,
to save permanent transformations/optimizations of a parsed tree).

270b695f59 Fix for bug #10015 "Crash in InnoDB if stored routines are used".
We should not allow explicit or implicit transaction commits inside
of stored functions or triggers (so in autocommit mode we should not
do commits after execution of sub-statement).
Also since we don't support nested statement transactions in 5.0,
we shouldn't commit or rollback stmt transactions while we are inside
stored functions or triggers. This should be fixed in later (>=5.1)
releases.

5a6c7027f0 Better approach for prelocking of tables for stored routines execution
and some SP-related cleanups.

- We don't have separate stage for calculation of list of tables
to be prelocked and doing implicit LOCK/UNLOCK any more.
Instead we calculate this list at open_tables() and do implicit
LOCK in lock_tables() (and UNLOCK in close_thread_tables()).
Also now we support cases when same table (with same alias) is
used several times in the same query in SP.

- Cleaned up execution of SP. Moved all common code which handles
LEX and does preparations before statement execution or complex
expression evaluation to auxilary sp_lex_keeper class. Now
all statements in SP (and corresponding instructions) that
evaluate expression which can contain subquery have their
  own LEX.
