it only worked if mroonga plugin wasn't installed before (normal case),
but then it didn't need to delete anything.
if, by some glitch, mroonga was already installed, it would delete
mroonga from mysql.plugin, but INSTALL would fail (as mroonga was running),
and the script aborted, leaving mroonga not in mysql.plugin at all.
The following variables are used in this project, but they are set to NOTFOUND.
LZ4_LIBS
The reason for the failure is that pkg_check_modules will not guarantee
<prefix>_LIBRARY_DIRS variable to be set, according to documentation.
When it's not set, we would force find_library to look in an empty path
and thus fail to correctly find LZ4_LIBS, although pck_check_modules
did previously discover that the library is installed.
To fix the problem and still keep the logic of first following
LIBLZ4_LIBRARY_DIRS and *then* look at other paths, we call find_library
twice. This is the recommended approach, according to CMake 3.11
documentation.
Main reason was to make it easier to print the above structures in
a debugger. Additional benefits is that I was able to use same
defines for both structures, which simplifes some code.
Most of the code is just removing Alter_info:: and Alter_inplace_info::
from alter table flags.
Following renames was done:
HA_ALTER_FLAGS -> alter_table_operations
CHANGE_CREATE_OPTION -> ALTER_CHANGE_CREATE_OPTION
Alter_info::ADD_INDEX -> ALTER_ADD_INDEX
DROP_INDEX -> ALTER_DROP_INDEX
ADD_UNIQUE_INDEX -> ALTER_ADD_UNIQUE_INDEX
DROP_UNIQUE_INDEx -> ALTER_DROP_UNIQUE_INDEX
ADD_PK_INDEX -> ALTER_ADD_PK_INDEX
DROP_PK_INDEX -> ALTER_DROP_PK_INDEX
Alter_info:ALTER_ADD_COLUMN -> ALTER_PARSE_ADD_COLUMN
Alter_info:ALTER_DROP_COLUMN -> ALTER_PARSE_DROP_COLUMN
Alter_inplace_info::ADD_INDEX -> ALTER_ADD_NON_UNIQUE_NON_PRIM_INDEX
Alter_inplace_info::DROP_INDEX -> ALTER_DROP_NON_UNIQUE_NON_PRIM_INDEX
Other things:
- Added typedef alter_table_operatons for alter table flags
- DROP CHECK CONSTRAINT can now be done online
- Added checks for Aria tables in alter_table_online.test
- alter_table_flags now takes an ulonglong as argument.
- Don't support online operations if checksum option is used.
- sql_lex.cc doesn't add ALTER_ADD_INDEX if index is not created
Refactor get_datetime_value() not to create Item_cache_temporal(),
but do it always in ::fix_fields() or ::fix_length_and_dec().
Creating items at the execution time doesn't work very well with
virtual columns and check constraints that are fixed and executed
in different THDs.
Disable the test encryption.innodb_encryption-page-compression
because the wait_condition would seem to time out deterministically.
MDEV-14814 has to be addressed in 10.2 separately.
Datafile::validate_first_page(): Do not invoke
page_size_t::page_size_t(flags) before validating the tablespace flags.
This avoids a crash in MDEV-15333 innodb.restart test case.
FIXME: Reduce the number of error messages. The first one is enough.
This will make it easier to how memory allocation is done when debugging
with either DBUG or gdb.
Will especially help when debugging stored procedures
Main change is a name argument as second argument to init_alloc_root()
init_sql_alloc()
Other things:
- Added DBUG_ENTER/EXIT to some Virtual_tmp_table functions
This was done in, among other things:
- thd->db and thd->db_length
- TABLE_LIST tablename, db, alias and schema_name
- Audit plugin database name
- lex->db
- All db and table names in Alter_table_ctx
- st_select_lex db
Other things:
- Changed a lot of functions to take const LEX_CSTRING* as argument
for db, table_name and alias. See init_one_table() as an example.
- Changed some function arguments from LEX_CSTRING to const LEX_CSTRING
- Changed some lists from LEX_STRING to LEX_CSTRING
- threads_mysql.result changed because process list_db wasn't always
correctly updated
- New append_identifier() function that takes LEX_CSTRING* as arguments
- Added new element tmp_buff to Alter_table_ctx to separate temp name
handling from temporary space
- Ensure we store the length after my_casedn_str() of table/db names
- Removed not used version of rename_table_in_stat_tables()
- Changed Natural_join_column::table_name and db_name() to never return
NULL (used for print)
- thd->get_db() now returns db as a printable string (thd->db.str or "")
MDEV-11415 Remove excessive undo logging during ALTER TABLE…ALGORITHM=COPY
Move a test from innodb.rename_table_debug to innodb.alter_copy.
ha_innobase::extra(HA_EXTRA_BEGIN_ALTER_COPY): Register id-versioned
tables so that mysql.transaction_registry will be updated, even for
empty tables that are subjected to ALTER TABLE…ALGORITHM=COPY.
If a crash occurs during ALTER TABLE…ALGORITHM=COPY, InnoDB would spend
a lot of time rolling back writes to the intermediate copy of the table.
To reduce the amount of busy work done, a work-around was introduced in
commit fd069e2bb3 in MySQL 4.1.8 and 5.0.2,
to commit the transaction after every 10,000 inserted rows.
A proper fix would have been to disable the undo logging altogether and
to simply drop the intermediate copy of the table on subsequent server
startup. This is what happens in MariaDB 10.3 with MDEV-14717,MDEV-14585.
In MariaDB 10.2, the intermediate copy of the table would be left behind
with a name starting with the string #sql.
This is a backport of a bug fix from MySQL 8.0.0 to MariaDB,
contributed by jixianliang <271365745@qq.com>.
Unlike recent MySQL, MariaDB supports ALTER IGNORE. For that operation
InnoDB must for now keep the undo logging enabled, so that the latest
row can be rolled back in case of an error.
In Galera cluster, the LOAD DATA statement will retain the existing
behaviour and commit the transaction after every 10,000 rows if
the parameter wsrep_load_data_splitting=ON is set. The logic to do
so (the wsrep_load_data_split() function and the call
handler::extra(HA_EXTRA_FAKE_START_STMT)) are joint work
by Ji Xianliang and Marko Mäkelä.
The original fix:

Bug#17479594 AVOID INTERMEDIATE COMMIT WHILE DOING ALTER TABLE ALGORITHM=COPY
Problem:
During ALTER TABLE, we commit and restart the transaction for every
10,000 rows, so that the rollback after recovery would not take so long.
Fix:
Suppress the undo logging during copy alter operation. If fts_index is
present then insert directly into fts auxiliary table rather
than doing at commit time.
ha_innobase::num_write_row: Remove the variable.
ha_innobase::write_row(): Remove the hack for committing every 10000 rows.
row_lock_table_for_mysql(): Remove the extra 2 parameters.
lock_get_src_table(), lock_is_table_exclusive(): Remove.

- Add needed defines in ha_spider.cc to enable new spider code
- Fixed some DBUG_PRINT() to be consistent with normal code
- Removed end space
- The changes in test cases partition_innodb, partition_range,
partition_pruning etc are becasue partitions can now more exactly
calculate the number of rows in a range.

1. remove erroneously committed *.orig
2. fix LZ4 detection on Mac OS X and FreeBSD. Cannot do
pkg_check_modules(LIBLZ4 liblz4)
find_library(LIBLZ4_LIBS ... )
because find_library(X) does not do anything if X is defined (documented),
and pkg_check_modules(Y) sets Y_LIBS to "" (undocumented!)
Storage engine independent support for column compression.
TINYBLOB, BLOB, MEDIUMBLOB, LONGBLOB, TINYTEXT, TEXT, MEDIUMTEXT, LONGTEXT,
VARCHAR and VARBINARY columns can be compressed.
New COMPRESSED column attribute added:
COMPRESSED[=<compression_method>]
System variables added:
column_compression_threshold
column_compression_zlib_level
column_compression_zlib_strategy
column_compression_zlib_wrap
Status variables added:
Column_compressions
Column_decompressions
Limitations:
- the only supported method currently is zlib
- CSV storage engine stores data uncompressed on-disk even if COMPRESSED
attribute is present
- it is not possible to create indexes over compressed columns.
If compiling a non DBUG binary with
-DDBUG_ASSERT_AS_PRINTF asserts will be
changed to printf + stack trace (of stack
trace are enabled).
- Changed #ifndef DBUG_OFF to
#ifdef DBUG_ASSERT_EXISTS
for those DBUG_OFF that was just used to enable
assert
- Assert checking that could greatly impact
performance where changed to DBUG_ASSERT_SLOW which
is not affected by DBUG_ASSERT_AS_PRINTF
- Added one extra option to my_print_stacktrace() to
get more silent in case of stack trace printing as
part of assert.
- Added sql/mariadb.h file that should be included first by files in sql
