97db6c15ea MDEV-20618 Assertion failed in row_upd_sec_index_entry
Add a proper error handling of innobase_get_computed_value results in
row_upd_store_row/row_upd_store_v_row.

Also add an assertion in row_vers_build_clust_v_col to fail during row
purge.
Add one more assertion in row_sel_sec_rec_is_for_clust_rec for possible
future catches.

62d73df6b2 MDEV-19232: Floating point precision / value comparison problem
The issue occurs when the subquery_cache is enabled.
When there is a cache miss the division was leading to a value with scale 9.
In the case of cache hit the value returned was of scale 9 and due to the different
values for the scales the where condition evaluated to FALSE, hence the output
was incomplete.

To fix this problem we need to round up the decimal to the limit mentioned in
Item::decimals. This would make sure the values are compared with the same
scale.

f1f14c2092 MDEV-20015 Assertion `!in_use->is_error()' failed in TABLE::update_virtual_field
update_virtual_field() is called as part of index rebuild in
ha_myisam::repair() (MDEV-5800) which is done on bulk INSERT finish.

Assertion in update_virtual_field() was put as part of MDEV-16222
because update_virtual_field() returns in_use->is_error(). The idea:
wrongly mixed semantics of error status before update_virtual_field()
and the status returned by update_virtual_field(). The former can
falsely influence the latter.

3df297271a MDEV-22579 No error when inserting DEFAULT(non_virtual_column) into a virtual column
The code erroneously allowed both:
INSERT INTO t1 (vcol) VALUES (DEFAULT);
INSERT INTO t1 (vcol) VALUES (DEFAULT(non_virtual_column));

The former is OK, but the latter is not.
Adding a new virtual method in Item:

virtual bool vcol_assignment_allowed_value() const { return false; }

Item_null, Item_param and Item_default_value override it.

Item_default_value overrides it in the way to:
- allow DEFAULT
- disallow DEFAULT(col)

ef00ac4c86 Part2: MDEV-18156 Assertion 0' failed or btr_validate_index(index, 0, false)' in row_upd_sec_index_entry or error code 126: Index is corrupted upon DELETE with PAD_CHAR_TO_FULL_LENGTH
This patch allows the server to open old tables that have
"bad" generated columns (i.e. indexed virtual generated columns,
persistent generated columns) that depend on sql_mode,
for general things like SELECT, INSERT, DROP, etc.
Warning are issued in such cases.

Only these commands are now disallowed and return an error:
- CREATE TABLE introducing a "bad" generated column
- ALTER TABLE introducing a "bad" generated column
- CREATE INDEX introdicing a "bad" generated column
  (i.e. adding an index on a virtual generated column
   that depends on sql_mode).

Note, these commands are allowed:
- ALTER TABLE removing a "bad" generate column
- ALTER TABLE removing an index from a "bad" virtual generated column
- DROP INDEX removing an index from a "bad" virtual generated column
but only if the table does not have any "bad" columns as a result.

dc719597ee MDEV-18156 Assertion 0' failed or btr_validate_index(index, 0, false)' in row_upd_sec_index_entry or error code 126: Index is corrupted upon DELETE with PAD_CHAR_TO_FULL_LENGTH
This change takes into account a column's GENERATED ALWAYS AS
expression dependcy on sql_mode's PAD_CHAR_TO_FULL_LENGTH and
NO_UNSIGNED_SUBTRACTION flags.

Indexed virtual columns as well as persistent generated columns are
now not allowed to have such dependencies to avoid inconsistent data
or index files on sql_mode changes.
So an error is now returned in cases like this:

  CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE t1
  (
    a CHAR(5),
    v VARCHAR(5) AS (a) PERSISTENT -- CHAR->VARCHAR or CHAR->TEXT = ERROR
  );

Functions RPAD() and RTRIM() can now remove dependency on
PAD_CHAR_TO_FULL_LENGTH. So this can be used instead:

  CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE t1
  (
    a CHAR(5),
    v VARCHAR(5) AS (RTRIM(a)) PERSISTENT
  );

Note, unlike CHAR->VARCHAR and CHAR->TEXT this still works,
not RPAD(a) is needed:

  CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE t1
  (
    a CHAR(5),
    v CHAR(5) AS (a) PERSISTENT -- CHAR->CHAR is OK
  );

More sql_mode flags may affect values of generated columns.
They will be addressed separately.

See comments in sql_mode.h for implementation details.

9cba6c5aa3 Updated mtr files to support different compiled in options
This allows one to run the test suite even if any of the following
options are changed:
- character-set-server
- collation-server
- join-cache-level
- log-basename
- max-allowed-packet
- optimizer-switch
- query-cache-size and query-cache-type
- skip-name-resolve
- table-definition-cache
- table-open-cache
- Some innodb options
etc

Changes:
- Don't print out the value of system variables as one can't depend on
  them to being constants.
- Don't set global variables to 'default' as the default may not
  be the same as the test was started with if there was an additional
  option file. Instead save original value and reset it at end of test.
- Test that depends on the latin1 character set should include
  default_charset.inc or set the character set to latin1
- Test that depends on the original optimizer switch, should include
  default_optimizer_switch.inc
- Test that depends on the value of a specific system variable should
  set it in the test (like optimizer_use_condition_selectivity)
- Split subselect3.test into subselect3.test and subselect3.inc to
  make it easier to set and reset system variables.
- Added .opt files for test that required specfic options that could
  be changed by external configuration files.
- Fixed result files in rockdsb & tokudb that had not been updated for
  a while.

a62e9a83c0 MDEV-15945 --ps-protocol does not test some queries
Make mysqltest to use --ps-protocol more

use prepared statements for everything that server supports
with the exception of CALL (for now).

Fix discovered test failures and bugs.

tests:
* PROCESSLIST shows Execute state, not Query
* SHOW STATUS increments status variables more than in text protocol
* multi-statements should be avoided (see tests with a wrong delimiter)
* performance_schema events have different names in --ps-protocol
* --enable_prepare_warnings

mysqltest.cc:
* make sure run_query_stmt() doesn't crash if there's
  no active connection (in wait_until_connected_again.inc)
* prepare all statements that server supports

protocol.h
* Protocol_discard::send_result_set_metadata() should not send
  anything to the client.

sql_acl.cc:
* extract the functionality of getting the user for SHOW GRANTS
  from check_show_access(), so that mysql_test_show_grants() could
  generate the correct column names in the prepare step

sql_class.cc:
* result->prepare() can fail, don't ignore its return value
* use correct number of decimals for EXPLAIN columns

sql_parse.cc:
* discard profiling for SHOW PROFILE. In text protocol it's done in
  prepare_schema_table(), but in --ps it is called on prepare only,
  so nothing was discarding profiling during execute.
* move the permission checking code for SHOW CREATE VIEW to
  mysqld_show_create_get_fields(), so that it would be called during
  prepare step too.
* only set sel_result when it was created here and needs to be
  destroyed in the same block. Avoid destroying lex->result.
* use the correct number of tables in check_show_access(). Saying
  "as many as possible" doesn't work when first_not_own_table isn't
  set yet.

sql_prepare.cc:
* use correct user name for SHOW GRANTS columns
* don't ignore verbose flag for SHOW SLAVE STATUS
* support preparing REVOKE ALL and ROLLBACK TO SAVEPOINT
* don't ignore errors from thd->prepare_explain_fields()
* use select_send result for sending ANALYZE and EXPLAIN, but don't
  overwrite lex->result, because it might be needed to issue execute-time
  errors (select_dumpvar - too many rows)

sql_show.cc:
* check grants for SHOW CREATE VIEW here, not in mysql_execute_command

sql_view.cc:
* use the correct function to check privileges. Old code was doing
  check_access() for thd->security_ctx, which is invoker's sctx,
  not definer's sctx. Hide various view related errors from the invoker.

sql_yacc.yy:
* initialize lex->select_lex for LOAD, otherwise it'll contain garbage
  data that happen to fail tests with views in --ps (but not otherwise).

af9649c722 MDEV-17349 Assertion `!table || (!table->read_set || bitmap_is_set(table->read_set, field_index))' failed on concurrent SELECT and DELETE after RENAME from table with index on virtual column
Race condition. field->flags were copied from s->field->flags during
field->clone(), early in open_table_from_share(). But s->field->flags
were getting their PART_INDIRECT_KEY_FLAG bit much later in
TABLE::mark_columns_used_by_virtual_fields() and only once per share.

If two threads were executing the code between field->clone()
and mark_columns_used_by_virtual_fields() at the same time, only
one would get PART_INDIRECT_KEY_FLAG bits in field[].

5d650d366d MDEV-16961 Assertion `!table || (!table->read_set || bitmap_is_set(table->read_set, field_index))' failed upon concurrent DELETE and DDL with virtual blob column
After iterating all fields and setting PART_INDIRECT_KEY_FLAG as
necessary, TABLE::mark_columns_used_by_virtual_fields() remembers
in TABLE_SHARE that this operation was done and need not be repeated.

But as the flag is set in TABLE_SHARE, PART_INDIRECT_KEY_FLAG must
be set in TABLE_SHARE::field[], not only in TABLE::field[].

Otherwise all new TABLEs opened from this TABLE_SHARE will
never have it.

831df10981 Add PART_INDIRECT_KEY_FLAG
This is to mark that a field is indirectly part of a key, which simplifes
checking if we need to have this field up to date to evaluate a key.

For example:
CREATE TABLE t1 (a int, b int as (a) virtual,
                 c int as (b) virtual, index(c))
would mark a and b with PART_INDIRECT_KEY_FLAG.
c is marked with PART_KEY_FLAG as before.

4cd2a0eb56 MDEV-15243 Crash with virtual fields and row based binary logging
The cause of this was several different bugs:

- When using binary logging with binlog_row_image=FULL
  the all bits in read_set was set, which caused a
  different (wrong) pattern for marking vcol_set.
- TABLE::mark_virtual_columns_for_write() didn't in all
  cases mark vcol_set with the vcol_field.
- TABLE::update_virtual_fields() has to update all
  vcol fields on REPLACE if binary logging with FULL
  is used.
- VCOL_UPDATE_INDEXED should update all vcol fields part
  of an index that was not updated by VCOL_UPDATE_FOR_READ
- max_row_length() calculated length of NULL and not
  used fields. This didn't cause any crash, but used
  more memory than needed.

50a8beedfe MDEV-13708 Crash with indexed virtual columns and FK cascading deletes
InnoDB was too eager to forget the open table (m_mysql_table=NULL)
and that caused it to try to open a table which was opened by the user
not FK-prelocked. The server didn't expect that.

After fixing this, it crashed in gcol.innodb_virtual_fk test, trying to
compute virtual columns for a table that didn't have them. Because
row_upd_store_row() was deleting a row from node->table, while computing
virtual columns in thr->prebuilt->m_mysql_table. Which wasn't necessarily
the same table, and might've not even had virtual columns, even if
node->table did.

a separate update step. On the second step WITH CHECK OPTION rows

keyread over indexed virtual columns only reads the column's value, not
dependent base columns. This is reflected in the read_set too. But on
the rnd_read step base columns must be read - thus we need to update the
read_set before doing updates.
