23d03a1b1e parse negative numbers into one item
use Item->neg to convert generate negative Item_num's
instead of Item_func_neg(Item_num).

Based on the following commit:

  Author: Monty <monty@mariadb.org>
  Date:   Mon May 30 22:44:00 2016 +0300

    Make negative number their own token
    The negation (-) operator will call Item->neg() one underlying numeric constants
    and remove itself (like the NOT() function does today for other NOT functions.

    This simplifies things
    - -1 is not anymore an expression but a basic_const_item
      - improves optimizer
      - DEFAULT -1 doesn't need special handling anymore
      - When we add DEFAULT expressions, -1 will be treated exactly like 1
    - printing of items doesn't anymore put braces around all negative numbers

    Other things fixed:
    - Fixed that longlong converted to decimal's has a more appropriate size
    - Fixed that "-0.0" read into a decimal is interpreted as 0.0

ad031d5110 Bug#13031606 VALUES() IN A SELECT STATEMENT CRASHES SERVER
Problem: Grouping results by VALUES(alias for string literal) causes
the server to crash.

Item_insert_values is not constructed to handle other types of
arguments than field and reference to field. In this case, the
argument is an Item_string, and this causes
Item_insert_values::fix_fields() to crash.

Fix: Issue an error message when the argument to Item_insert_values is
not a field or a reference to a field.

This is slightly in breach with documentation, which states that
VALUES should return NULL, but the error message is only issued in
cases where the server otherwise would crash, so there is no change in
behavior for queries that already work. Future versions will restrict
syntax so that using VALUES in this way is illegal.

64bee6fdc5 Bug#57882 - Item_func_conv_charset::val_str(String*):
Assertion `fixed == 1' failed

(also fixes duplicate bug 57515)

agg_item_set_converter() (item.cc) handles conversion of
character sets by creating a new Item. fix_fields() is then
called on this newly created item. Prior to this patch, it was
not checked whether fix_fields() was successful or not. Thus,
agg_item_set_converter() would return success even when an
error occured. This patch makes it return error (TRUE) if
fix_fields() fails.

3d31e3d641 Bug#28677: SELECT on missing column gives extra error
The method select_insert::send_error does two things, it rolls back a statement
being executed and outputs an error message. But when a
nonexistent column is referenced, an error message has been published already and
there is no need to publish another.
Fixed by moving all functionality beyond publishing an error message into
select_insert::abort() and calling only that function.

7517d7e112 Implementation of WL#2486 -
"Process NATURAL and USING joins according to SQL:2003".

* Some of the main problems fixed by the patch:
  - in "select *" queries the * expanded correctly according to
    ANSI for arbitrary natural/using joins
  - natural/using joins are correctly transformed into JOIN ... ON
    for any number/nesting of the joins.
  - column references are correctly resolved against natural joins
    of any nesting and combined with arbitrary other joins.

* This patch also contains a fix for name resolution of items
  inside the ON condition of JOIN ... ON - in this case items must
  be resolved only against the JOIN operands. To support such
  'local' name resolution, the patch introduces a stack of
  name resolution contexts used at parse time.

NOTICE:
- This patch is not complete in the sense that
  - there are 2 test cases that still do not pass -
    one in join.test, one in select.test. Both are marked
    with a comment "TODO: WL#2486".
  - it does not include a new test specific for the task

sql/sql_base.cc:
  This file contains the core of the implementation of the processing
  of NATURAL/USING joins (WL#2486).
  - added many comments to old code
  - refactored the group of find_field_in_XXX procedures, and added a
    new procedure for natural joins. There is one find_field_in_XXX procedure
    per each type of table reference (stored table, merge view, or natural
    join); one meta-procedure that selects the correct one depeneding on the
    table reference; and one procedure that goes over a list of table
    referenes.
  - NATURAL/USING joins are processed through the procedures:
      mark_common_columns, store_natural_using_join_columns,
      store_top_level_join_columns, setup_natural_join_row_types.
    The entry point to processing NATURAL/USING joins is the
    procedure 'setup_natural_join_row_types'.
  - Replaced the specialized Field_iterator_XXX iterators with one
    generic iterator over the fields of a table reference.
  - Simplified 'insert_fields' and 'setup_conds' due to encapsulation of
    the processing of natural joins in a separate set of procedures.
