bundled ssl should be auto-selected.
That's how it worked in 10.0, and it was unintentionally broken in 10.1.
RPM solution:
Make all server plugins to restart the server when installed.
To avoid multiple server restarts, do it only once in posttrans scriptlet.
Add support for CPACK_RPM_<component>_POST_TRANS_SCRIPT_FILE
Don't install server files if WITHOUT_SERVER is specified.
"Server files" are defined as files going into the MariaDB-Server RPM,
that is files in the components Server, ManPagesServer, Server_Scripts,
IniFiles, SuportFiles, and Readme.
Switch to Exuberant Ctags when generating TAGS, since it is much
better at parsing modern C++

Disks with native 4K sectors need 4K alignment and size for unbuffered IO
(i.e for files opened with FILE_FLAG_NO_BUFFERING)
Innodb opens redo log with FILE_FLAG_NO_BUFFERING, however it always does
512byte IOs. Thus, the IO on 4K native sectors will fail, rendering
Innodb non-functional.
The fix is to check whether OS_FILE_LOG_BLOCK_SIZE is multiple of logical
sector size, and if it is not, reopen the redo log without
FILE_FLAG_NO_BUFFERING flag.

Because running mtr for many hours with no output whatsoever
is not really what we should do.
And in 5.5 `make test` just works anyway, nothing to fix here.
Assign all tests added via MY_ADD_TEST to a bogus default_ignore target,
so that they are not ran by default when doing bare make test. Add default
test named MTR that calls mysql-test-run suite, which is now the single
test run by make test.
In consequence, modified unit/suite.pm to exclude the MTR test and run the
real ctests flagged for default_ignore target, thus no circular
loop.
Make mariadb crc32 lib platform independent
It looks strange that someone can make use of 2 crc libraries
(Power64 or AArch64) at the same time.
The patch sets macros 'CRC32_LIBRARY' to make platform independence as an optional crc32 library.

pkg_config usually comes with Strawberry perl, and tends to find packages
that might work in mingw compilation, but not with MSVC.
Thus disable PKG_CONFIG, otherwise any FIND_PACKAGE() that is using PkgConfig
can find something (like LibXml2 from connect), can potentially find something
that is not going to compile.

Added a no-op delete() for MEM_ROOT based placement-new()
But set _CRT_NONSTDC_NO_WARNINGS to silence silly warnings about

Remove now deprecated GetVersion()/GetVersionEx(),except single case

Avoid old IPv4-only inet_aton, which generated the warning.
Handle string length as size_t, consistently (almost always:))
Change function prototypes to accept size_t, where in the past
ulong or uint were used. change local/member variables to size_t
when appropriate.
This fix excludes rocksdb, spider, spider, sphinx and connect for now.
in gcc `-Wno-unsupported-something` will not be an error or even a warning,
so cmake will think the flag is supported. But if there's any other
warning during compilation, for any reason, unknown option will
be a warning too. Or an error when -Werror, even if that "other warning"
would not be an error on itself.
So we need to detect whether `-Wno-unsupported-something` is *really*
supported. Luckily, `-Wunsupported-something` will always fail with an
error.
So, whenever there's a need to detect if -Wno-something is supported,
test -Wsomething instead.

the MariaDB Connector/C files should go into a folder using the 'mariadb'

create a symlink from include/mysql to include/mariadb.
In case libaio is not found, and required,
remove variables HAVE_LIBAIO_H and HAVE_LIBAIO from cache, so that cmake
rerun after installation of libaio would succeed.
Both libraries and includes are required to check for symbols correctly.
In addition, we don't use SHA512_DIGEST_LENGTH symbol so remove the
extraneous check.
Using systemd we can automate creating users and directories. So
generate and install the configuration files.

Caused by 2fcd8c1252. It used the documented pcre API
-pcre_exec(NULL, NULL, NULL, -999, -999, 0, NULL, 0)
to calculate the pcre stack frame size. Unfortunately, modern compilers
broke it by cloning and inlining pcre match() function. 2fcd8c1252
tried to workaround it by setting the stack frame size to at least 500.
It didn't work, 500 is not a universal constant.
Now we fix our copy of pcre to not inline or clone match() - so that
stack frame detection would work again - and detect at cmake time
whether system pcre is broken or usable.
Also use stack, not (much slower) malloc in bundled pcre, unless on Windows
- Fix win64 pointer truncation warnings
(usually coming from misusing 0x%lx and long cast in DBUG)
- Also fix printf-format warnings
Make the above mentioned warnings fatal.
- fix pthread_join on Windows to set return value.
Even if cmake can find pkg-config (e.g the one supplied with strawberry perl
), we cannot link with pkg-config-found libraries or use the headers -they
are mingw, 32bit-only.

Also , mysql -V will show git revision.
"make dist" will now pack source_revision.h into the source package.

Some adjustments due to MDEV-13625 (merge InnoDB tests from MySQL 5.6)
were performed. The most notable behaviour changes from 10.0 and 10.1
are the following:
* innodb.innodb-table-online: adjustments for the DROP COLUMN
behaviour change (MDEV-11114, MDEV-13613)
* innodb.innodb-index-online-fk: the removal of a (1,NULL) record
from the result; originally removed in MySQL 5.7 in the
Oracle Bug #16244691 fix
377774689b
* innodb.create-index-debug: disabled due to MDEV-13680
(the MySQL Bug #77497 fix was not merged from 5.6 to 5.7.10)
* innodb.innodb-alter-autoinc: MariaDB 10.2 behaves like MySQL 5.6/5.7,
while MariaDB 10.0 and 10.1 assign different values when
auto_increment_increment or auto_increment_offset are used.
Also MySQL 5.6/5.7 exhibit different behaviour between
LGORITHM=INPLACE and ALGORITHM=COPY, so something needs to be tested
and fixed in both MariaDB 10.0 and 10.2.
* innodb.innodb-wl5980-alter: disabled because it would trigger an
InnoDB assertion failure (MDEV-13668 may need additional effort in 10.2)

simplify logic, VS generator seems to have problems if generated file
(with ADD_CUSTOM_COMMAND) depends on another generated file.
So, the fix is just to have mysqld_lib.{def,lib,exp} to be generated in a
single ADD_CUSTOM_COMMAND rather than two steps.
It is possible that a .git directory isn't definitive on the
existance of a working git tree. A git worktree over sshfs
for instance will fail to build unless the main repository
also exists in the same directory. Adding this extra test
will make the detection that little more ruggardised for these
odd build environments.

Remove the mysql-test-run --suite=percona, because it only contains
tests specific to XtraDB, many of which were disabled already in
earlier MariaDB versions.

Also, include fixes by Vladislav Vaintroub to the

OPENSSL_LIBRARIES, not generic SSL_LIBRARIES (such as YaSSL).
Do not exporting mysqld entry points directly.
This is needed for mariabackup, to load encryption plugins on Windows.
All plugins are "pure" by default. To mark plugin "impure"
it should use RECOMPILE_FOR_EMBEDDED or STORAGE_ENGINE keyword.
Description: If libmysql is compiled with WITH_SSL=NO,
--ssl-* are not useful.
Solution: 1. Restricted WITH_SSL to values : bundled | yes | system
2. Made "bundled" as default value for WITH_SSL. Also,
not specifying WITH_SSL or even specifying WITH_SSL=no
will be treated as/converted to WITH_SSL=bundled.

in MYSQL_ADD_PLUGIN, do not add TARGET_LINK_LIBRARIES twice for the LINK_LIBRARIES parameter

If libraries are added twice with whole-archive, linking will fail complaining about duplicate symbols
- Adding a new grammar file sql_yacc_ora.yy, which is currently
almost a full copy of sql_yacc.yy.
Note, it's now assumed that sql_yacc.yy and sql_yacc_ora.yy
use the same set of %token directives and exactly the same

These declarations should eventually be moved into a shared

- Removing the "-p MYSQL" flag from cmake/bison.cmake, using

- Adding a new test suite compat/oracle, with the first test "type_number".

debug build with older cmake.
The constant is implicitely defined by VS when chosen C runtime is Debug
(/MTd, MDd).
CMake does not define it since https://public.kitware.com/Bug/view.php?id=15777
was fixed.
We remove it from compile flags, to be able to build Debug with /MT runtime
using older cmakes.
To export symbols from the mysqld.exe, use lib.exe with /DEF, rather than
pre-link step when building mysqld.exe.
This helps to avoid relinking all plugins, if mysqld.exe was recompiled
but the list of its exports has not changed.
Also removed unnecessary DEPENDS in some ADD_CUSTOM_COMMAND (gen_lex_token,
gen_lex_hash etc). They confuse VS generator which tends to
recreate headers and do unnecessary recompilations.
Also, remove empty .ic files that were not removed by my MySQL commit.
Problem:
InnoDB used to support a compilation mode that allowed to choose
whether the function definitions in .ic files are to be inlined or not.
This stopped making sense when InnoDB moved to C++ in MySQL 5.6
(and ha_innodb.cc started to #include .ic files), and more so in
MySQL 5.7 when inline methods and functions were introduced
in .h files.
Solution:
Remove all references to UNIV_NONINL and UNIV_MUST_NOT_INLINE from
all files, assuming that the symbols are never defined.
Remove the files fut0fut.cc and ut0byte.cc which only mattered when
UNIV_NONINL was defined.
