Also fixes:

The "strnncollsp_nchars" virtual function pointer for tis620_thai_nopad_ci
was incorrectly initialized to a generic function
my_strnncollsp_nchars_generic_8bit(), which crashed on assert.

Implementing a tis620 specific function version.

6216a2dfa2 MDEV-29473 UBSAN: Signed integer overflow: X * Y cannot be represented in type 'int' in strings/dtoa.c
Fixing a few problems relealed by UBSAN in type_float.test

- multiplication overflow in dtoa.c

- uninitialized Field::geom_type (and Field::srid as well)

- Wrong call-back function types used in combination with SHOW_FUNC.
  Changes in the mysql_show_var_func data type definition were not
  properly addressed all around the code by the following commits:

    0ee879ff8a

  Adding a helper SHOW_FUNC_ENTRY() function and replacing
  all mysql_show_var_func declarations using SHOW_FUNC
  to SHOW_FUNC_ENTRY, to catch mysql_show_var_func in the future
  at compilation time.

f6118acda9 A follow-up patch MDEV-27266 Improve UCA collation performance for utf8mb3 and utf8mb4
Moving these members:

   CHARSET_INFO *cs;
   const MY_UCA_WEIGHT_LEVEL *level;

from my_uca_scanner to a new separate structure my_uca_scanner_param.

Rationale:

During a comparison of two strings these members were initialized two times
(one time for every string).

After the change these members initialized only one time inside
a shared instance of my_uca_scanner_param, and the instance is
shared between two scanners (its const address is passed as new a parameter
to the underlying scanner functions).

This change gives a slight performance improvement (~5%).

Ensure that source files contain only valid UTF8 encodings (#2188)
Modern software (including text editors, static analysis software,
and web-based code review interfaces) often requires source code files
to be interpretable via a consistent character encoding, with UTF-8 or
ASCII (a strict subset of UTF-8) as the default. Several of the MariaDB
source files contain bytes that are not valid in either the UTF-8 or
ASCII encodings, but instead represent strings encoded in the
ISO-8859-1/Latin-1 or ISO-8859-2/Latin-2 encodings.

These inconsistent encodings may prevent software from correctly
presenting or processing such files. Converting all source files to
valid UTF8 characters will ensure correct handling.

Comments written in Czech were replaced with lightly-corrected
translations from Google Translate. Additionally, comments describing
the proper handling of special characters were changed so that the
comments are now purely UTF8.

All new code of the whole pull request, including one or several files
that are either new files or modified ones, are contributed under the
BSD-new license. I am contributing on behalf of my employer
Amazon Web Services, Inc.

d8f172c11c MDEV-27266 Improve UCA collation performance for utf8mb3 and utf8mb4
Adding two levels of optimization:

1. For every bytes pair [00..FF][00..FF] which:
  a. consists of two ASCII characters or makes a well-formed two-byte character
  b. whose total weight string fits into 4 weights
     (concatenated weight string in case of two ASCII characters,
     or a single weight string in case of a two-byte character)
  c. whose weight is context independent (i.e. does not depend on contractions
     or previous context pairs)
  store weights in a separate array of MY_UCA_2BYTES_ITEM,
  so during scanner_next() we can scan two bytes at a time.
  Byte pairs that do not match the conditions a-c are marked in this array
  as not applicable for optimization and scanned as before.

2. For every byte pair which is applicable for optimization in #1,
   and which produces only one or two weights, store
   weights in one more array of MY_UCA_WEIGHT2. So in the beginning
   of strnncoll*() we can skip equal prefixes using an even more efficient
   loop. This loop consumes two bytes at a time. The loop scans while the
   two bytes on both sides produce weight strings of equal length
   (i.e. one weight on both sides, or two weight on both sides).
   This allows to compare efficiently:
   - Context independent sequences consisting of two ASCII characters
   - Context independent 2-byte characters
   - Contractions consisting of two ASCII characters, e.g. Czech "ch".
   - Some tricky cases: "ss" vs "SHARP S"
     ("ss" produces two weights, 0xC39F also produces two weights)

133446828c MDEV-27009 Add UCA-14.0.0 collations
- Added one neutral and 22 tailored (language specific) collations based on
  Unicode Collation Algorithm version 14.0.0.

  Collations were added for Unicode character sets
  utf8mb3, utf8mb4, ucs2, utf16, utf32.

  Every tailoring was added with four accent and case
  sensitivity flag combinations, e.g:

  * utf8mb4_uca1400_swedish_as_cs
  * utf8mb4_uca1400_swedish_as_ci
  * utf8mb4_uca1400_swedish_ai_cs
  * utf8mb4_uca1400_swedish_ai_ci

  and their _nopad_ variants:

  * utf8mb4_uca1400_swedish_nopad_as_cs
  * utf8mb4_uca1400_swedish_nopad_as_ci
  * utf8mb4_uca1400_swedish_nopad_ai_cs
  * utf8mb4_uca1400_swedish_nopad_ai_ci

- Introducing a conception of contextually typed named collations:

  CREATE DATABASE db1 CHARACTER SET utf8mb4;
  CREATE TABLE db1.t1 (a CHAR(10) COLLATE uca1400_as_ci);

  The idea is that there is no a need to specify the character set prefix
  in the new collation names. It's enough to type just the suffix
  "uca1400_as_ci". The character set is taken from the context.

  In the above example script the context character set is utf8mb4.
  So the CREATE TABLE will make a column with the collation
  utf8mb4_uca1400_as_ci.

  Short collations names can be used in any parts of the SQL syntax
  where the COLLATE clause is understood.

- New collations are displayed only one time
  (without character set combinations) by these statements:

     SELECT * FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLLATIONS;
     SHOW COLLATION;

  For example, all these collations:
  - utf8mb3_uca1400_swedish_as_ci
  - utf8mb4_uca1400_swedish_as_ci
  - ucs2_uca1400_swedish_as_ci
  - utf16_uca1400_swedish_as_ci
  - utf32_uca1400_swedish_as_ci
  have just one entry in INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLLATIONS and SHOW COLLATION,
  with COLLATION_NAME equal to "uca1400_swedish_as_ci", which is the suffix
  without the character set name:

- The structure of the table INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLLATIONS was changed.

  The NOT NULL constraint was removed from these columns:
  - CHARACTER_SET_NAME
  - ID
  - IS_DEFAULT
  and from the corresponding columns in SHOW COLLATION.

  For example:

  The NULL value in these columns now means that the collation
  is applicable to multiple character sets.
  The behavioir of old collations did not change.
  Make sure your client programs can handle NULL values in these columns.

- The structure of the table
  INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLLATION_CHARACTER_SET_APPLICABILITY was changed.

  Three new NOT NULL columns were added:
  - FULL_COLLATION_NAME
  - ID
  - IS_DEFAULT

  New collations have multiple entries in COLLATION_CHARACTER_SET_APPLICABILITY.
  The column COLLATION_NAME contains the collation name without the character
  set prefix. The column FULL_COLLATION_NAME contains the collation name with
  the character set prefix.

  Old collations have full collation name in both FULL_COLLATION_NAME and
  COLLATION_NAME.

6bc10f8026 MDEV-27009 Add UCA-14.0.0 collations - adding version aware implicit weight handling
Implicit weights are now handled according to the Unicode version
(14.0.0 vs earlier versions).

- Adding a new member MY_UCA_INFO::version

- Copy logical positions and the version from "src_uca" to "new_uca"
  in init_weight_level().

- Adding a "const MY_UCA_INFO *" parameter to a few functions
  to know Unicode version to generate implicit weights accordingly:
  - during the collation initialization time, to pages which are
    a mixture of explicit and implicit weights
  - during comparison time, for fully implicit pages

d7ffb7c3dd MDEV-27009 Add UCA-14.0.0 collations - dump logical positions and contractions
- uca-dump can now dump logical positions as a set of "#define" directives.
  Logical positions for 4.0.0 and for 5.2.0 were calculated and put into
  ctype-uca.c manually. That required some efforts by analyzing allkeys.txt
  with help of grep and sort.
  Now when defining a new MY_UCA_INFO it's possible to use the new #define's
  instead of calculating logical positions manually.
  Logical positions also print their weights in DUCET format as a comment
  before the define:

  The comment helps to know weight ranges on various levels,
  which makes it easier to debug the code.

- uca-dump can now dump built-in DUCET contractions

- Adding a new uca-dump command line option --no-contractions, this is useful
  if one needs to re-dump 4.0.0 and 5.2.0 data in ctype-uca.c compatible way.

- Adding a new uca-dump command line options --case-first=upper|level.
  This can be useful if one need to dump with UPPER case first by default.
  It's not yet decided if we'll use --case-first=upper during the dump though.

- Moving parts of the code from the main loop into separate functions
  parse_chars() and parse_weights(). This allows to reuse the code between
  single characters and contractions.

- Adding a new function my_ducet_weight_normalize(), to cut zero weights
  from a weight string, e.g. [AAAA][0000][BBBB] -> [AAAA][BBBB].
  This helps to reuse the code between single characters and contractions.

- Weight normalization is now done before printing, in separate loops inside
  my_ducet_normalize(). Before this change, normalization was done during
  priting, inside the printing loop. This helps to separate steps:
  loading -> normalizing -> printing.
  This makes it easier to follow what's going on, e.g. while debugging.

- Fixing ctype-uca.c to handle built-in contractions of any length.
  Previously we had only built-in contractions in utf8mb4_thai_520_w2,
  which contains only 2-character contractions.

0736c03d56 MDEV-27009 Add UCA-14.0.0 collations - Adding implicit weight handling for Unicode-14.0.0
1. Adding separate functions for different Unicode versions
  - my_uca_520_implicit_weight_primary()
   It calculates implicit weights according to the old algorithm
   that we used to dump Unicode-5.2.0 weights.

  - my_uca_1400_implicit_weight_primary()
    It calculates implicit weights according to
    https://unicode.org/reports/tr10/#Values_For_Base_Table
    as of November 2021, Unicode version 14.0.0.

2. Adding the "@version" line recognition when dumping allkeys.txt.
   Implicit weights are dumped according to @version.

3. Dumping the scanned version as a "#define"

4. Removing dumping MY_UCA_NPAGES, MY_UCA_NCHARS, MY_UCA_CMASK, MY_UCA_PSHIFT,
   as they are defined in ctype-uca.c. Removing dumping of "main()", it's not
   needed. The intent is to generate an *.h file which can be put directly
   to the MariaDB source tree.

5. Adding a structure MY_DUCET. It now contains weights for single
   characters and version related members. Later we'll add contractions
   and logical positions in here.

43fa8e0b8f MDEV-28319: Assertion `cur_step->type & JSON_PATH_KEY' failed in json_find_path
Analysis: When trying to find path and handling the match for path,
value at current index is not set to 0 for array_counters. This causes wrong
current step value which eventually causes wrong cur_step->type value.
Fix: Set the value at current index for array_counters to 0.

4730a6982f MDEV-28350: Test failing on buildbot with UBSAN
Analysis: There were two kinds of failing tests on buildbot with UBSAN.
1) runtime error: signed integer overflow and
2) runtime error: load of value is not valid value for type
Signed integer overflow was occuring because addition of two integers
(size of json array + item number in array) was causing overflow in
json_path_parts_compare. This overflow happens because a->n_item_end
wasn't set.
The second error was occuring because c_path->p.types_used is not
initialized but the value is used later on to check for negative path index.
Fix: For signed integer overflow, use a->n_item_end only in case of range
so that it is set.

3716eaff4e MDEV-28326: Server crashes in json_path_parts_compare
Analysis: When trying to compare json paths, the array_sizes variable is
NULL when beginning. But trying to access address by adding to the NULL
pointer while recursive calling json_path_parts_compare() for handling
double wildcard, it causes undefined behaviour and the array_sizes
variable eventually becomes non-null (has some address).
This eventually results in crash.
Fix: If array_sizes variable is NULL then pass NULL recursively as well.

c69d72c2e4 MDEV-28072: JSON_EXTRACT has inconsistent behavior with '0' value in json
path (when range is used)

Analysis: When 0 comes after space, then the json path parser changes the
state to JE_SYN instead of PS_Z (meaning parse zero). Hence the warning.
Fix: Make the state PS_Z instead of JE_SYN.

95a9078efc MDEV-28071: JSON_EXISTS returns always 1 if it is used range notation for
json path
Analysis: When searching for the given path in json string, if the current
step is of array range type, then path was considered reached which meant
path exists. So output was always true. The end indexes of range were not
evaluated.
Fix: If the current step type for a path is array range, then check if the
value array_counter[] is in range of n_item and n_item_end. If it is, then
path exists. Only then return true. If the range criteria is never met
then return false.

e6511a39f8 vcol.wrong_arena failing on buildbot when current date is '2022-03-17'
Analysis: When current date is '2022-03-17', dayname() gives 'Thursday'. The
previous json state is PS_KEYX which means key started with quote.
So now json parser for path is supposed to parse the key.
The keyname starts with 'T'. But the path transition table has JE_SYN when
previous state is PS_KEYX and next letter is 'T'. So it gives error.
Fix: We want to continue parsing the quoted keyname. So JE_SYN is incorrect.
Replaced it with PS_KNMX.

Range can be thought about in similar manner as wildcard (*) where
more than one elements are processed. To implement range notation, extended
json parser to parse the 'to' keyword and added JSON_PATH_ARRAY_RANGE for
path type. If there is 'to' keyword then use JSON_PATH_ARRAY range for
path type along with existing type.
This new integer to store the end index of range is n_item_end.
When there is 'to' keyword, store the integer in n_item_end else store in
n_item.

dfcbb30a92 MDEV-22224: Support JSON Path negative index
This patch can be viewed as combination of two parts:
1) Enabling '-' in the path so that the parser does not give out a warning.
2) Setting the negative index to a correct value and returning the
   appropriate value.

1) To enable using the negative index in the path:
To make the parser not return warning when negative index is used in path
'-' needs to be allowed in json path characters. P_NEG is added
to enable this and is made recognizable by setting the 45th index of
json_path_chr_map[] to P_NEG (instead of previous P_ETC)
because 45 corresponds to '-' in unicode.
When the path is being parsed and '-' is encountered, the parser should
recognize it as parsing '-' sign, so a new json state PS_NEG is required.
When the state is PS_NEG, it means that a negative integer is
going to be parsed so set is_negative_index of current step to 1 and
n_item is set accordingly when integer is encountered after '-'.
Next proceed with parsing rest of the path and get the correct path.
Next thing is parsing the json and returning correct value.

2) Setting the negative index to a correct value and returning the value:
While parsing json if we encounter array and the path step for the array
is a negative index (n_item < 0), then we can count the number of elements
in the array and set n_item to correct corresponding value. This is done in
json_skip_array_and_count.

59359fb44a MDEV-24841 Build error with MSAN use-of-uninitialized-value in comp_err
The MemorySanitizer implementation in clang includes some built-in
instrumentation (interceptors) for GNU libc. In GNU libc 2.33, the
interface to the stat() family of functions was changed. Until the
MemorySanitizer interceptors are adjusted, any MSAN code builds
will act as if that the stat() family of functions failed to initialize
the struct stat.

A fix was applied in
https://reviews.llvm.org/rG4e1a6c07052b466a2a1cd0c3ff150e4e89a6d87a
but it fails to cover the 64-bit variants of the calls.

For now, let us work around the MemorySanitizer bug by defining
and using the macro MSAN_STAT_WORKAROUND().

f9ad8072cd MDEV-27042 UCA: Resetting contractions to ignorable does not work well
The weight scanner routine scanner_next() did not properly handle the cases
when a contraction produces no weights (is ignorable).

Adding a helper routine my_uca_scanner_set_weight() and using
it in all cases:

- A single ASCII character
- A contraction starting with an ASCII character
- A multi-byte character
- A contraction starting with a multi-byte character

Also adding two other helper routines:

- my_uca_scanner_next_expansion_weight()
- my_uca_scanner_set_weight_outside_maxchar()

to avoid using scanner->wbeg directly inside scanner_next().
This reduces the probability of similar future bugs.

2. Adding a helper function my_uca_true_contraction_eq()

3. Changing the way how scanner->wbeg is set during context weight handling.
   It was previously set inside functions:
   - my_uca_scanner_contraction_find()
   - my_uca_previous_context_find()
   Now it's set inside scanner_next(), which makes the code more symmetric
   for context-free and context-dependent sequences.
   This makes then upcoming fix for MDEV-27042 simpler.

d0b611a76d MDEV-24335 Unexpected question mark in the end of a TINYTEXT column
my_copy_fix_mb() passed MIN(src_length,dst_length) to
my_append_fix_badly_formed_tail(). It could break a multi-byte
character in the middle, which put the question mark to the
destination.

059797ed44 MDEV-24901 SIGSEGV in fts_get_table_name, SIGSEGV in ib_vector_size, SIGSEGV in row_merge_fts_doc_tokenize, stack smashing
strmake() puts one extra 0x00 byte at the end of the string.
The code in my_strnxfrm_tis620[_nopad] did not take this into
account, so in the reported scenario the 0x00 byte was put outside
of a stack variable, which made ASAN crash.

This problem is already fixed in in MySQL:

But the fix does not seem to be correct, as it breaks when finds a zero byte
in the source string.

Using memcpy() instead of strmake().

- Unlike the MySQL fix, memcpy() does not break on the first 0x00 byte found
  in the source string.

my_sys DYNAMIC_ARRAY and DYNAMIC_STRING inconsistancy

The DYNAMIC_STRING uses size_t for sizes, but DYNAMIC_ARRAY used uint.
This patch adjusts DYNAMIC_ARRAY to use size_t like DYNAMIC_STRING.

As the MY_DIR member number_of_files is copied from a DYNAMIC_ARRAY,
this is changed to be size_t.

As MY_TMPDIR members 'cur' and 'max' are copied from a DYNAMIC_ARRAY,
these are also changed to be size_t.

The lists of plugins and stored procedures use DYNAMIC_ARRAY,
but their APIs assume a size of 'uint'; these are unchanged.

105e4148bf Add json_normalize function to json_lib
This patch implements a library for normalizing json documents.
The algorithm is:
* Recursively sort json keys according to utf8mb4_bin collation.
* Normalize numbers to be of the form [-]<digit>.<frac>E<exponent>
* All unneeded whitespace and line endings are removed.
* Arrays are not sorted.

3d6eb7afcf MDEV-25602 get rid of __WIN__ in favor of standard _WIN32
This fixed the MySQL bug# 20338 about misuse of double underscore
prefix __WIN__, which was old MySQL's idea of identifying Windows
Replace it by _WIN32 standard symbol for targeting Windows OS
(both 32 and 64 bit)

Not that connect storage engine is not fixed in this patch (must be
fixed in "upstream" branch)

a206658b98 Change CHARSET_INFO character set and collaction names to LEX_CSTRING
This change removed 68 explict strlen() calls from the code.

The following renames was done to ensure we don't use the old names
when merging code from earlier releases, as using the new variables
for print function could result in crashes:
- charset->csname renamed to charset->cs_name
- charset->name renamed to charset->coll_name

Almost everything where mechanical changes except:
- Changed to use the new Protocol::store(LEX_CSTRING..) when possible
- Changed to use field->store(LEX_CSTRING*, CHARSET_INFO*) when possible
- Changed to use String->append(LEX_CSTRING&) when possible

Other things:
- There where compiler issues with ensuring that all character set names
  points to the same string: gcc doesn't allow one to use integer constants
  when defining global structures (constant char * pointers works fine).
  To get around this, I declared defines for each character set name
  length.

fa7d4abf16 Added typedef decimal_digits_t (uint16) for number of digits in most
aspects of decimals and integers

For fields and Item's uint8 should be good enough. After
discussions with Alexander Barkov we choose uint16 (for now)
as some format functions may accept +256 digits.

The reason for this patch was to make the usage and storage of decimal
digits simlar. Before this patch decimals was stored/used as uint8,
int and uint.  The lengths for numbers where also using a lot of
different types.

Changed most decimal variables and functions to use the new typedef.

2fdb556e04 MDEV-8334: Rename utf8 to utf8mb3
This patch changes the main name of 3 byte character set from utf8 to
utf8mb3. New old_mode UTF8_IS_UTF8MB3 is added and set TRUE by default,
so that utf8 would mean utf8mb3. If not set, utf8 would mean utf8mb4.

031f11717d Fix all warnings given by UBSAN
The easiest way to compile and test the server with UBSAN is to run:
./BUILD/compile-pentium64-ubsan
and then run mysql-test-run.
After this commit, one should be able to run this without any UBSAN
warnings. There is still a few compiler warnings that should be fixed
at some point, but these do not expose any real bugs.

The 'special' cases where we disable, suppress or circumvent UBSAN are:
- ref10 source (as here we intentionally do some shifts that UBSAN
  complains about.
- x86 version of optimized int#korr() methods. UBSAN do not like unaligned
  memory access of integers.  Fixed by using byte_order_generic.h when
  compiling with UBSAN
- We use smaller thread stack with ASAN and UBSAN, which forced me to
  disable a few tests that prints the thread stack size.
- Verifying class types does not work for shared libraries. I added
  suppression in mysql-test-run.pl for this case.
- Added '#ifdef WITH_UBSAN' when using integer arithmetic where it is
  safe to have overflows (two cases, in item_func.cc).

Things fixed:
- Don't left shift signed values
  (byte_order_generic.h, mysqltest.c, item_sum.cc and many more)
- Don't assign not non existing values to enum variables.
- Ensure that bool and enum values are properly initialized in
  constructors.  This was needed as UBSAN checks that these types has
  correct values when one copies an object.
  (gcalc_tools.h, ha_partition.cc, item_sum.cc, partition_element.h ...)
- Ensure we do not called handler functions on unallocated objects or
  deleted objects.
  (events.cc, sql_acl.cc).
- Fixed bugs in Item_sp::Item_sp() where we did not call constructor
  on Query_arena object.
- Fixed several cast of objects to an incompatible class!
  (Item.cc, Item_buff.cc, item_timefunc.cc, opt_subselect.cc, sql_acl.cc,
   sql_select.cc ...)
- Ensure we do not do integer arithmetic that causes over or underflows.
  This includes also ++ and -- of integers.
  (Item_func.cc, Item_strfunc.cc, item_timefunc.cc, sql_base.cc ...)
- Added JSON_VALUE_UNITIALIZED to json_value_types and ensure that
  value_type is initialized to this instead of to -1, which is not a valid
  enum value for json_value_types.
- Ensure we do not call memcpy() when second argument could be null.
- Fixed that Item_func_str::make_empty_result() creates an empty string
  instead of a null string (safer as it ensures we do not do arithmetic
  on null strings).

Other things:

- Changed struct st_position to an OBJECT and added an initialization
  function to it to ensure that we do not copy or use uninitialized
  members. The change to a class was also motived that we used "struct
  st_position" and POSITION randomly trough the code which was
  confusing.
- Notably big rewrite in sql_acl.cc to avoid using deleted objects.
- Changed in sql_partition to use '^' instead of '-'. This is safe as
  the operator is either 0 or 0x8000000000000000ULL.
- Added check for select_nr < INT_MAX in JOIN::build_explain() to
  avoid bug when get_select() could return NULL.
- Reordered elements in POSITION for better alignment.
- Changed sql_test.cc::print_plan() to use pointers instead of objects.
- Fixed bug in find_set() where could could execute '1 << -1'.
- Added variable have_sanitizer, used by mtr.  (This variable was before
  only in 10.5 and up).  It can now have one of two values:
  ASAN or UBSAN.
- Moved ~Archive_share() from ha_archive.cc to ha_archive.h and marked
  it virtual. This was an effort to get UBSAN to work with loaded storage
  engines. I kept the change as the new place is better.
- Added in CONNECT engine COLBLK::SetName(), to get around a wrong cast
  in tabutil.cpp.
- Added HAVE_REPLICATION around usage of rgi_slave, to get embedded
  server to compile with UBSAN. (Patch from Marko).
- Added #ifdef for powerpc64 to avoid a bug in old gcc versions related
  to integer arithmetic.

Changes that should not be needed but had to be done to suppress warnings
from UBSAN:

- Added static_cast<<uint16_t>> around shift to get rid of a LOT of
  compiler warnings when using UBSAN.
- Had to change some '/' of 2 base integers to shift to get rid of
  some compile time warnings.

5a9df1550f MDEV-23941: strings/json_lib.c:893:12: style: Suspicious condition
The characters parsed are always ascii characters, hence one byte. This
means that the code did not have "incorrect" logic because the boolean
condition, if true, would also evaluate to the value of 1.

The condition however is semantically wrong, assuming a length is equal
to the condition outcome. Change paranthesis to make it also read
according to the intent.

7c5519c12d MDEV-22387: Do not violate __attribute__((nonnull))
Passing a null pointer to a nonnull argument is not only undefined
behaviour, but it also grants the compiler the permission to optimize
away further checks whether the pointer is null. GCC -O2 at least
starting with version 8 may do that, potentially causing SIGSEGV.

31aef3ae99 Fix GCC 10.2.0 -Og -Wmaybe-uninitialized
For some reason, GCC emits more -Wmaybe-uninitialized warnings
when using the flag -Og than when using -O2. Many of the warnings
look genuine.

dbcd3384e0 MDEV-7947 strcmp() takes 0.37% in OLTP RO
This patch ensures that all identical character sets shares the same
cs->csname.
This allows us to replace strcmp() in my_charset_same() with comparisons
of pointers. This fixes a long standing performance issue that could cause
as strcmp() for every item sent trough the protocol class to the end user.

One consequence of this patch is that we don't allow one to add a character
definition in the Index.xml file that changes the csname of an existing
character set. This is by design as changing character set names of existing
ones is extremely dangerous, especially as some storage engines just records
character set numbers.

As we now have a hash over character set's csname, we can in the future
use that for faster access to a specific character set. This could be done
by changing the hash to non unique and use the hash to find the next
character set with same csname.

c36834c832 MDEV-20377: Make WITH_MSAN more usable
MemorySanitizer (clang -fsanitize=memory) requires that all code
be compiled with instrumentation enabled. The only exception is the
C runtime library. Failure to use instrumented libraries will cause
bogus messages about memory being uninitialized.

In WITH_MSAN builds, we must avoid calling getservbyname(),
because even though it is a standard library function, it is
not instrumented, not even in clang 10.

Note: Before MariaDB Server 10.5, ./mtr will typically fail
due to the old PCRE library, which was updated in MDEV-14024.

The following cmake options were tested on 10.5

MEM_MAKE_DEFINED(): An alias for VALGRIND_MAKE_MEM_DEFINED()
and __msan_unpoison().

MEM_GET_VBITS(), MEM_SET_VBITS(): Aliases for
VALGRIND_GET_VBITS(), VALGRIND_SET_VBITS(), __msan_copy_shadow().

InnoDB: Replace the UNIV_MEM_ macros with corresponding MEM_ macros.

ut_crc32_8_hw(), ut_crc32_64_low_hw(): Use the compiler built-in
functions instead of inline assembler when building WITH_MSAN.
This will require at least -msse4.2 when building for IA-32 or AMD64.
The inline assembler would not be instrumented, and would thus cause
bogus failures.

MDEV-22691 MSAN use-of-uninitialized-value in test maria.maria-recovery2

This caused all my_vsnprintf() using doubles to fail.
Thanks to the workaround, I was able to remove the disabling of
MSAN in dtoa().

9b9a354da9 MDEV-22849 Reuse skip_trailing_space() in my_hash_sort_utf8mbX
Replacing the slow loop in my_hash_sort_utf8mbX() to the fast
skip_trailing_spaces(), which consumes 8 bytes in one iteration,
and is around 8 times faster on long data.

Also, renaming:
- my_hash_sort_utf8() to my_hash_sort_utf8mb3()
- my_hash_sort_utf8_nopad() to my_hash_sort_utf8mb3_nopad()
to merge to 10.5 easier (automatically?).
