6986645c79 Bug#14111584 PB2: PERFSCHEMA.AGGREGATE FAILS ON PB2 SPORADICALLY
Permanently removed test case perfschema.aggregate.

The Performance Schema is generally lock-free, allowing for
race conditions that might arise from multi-threaded operation
which occasionally results in temporary and/or minor variances
when aggregating statistics. This test needs to be redesigned
to accommodate such variances.

a7814d44fc MDEV-10311 - funcs_1.processlist_priv_no_prot fails sporadically
State column of SHOW PROCESSLIST can have NULL values for being initialized
threads (between new connection was acknowledged and waiting for network data).

Fixed test case to handle such cases by waiting for State to become empty
string.

    MDEV-10083: Orphan ibd file when playing with foreign keys

    Analysis: row_drop_table_for_mysql did not allow dropping
    referenced table even in case when actual creating of the
    referenced table was not successfull if foreign_key_checks=1.

    Fix: Allow dropping referenced table even if foreign_key_checks=1
    if actual table create returned error.

b449612907 MDEV-8638: REVOKE ALL PRIVILEGES, GRANT OPTION FROM CURRENT_ROLE breaks replication
Fix the replication failure caused by incorect initialization of
THD::invoker_host && THD::invoker_user.

Breakdown of the failure is this:
Query_log_event::host and Query_log_event::user can have their
LEX_STRING's set to length 0, but the actual str member points to
garbage. Code afterwards copies Query_log_event::host and user to
THD::invoker_host and THD::invoker_user.

Calling code for these members expects both members to be initialized.
Eg. the str member be a NULL terminated string and length have
appropriate size.

5fd8087590 [MDEV-9614] Roles and Users longer than 6 characters
The bug is apparent when the username is longer than the rolename.
It is caused by a simple typo that caused a memcmp call to compare a
different number of bytes than necessary.

The fix was proposed by Igor Pashev. I have reviewed it and it is the
correct approach. Test case introduced by me, using the details provided
in the MDEV.

a10fd659aa Fixed for failures in buildbot: Replication
1. remove unnecessary rpl-tokudb combination file.
2. fix rpl_ignore_table to cleanup properly (not leave test
   grants in memory)
3. check_temp_dir() is supposed to set the error in stmt_da - do
   it even when called multiple times, this fixes a crash when
   rpl.rpl_slave_load_tmpdir_not_exist is run twice.

21479a6bb3 MDEV-9524 Cannot load from mysql.event when sql_mode is set to PAD_CHAR_TO_FULL_LENGTH
The patch fixes the problem with loading information from system tables
(e.g. event and help related tables) when PAD_CHAR_TO_FULL_LENGTH is enabled,
as well as includes some additional minor improvements:
- refactoring in get_field() to return an error rather than success
  if strmake_root() failed
- removing of duplicate code in similar functions:
  char *get_field(MEM_ROOT *mem, Field *field)
  bool get_field(MEM_ROOT *mem, Field *field, String *res)

82a96926a7 MDEV-9728 - Hard crash in metadata_lock_info
metadata_lock_info plugin called MDL_context::find_ticket() to obtain lock
duration, which in turn iterates foreign thread private lists. These lists
can be updated by owner thread without protection.

Fixed by iterating threads (instead of MDL locks and tickets) and obtaining
data through APC.

Also fixed mdl_iterate_lock() to initialize iterator under prlock protection.

a80dbe068c MDEV-10020 InnoDB NOT IN Query Crash When One Item Is NULL
The problem was that the loop in get_func_mm_tree()
accessed improperly initialized instances of String,
which resided in the bzero'ed part of the in_vector::base array.

Strings in in_vector::base are originally initialized
in Item_func_in::fix_length_and_dec(),
in in_vector::in_vector() using sql_calloc,
rather than using a String constructor, so their str_charset
members are originally equal to NULL.

Strings in in_vector::base are later initialized
to good values in Item_func_in::fix_length_and_dec(),
using array->set(), in this code:

      uint j=0;
      for (uint i=1 ; i < arg_count ; i++)
      {
        array->set(j,args[i]);
        if (!args[i]->null_value) // Skip NULL values
          j++;
        else
          have_null= 1;
      }
      if ((array->used_count= j))
        array->sort();

NULLs are not taken into account, so at the end
array->used_count can be smaller than array->count.

This patch fixes the loop in opt_range.cc, in get_func_mm_tree(),
to access only properly initialized elements in in_vector::base,
preventing access to its bzero'ed non-initialized tail.

The bug asks for a backport of bug#1463594 and bug#20682959. This
is required because of the fact that if replication is enabled, master
transaction can commit whereas slave can't commit due to not exact
'enviroment'. This manifestation is seen in bug#22024200.

The combination of --remove_file and --write_file on .expect file creates

90b9c957ba BUG#21142859: FUNCTION UPDATING A VIEW FAILS TO FIND TABLE
THAT ACTUALLY EXISTS

ANALYSIS:
=========
Stored functions updating a view where the view table has a
trigger defined that updates another table, fails reporting
an error that the table doesn't exist.

If there is a trigger defined on a table, a variable
'trg_event_map' will be set to a non-zero value after the
parsed tree creation. This indicates what triggers we need to
pre-load for the TABLE_LIST when opening an associated table.

During the prelocking phase, the variable 'trg_event_map'
will not be set for the view table. This value will be set
after the processing of triggers defined on the table. During
the processing of sub-statements, 'locked_tables_mode' will be
set to 'LTM_PRELOCKED' which denotes that further locking
of tables/functions cannot be done. This results in the other
table not being locked and thus further processing results in
an error getting reported.

FIX:
====
During the prelocking of view, the value of 'trg_event_map'
of the view is copied to 'trg_event_map' of the next table
in the TABLE_LIST. This results in the locking of tables
associated with the trigger as well.

818b3a9123 Bug#12818255: READ-ONLY OPTION DOES NOT ALLOW
INSERTS/UPDATES ON TEMPORARY TABLES
Bug#14294223: CHANGES NOT ALLOWED TO TEMPORARY TABLES ON
READ-ONLY SERVERS

Problem:
========
Running 5.5.14 in read only we can create temporary tables
but can not insert or update records in the table. When we
try we get Error 1290 : The MySQL server is running with the
--read-only option so it cannot execute this statement.

Analysis:
=========
This bug is very specific to binlog being enabled and
binlog-format being stmt/mixed. Standalone server without
binlog enabled or with row based binlog-mode works fine.

How standalone server and row based replication work:
=====================================================
Standalone server and row based replication mark the
transactions as read_write only when they are modifying
non temporary tables as part of their current transaction.

Because of this when code enters commit phase it checks
if a transaction is read_write or not. If the transaction
is read_write and global read only mode is enabled those
transaction will fail with 'server is read only mode'
error.

In the case of statement based mode at the time of writing
to binary log a binlog handler is created and it is always
marked as read_write. In case of temporary tables even
though the engine did not mark the transaction as read_write
but the new transaction that is started by binlog handler is
considered as read_write.

Hence in this case when code enters commit phase it finds
one handler which has a read_write transaction even when
we are modifying temporary table. This causes the server
to throw an error when global read-only mode is enabled.

Fix:
====
At the time of commit in "ha_commit_trans" if a read_write
transaction is found, we should check if this transaction is
coming from a handler other than binlog_handler. This will
ensure that there is a genuine read_write transaction being
sent by the engine apart from binlog_handler and only then
it should be blocked.
