BUG#21726: Incorrect result with multiple invocations of LAST_INSERT_ID
Non-upper-level INSERTs (the ones in the body of stored procedure, stored function, or trigger) into a table that have AUTO_INCREMENT column didn't affected the result of LAST_INSERT_ID() on this level. The problem was introduced with the fix of bug 6880, which in turn was introduced with the fix of bug 3117, where current insert_id value was remembered on the first call to LAST_INSERT_ID() (bug 3117) and was returned from that function until it was reset before the next _upper-level_ statement (bug 6880). The fix for bug#21726 brings back the behaviour of version 4.0, and implements the following: remember insert_id value at the beginning of the statement or expression (which at that point equals to the first insert_id value generated by the previous statement), and return that remembered value from LAST_INSERT_ID() or @@LAST_INSERT_ID. Thus, the value returned by LAST_INSERT_ID() is not affected by values generated by current statement, nor by LAST_INSERT_ID(expr) calls in this statement. Version 5.1 does not have this bug (it was fixed by WL 3146). mysql-test/r/rpl_insert_id.result: Add results for bug#21726: Incorrect result with multiple invocations of LAST_INSERT_ID, and bug#20339: stored procedure using LAST_INSERT_ID() does not replicate statement-based. mysql-test/t/rpl_insert_id.test: Add test cases for bug#21726: Incorrect result with multiple invocations of LAST_INSERT_ID, and bug#20339: stored procedure using LAST_INSERT_ID() does not replicate statement-based. sql/item_func.cc: Add implementation of Item_func_last_insert_id::fix_fields(), where we remember in THD::current_insert_id the first value generated during execution of the previous statement, which is returned then from Item_func_last_insert_id::val_int(). sql/item_func.h: Add declaration of Item_func_last_insert_id::fix_fields(). sql/log_event.cc: Do not set THD::last_insert_id_used on LAST_INSERT_ID_EVENT. Though we know the statement will call LAST_INSERT_ID(), it wasn't called yet. sql/set_var.cc: In sys_var_last_insert_id::value_ptr() remember in THD::current_insert_id the first value generated during execution of the previous statement, and return this value for @@LAST_INSERT_ID. sql/sql_class.cc: Reset THD::last_insert_id_used after each statement execution. sql/sql_class.h: Rather then remember current insert_id value on first invocation of THD::insert_id(), remember it in Item_func_last_insert_id::fix_fields(), sys_var_last_insert_id::value_ptr(), or mysql_execute_command(). Remove THD::insert_id(), as it lost its value now. sql/sql_insert.cc: THD::insert_id() is removed, use THD::last_insert_id directly. sql/sql_load.cc: THD::insert_id() is removed, using THD::last_insert_id directly is OK. sql/sql_parse.cc: Remember in THD::current_insert_id first generated insert id value of the previous statement in mysql_execute_command(). No need to reset THD::last_insert_id_used in mysql_reset_thd_for_next_command(), it will be reset after each statement. sql/sql_select.cc: If "IS NULL" is replaced with "= <LAST_INSERT_ID>", use right value, which is THD::current_insert_id, and also set THD::last_insert_id_used to issue binary log LAST_INSERT_ID_EVENT. sql/sql_update.cc: THD::insert_id() is removed, use THD::last_insert_id directly. tests/mysql_client_test.c: Add test case for bug#21726: Incorrect result with multiple invocations of LAST_INSERT_ID. |

Fix for BUG#11151 "LOAD DATA INFILE commits transaction in 5.0".
In 5.0 we made LOAD DATA INFILE autocommit in all engines, while only NDB wanted that. Users and trainers complained that it affected InnoDB and was a change compared to 4.1 where only NDB autocommitted. To revert to the behaviour of 4.1, we move the autocommit logic out of mysql_load() into ha_ndbcluster::external_lock(). The result is that LOAD DATA INFILE commits all uncommitted changes of NDB if this is an NDB table, its own changes if this is an NDB table, but does not affect other engines. Note: even though there is no "commit the full transaction at end" anymore, LOAD DATA INFILE stays disabled in routines (re-entrency problems per a comment of Pem). Note: ha_ndbcluster::has_transactions() does not give reliable results because it says "yes" even if transactions are disabled in this engine... sql/ha_ndbcluster.cc: NDB wants to do autocommit if this is LOAD DATA INFILE. For this to not affect all other engines, we move the logic inside ha_ndbcluster. sql/sql_load.cc: This ha_enable_transaction() in mysql_load() forced an autocommit in all engines, while only NDB wants to do that. So we move the logic inside ha_ndbcluster.cc. mysql-test/include/loaddata_autocom.inc: test for engines to see if they autocommit or not in LOAD DATA INFILE mysql-test/r/loaddata_autocom_innodb.result: result for InnoDB (no autocommit) mysql-test/r/loaddata_autocom_ndb.result: result for NDB (autocommit) mysql-test/r/rpl_ndb_innodb_trans.result: result for InnoDB+NDB transactions. Observe that when ROLLBACK cannot rollback the LOAD DATA INFILE in NDB it issues warning 1196 as appropriate. mysql-test/t/loaddata_autocom_innodb.test: test that InnoDB does not autocommit in LOAD DATA INFILE. mysql-test/t/loaddata_autocom_ndb.test: test that NDB does autocommit in LOAD DATA INFIL mysql-test/t/rpl_ndb_innodb_trans-slave.opt: need to tell the slave to use innodb mysql-test/t/rpl_ndb_innodb_trans.test: test of transactions mixing NDB and InnoDB. To see if ROLLBACK rolls back in both engines, with the exception of LOAD DATA INFILE which does not roll back NDB: we see that a LOAD DATA INFILE in NDB commits all what has been done in NDB so far, commits its changes, but does not commit in other engines. |

Fixed bug#21261: Wrong access rights was required for an insert into a view
SELECT right instead of INSERT right was required for an insert into to a view. This wrong behaviour appeared after the fix for bug #20989. Its intention was to ask only SELECT right for all tables except the very first for a complex INSERT query. But that patch has done it in a wrong way and lead to asking a wrong access right for an insert into a view. The setup_tables_and_check_access() function now accepts two want_access parameters. One will be used for the first table and the second for other tables. mysql-test/t/view.test: Added a test case for bug#21261: Wrong access rights was required for an insert into a view mysql-test/r/view.result: Added a test case for bug#21261: Wrong access rights was required for an insert into a view sql/sql_update.cc: Fixed bug#21261: Wrong access rights was required for an insert into a view Modified to use updated setup_tables_and_check_access() function. sql/sql_select.cc: Fixed bug#21261: Wrong access rights was required for an insert into a view Modified to use updated setup_tables_and_check_access() function. sql/sql_load.cc: Fixed bug#21261: Wrong access rights was required for an insert into a view Modified to use updated setup_tables_and_check_access() function. sql/sql_insert.cc: Fixed bug#21261: Wrong access rights was required for an insert into a view Modified to use updated setup_tables_and_check_access() function. sql/sql_delete.cc: Fixed bug#21261: Wrong access rights was required for an insert into a view Modified to use updated setup_tables_and_check_access() function. sql/sql_base.cc: Fixed bug#21261: Wrong access rights was required for an insert into a view The setup_tables_and_check_access() function now accepts two want_access parameters. One will be used for the first table and the second for other tables. sql/mysql_priv.h: Fixed bug#21261: Wrong access rights was required for an insert into a view The setup_tables_and_check_access() function now accepts two want_access parameters. |

Fix for bug#18437 "Wrong values inserted with a before update trigger on
NDB table". SQL-layer was not marking fields which were used in triggers as such. As result these fields were not always properly retrieved/stored by handler layer. So one might got wrong values or lost changes in triggers for NDB, Federated and possibly InnoDB tables. This fix solves the problem by marking fields used in triggers appropriately. Also this patch contains the following cleanup of ha_ndbcluster code: We no longer rely on reading LEX::sql_command value in handler in order to determine if we can enable optimization which allows us to handle REPLACE statement in more efficient way by doing replaces directly in write_row() method without reporting error to SQL-layer. Instead we rely on SQL-layer informing us whether this optimization applicable by calling handler::extra() method with HA_EXTRA_WRITE_CAN_REPLACE flag. As result we no longer apply this optimzation in cases when it should not be used (e.g. if we have on delete triggers on table) and use in some additional cases when it is applicable (e.g. for LOAD DATA REPLACE). Finally this patch includes fix for bug#20728 "REPLACE does not work correctly for NDB table with PK and unique index". This was yet another problem which was caused by improper field mark-up. During row replacement fields which weren't explicity used in REPLACE statement were not marked as fields to be saved (updated) so they have retained values from old row version. The fix is to mark all table fields as set for REPLACE statement. Note that in 5.1 we already solve this problem by notifying handler that it should save values from all fields only in case when real replacement happens. include/my_base.h: Added HA_EXTRA_WRITE_CAN_REPLACE, HA_EXTRA_WRITE_CANNOT_REPLACE - new parameters for ha_extra() method. We use them to inform handler that write_row() which tries to insert new row into the table and encounters some already existing row with same primary/unique key can replace old row with new row instead of reporting error. mysql-test/r/federated.result: Additional test for bug#18437 "Wrong values inserted with a before update trigger on NDB table". mysql-test/r/ndb_replace.result: Added test for bug #20728 "REPLACE does not work correctly for NDB table with PK and unique index". Updated wrong results from older test. mysql-test/t/federated.test: Additional test for bug#18437 "Wrong values inserted with a before update trigger on NDB table". mysql-test/t/ndb_replace.test: Added test for bug #20728 "REPLACE does not work correctly for NDB table with PK and unique index". sql/ha_ndbcluster.cc: We no longer rely on reading LEX::sql_command value in handler in order to determine if we can enable optimization which allows us to handle REPLACE statement in more efficient way by doing replaces directly in write_row() method without reporting error to SQL-layer. Instead we rely on SQL-layer informing us whether this optimization applicable by calling handler::extra() method with HA_EXTRA_WRITE_CAN_REPLACE flag. As result we no longer apply this optimization in cases when it should not be used (e.g. if we have on delete triggers on table) and use in some additional cases when it is applicable (e.g. for LOAD DATA REPLACE). sql/item.cc: Item_trigger_field::setup_field(): Added comment explaining why we don't set Field::query_id in this method. sql/mysql_priv.h: mysql_alter_table() function no longer takes handle_duplicates argument. Added declaration of mark_fields_used_by_triggers_for_insert_stmt() function. sql/sql_delete.cc: Mark fields which are used by ON DELETE triggers so handler will retrieve values for these fields. sql/sql_insert.cc: Explicitly inform handler that we are doing REPLACE (using ha_extra() method) in cases when it can promote insert operation done by write_row() to replace. Also when we do REPLACE we want to store values for all columns so we should inform handler about it. Finally we should mark fields used by ON UPDATE/ON DELETE triggers as such so handler can properly retrieve/restore values in these fields during execution of REPLACE and INSERT ... ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE statements. sql/sql_load.cc: Explicitly inform handler that we are doing LOAD DATA REPLACE (using ha_extra() method) in cases when it can promote insert operation done by write_row() to replace. Also when we do replace we want to save (replace) values for all columns so we should inform handler about it. Finally to properly execute LOAD DATA for table with triggers we should mark fields used by ON INSERT triggers as such so handler can properly store values for these fields. sql/sql_parse.cc: mysql_alter_table() function no longer takes handle_duplicates argument. sql/sql_table.cc: Got rid of handle_duplicates argument in mysql_alter_table() and copy_data_between_tables() functions. These functions were always called with handle_duplicates == DUP_ERROR and thus contained dead (and probably incorrect) code. sql/sql_trigger.cc: Added Table_triggers_list::mark_fields_used() method which is used to mark fields read/set by triggers as such so handlers will be able properly retrieve/store values in these fields. sql/sql_trigger.h: Table_triggers_list: Added mark_fields_used() method which is used to mark fields read/set by triggers as such so handlers will be able properly retrieve/store values in these fields. To implement this method added 'trigger_fields' member which is array of lists linking items for all fields used in triggers grouped by event and action time. sql/sql_update.cc: Mark fields which are used by ON UPDATE triggers so handler will retrieve and save values for these fields. mysql-test/r/ndb_trigger.result: Added test for bug#18437 "Wrong values inserted with a before update trigger on NDB table". mysql-test/t/ndb_trigger.test: Added test for bug#18437 "Wrong values inserted with a before update trigger on NDB table". |

BUG#18681: View privileges are broken
The check for view security was lacking several points : 1. Check with the right set of permissions : for each table ref that participates in a view there were the right credentials to use in it's security_ctx member, but these weren't used for checking the credentials. This makes hard enforcing the SQL SECURITY DEFINER|INVOKER property consistently. 2. Because of the above the security checking for views was just ruled out in explicit ways in several places. 3. The security was checked only for the columns of the tables that are brought into the query from a view. So if there is no column reference outside of the view definition it was not detecting the lack of access to the tables in the view in SQL SECURITY INVOKER mode. The fix below tries to fix the above 3 points. mysql-test/r/grant.result: removed nondeterminism (unspecified order) in some test output mysql-test/r/view_grant.result: Somewhat extended test case for the bug and similar queries. mysql-test/t/grant.test: removed nondeterminism (unspecified order) in some test output mysql-test/t/view_grant.test: Somewhat extended test case for the bug and similar queries. sql/mysql_priv.h: A wrapper for setup_tables that also checks access to the tables sql/sql_acl.cc: removed artificial security check stop and used the table ref's credentials. sql/sql_base.cc: a wrapper for setup_tables to check access to the tables sql/sql_delete.cc: wrapper called. sql/sql_insert.cc: wrapper called sql/sql_load.cc: wrapper called sql/sql_parse.cc: wrapper called and artificial check stop removed sql/sql_select.cc: wrapper called sql/sql_update.cc: wrapper called sql/table.cc: Mask table access to the view error as well. |

Proposed fix for bug #17764 "Trigger crashes MyISAM table"
A table with an on insert trigger was reported as crashed when the insert was processed with bulk insert mode on (handler::start_bulk_insert). The trigger was also selecting from the same table, and that caused the "crash". The same problem was present when an insert statement, which was processed in bulk mode, also used a stored function that was reading the same table. This fix disables bulk inserts if a statement uses functions or invokes triggers. Implementing more granular checks will require much more code and therefore can hardly be done in 5.0 mysql-test/r/trigger.result: Added test bug #17764 "Trigger crashes MyISAM table". mysql-test/t/trigger.test: Added test bug #17764 "Trigger crashes MyISAM table". sql/sql_insert.cc: We should not start bulk inserts for INSERT (or similar) statement if it uses functions or invokes triggers since they may access to the same table and therefore should not see its inconsistent state created by this optimization. sql/sql_load.cc: We should not start bulk inserts for INSERT (or similar) statement if it uses functions or invokes triggers since they may access to the same table and therefore should not see its inconsistent state created by this optimization. |

Implementation of WL#2486 -
"Process NATURAL and USING joins according to SQL:2003". * Some of the main problems fixed by the patch: - in "select *" queries the * expanded correctly according to ANSI for arbitrary natural/using joins - natural/using joins are correctly transformed into JOIN ... ON for any number/nesting of the joins. - column references are correctly resolved against natural joins of any nesting and combined with arbitrary other joins. * This patch also contains a fix for name resolution of items inside the ON condition of JOIN ... ON - in this case items must be resolved only against the JOIN operands. To support such 'local' name resolution, the patch introduces a stack of name resolution contexts used at parse time. NOTICE: - This patch is not complete in the sense that - there are 2 test cases that still do not pass - one in join.test, one in select.test. Preparatory (and the most problematic) patch for Bug#7306
"the server side preparedStatement error for LIMIT placeholder", which moves all uses of LIMIT clause from PREPARE to OPTIMIZE and later steps. After-review fixes. mysql-test/r/group_min_max.result: Test results fixed for EXPLAINs when using GROUP_MIN_MAX access plan. sql/item_subselect.cc: Move setting of the internal LIMIT used for IN/ALL/ANY/EXISTS subqueries to one place: Item_exists_subselect::fix_length_and_dec(). This implies that unit->select_limit_cnt is not set until the item is fixed. This is OK, as now LIMIT values are not used until JOIN::optimize. sql/mysql_priv.h: setup_tables no longer needs a special flag for the case when it's called from JOIN::reinit() (we don't need to call setup_tables between two executions of a correlated subquery). sql/opt_range.cc: Fix a glitch in GROUP_MIN_MAX access plan: we should use table metadata, not field data, to evaluate max_used_key_length, which is then used for explain. sql/sp.cc: - setup_tables signature changed. sql/sql_base.cc: - setup_tables no longer needs a special mode for subqueries. Unused checks were removed. sql/sql_delete.cc: - setup_tables signature changed sql/sql_help.cc: - setup_tables signature changed sql/sql_insert.cc: - setup_tables signature changed sql/sql_lex.cc: Consolidate setting of internal LIMIT for IN/ALL/ANY/EXISTS subqeries in one place, and hence remove it from st_select_lex::test_limit(). sql/sql_lex.h: Cleanup signature of st_select_lex_unit::init_prepare_fake_select_lex(). sql/sql_load.cc: - setup_tables signature changed sql/sql_olap.cc: - setup_tables signature changed sql/sql_parse.cc: - st_select_lex_unit::set_limit() signature changed sql/sql_select.cc: Move setting of JOIN::select_limit from JOIN::prepare to JOIN::optimize. At prepare, limit is unknown yet. Remove excessive cleanups from JOIN::reinit which were overwriting join->join_tab[i]->table->used_keys. This fixes the bug which was triggered by the change in item_subselect.cc. sql/sql_union.cc: Class st_select_lex_unit was changed to avoid calls to st_select_lex_unit::set_limit from places where it may be unknown. Now unit->select_limit_cnt is set at ::exec(). st_select_lex_unit::init_prepare_fake_select_lex(): - move out set_limit functionality - remove a few lines of dead code. st_select_lex_unit::prepare(): - now we don't call set_limit at the time of prepare, so the value of unit->select_limit_cnt may be unknown here. Use sl->select_limit instead. st_select_lex_unit::exec(): - cleanup - call set_limit explicitly as it has been moved out of init_prepare_fake_select_lex. sql/sql_update.cc: - setup_tables signature changed |

Fix for bugs:
#5860 "Multi-table UPDATE does not activate update triggers" #6812 "Triggers are not activated for INSERT ... SELECT" #8755 "Trigger is not activated by LOAD DATA". This patch also implements proper handling of triggers for special forms of insert like REPLACE or INSERT ... ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE. Also now we don't call after trigger in case when we have failed to inserted/update or delete row. Trigger failure should stop statement execution. I have not properly tested handling of errors which happen inside of triggers in this patch, since it is simplier to do this once we will be able to access tables from triggers. mysql-test/r/trigger.result: Added tests for triggers behavior for various non-standard forms of INSERT such as REPLACE and INSERT ... ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE. Also added tests for bugs #5860 "Multi-table UPDATE does not activate update triggers", #6812 "Triggers are not activated for INSERT ... SELECT" and #8755 "Trigger is not activated by LOAD DATA". mysql-test/t/trigger.test: Added tests for triggers behavior for various non-standard forms of INSERT such as REPLACE and INSERT ... ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE. Also added tests for bugs #5860 "Multi-table UPDATE does not activate update triggers", #6812 "Triggers are not activated for INSERT ... SELECT" and #8755 "Trigger is not activated by LOAD DATA". sql/item.cc: Since it turned out that at trigger loading time we can't say in which buffer TABLE::record[0] or record[1] old version of row will be stored we have to change our approach to binding of Item_trigger_field to Field instances. Now after trigger parsing (in Item_trigger_field::setup_table()) we only find index of proper Field in the TABLE::field array. Then before trigger is invoked we set Table_triggers_list::old_field/new_field so they point to arrays holding Field instances bound to buffers with proper row versions. And as last step in Item_trigger_field::fix_fields() we get pointer to Field from those arrays using saved field index. Item_trigger_field::setup_field()/fix_fields() were changed to implement this approach. sql/item.h: Since it turned out that at trigger loading time we can't say in which buffer TABLE::record[0] or record[1] old version of row will be stored we have to change our approach to binding of Item_trigger_field to Field instances. Item_trigger_field: - Added field_idx member to store index of Field object corresponding to this Item in TABLE::field array. - Added triggers member to be able to access to parent Table_trigger_list object from fix_fields() method. - setup_field() no longer needs to know for which type of event this trigger is, since it does not make decision Field for which buffer (record[0] or record[1] is appropriate for this Item_trigger_field) sql/mysql_priv.h: Added fill_record_n_invoke_before_triggers() methods. They are simple wrappers around fill_record() which invoke proper before trigger right after filling record with values. sql/sql_base.cc: Added fill_record_n_invoke_before_triggers() methods. They are simple wrappers around fill_record() which invoke proper before trigger right after filling record with values. sql/sql_delete.cc: mysql_delete(): Now we stop statement execution if one of triggers failed, we also don't execute after delete trigger if we failed to delete row from the table (We also pass information about which buffer contains old version of row to process_triggers()). multi_delete::send_data()/do_deletes(): Now we also invoke triggers in case of multi-delete. sql/sql_insert.cc: mysql_insert(): Moved invocation of before triggers to fill_record_n_invoke_before_triggers() method. After triggers are now executed as part of write_record(). (as nice side effect now we also stop statement execution if one of triggers fail). write_record(): Invoke after insert trigger after performing insert. Also invoke proper triggers if insert is converted to update or conflicting row is deleted. Cleaned up error handling a bit - no sense to report error via handler::print_error if it was not generated by handler method and was reported before. Also now we will execute after trigger only if we really have written row to the table. select_insert::send_data()/store_values(): We should also execute INSERT triggers for INSERT ... SELECT statement. sql/sql_load.cc: read_fixed_length()/read_sep_field(): We should execute INSERT triggers when processing LOAD DATA statement. Small cleanup in auto-increment related code. Also moved check for thd->killed which is used to abort LOAD DATA in case of problems in 'traditional' mode to better place.. sql/sql_trigger.cc: Since it turned out that at trigger loading time we can't say in which buffer TABLE::record[0] or record[1] old version of row will be stored we have to change our approach to binding of Item_trigger_field to Field instances. Table_triggers_list methods were changed to implement this approach (see also comments for sql_trigger.h). sql/sql_trigger.h: Since it turned out that at trigger loading time we can't say in which buffer TABLE::record[0] or record[1] old version of row will be stored we have to change our approach to binding of Item_trigger_field to Field instances. Changed Table_triggers_list to implement this new approach: - Added record1_field member to store array of Field objects bound to TABLE::record[1] buffer (instead of existing old_field member) - Added new_field member and changed meaning of old_field member. During trigger execution they should point to arrays of Field objects bound to buffers holding new and old versions of row respectively. - Added 'table' member to be able to get access to TABLE instance (for which this trigger list object was created) from process_triggers() method. - Now process_triggers() method sets old_field and new_field members properly before executing triggers body (basing on new old_row_is_record1 parameter value). - Renamed prepare_old_row_accessors_method() to prepare_record1_accessors() Also added has_before_update_triggers() method which allows to check whenever any before update triggers exist for table. sql/sql_update.cc: mysql_update(): Now we invoke before triggers in fill_record_n_invoke_before_triggers() method. Also now we abort statement execution when one of triggers fail. safe_update_on_fly(): When we are trying to understand if we can update first table in multi update on the fly we should take into account that BEFORE UPDATE trigger can change field values. multi_update::send_data()/do_updates() We should execute proper triggers when doing multi-update (in both cases when we do it on the fly and using temporary tables). |

This saves one byte per Query_log_event on disk compared to 5.0.[0..3]. Compatibility problems with 5.0.x where x<4 are explained in the comments in log_event.cc. Putting back s/my_open(O_TRUNC)/(my_delete+my_create) change which had been wiped away by somebody doing a wrong 4.1->5.0 merge (which happened just before 5.0.3 :( ). Applying it to new events for LOAD DATA INFILE. If slave fails in Execute_load_query_log_event::exec_event(), don't delete the file (so that it's re-usable at next START SLAVE). And (youpi!) fix for BUG#3247 "a partially completed LOAD DATA INFILE is not executed at all on the slave" (storing an Execute_load_query_log_event to binlog, with its error code, instead of Delete_file_log_event). mysql-test/r/mix_innodb_myisam_binlog.result: we now use one less byte when storing the catalog in binlog so positions change mysql-test/r/rpl_change_master.result: we now use one less byte when storing the catalog in binlog so positions change mysql-test/r/rpl_deadlock.result: we now use one less byte when storing the catalog in binlog so positions change mysql-test/r/rpl_error_ignored_table.result: we now use one less byte when storing the catalog in binlog so positions change mysql-test/r/rpl_flush_log_loop.result: we now use one less byte when storing the catalog in binlog so positions change mysql-test/r/rpl_loaddata.result: we now use one less byte when storing the catalog in binlog so positions change. Fixed behavior of LOAD DATA with subqueries in SET clause.
The idea is to use TABLE_LIST::lock_type for passing type of lock for target table to mysql_load() instead of using LEX::lock_option (which were rewritten by first subselect in SET clause). This should also fix potential problem with LOAD DATA in SP (it is important for them to have right lock_type in the table list by the end of statement parsing). mysql-test/r/loaddata.result: Added nice test for LOAD DATA with subquery. mysql-test/t/loaddata.test: Added nice test for LOAD DATA with subquery. sql/log_event.cc: Now we don't pass type of lock for target table to mysql_load() explicitly . Instead we use TABLE_LIST::lock_type for this table which is already properly set here. sql/mysql_priv.h: Now we don't pass type of lock for target table to mysql_load() explicitly . Instead we properly set TABLE_LIST::lock_type for this table in parser. sql/sql_load.cc: Now we don't pass type of lock for target table to mysql_load() explicitly . Instead we properly set TABLE_LIST::lock_type for this table in parser. sql/sql_parse.cc: Now we don't pass type of lock for target table to mysql_load() explicitly . Instead we properly set TABLE_LIST::lock_type for this table in parser. sql/sql_yacc.yy: load_data: Let us use TABLE_LIST::lock_type for passing type of lock for target table to mysql_load() instead of using LEX::lock_option (which will be rewritten by first subselect in SET clause). |

WL#874 "Extended LOAD DATA".
Now one can use user variables as target for data loaded from file (besides table's columns). Also LOAD DATA got new SET-clause in which one can specify values for table columns as expressions. For example the following is possible: LOAD DATA INFILE 'words.dat' INTO TABLE t1 (a, @b) SET c = @b + 1; This patch also implements new way of replicating LOAD DATA. Now we do it similarly to other queries. We store LOAD DATA query in new Execute_load_query event (which is last in the sequence of events representing LOAD DATA). When we are executing this event we simply rewrite part of query which holds name of file (we use name of temporary file) and then execute it as usual query. In the beggining of this sequence we use Begin_load_query event which is almost identical to Append_file event client/mysqlbinlog.cc: Added support of two new binary log events Begin_load_query_log_event and Execute_load_query_log_Event which are used to replicate LOAD DATA INFILE. mysql-test/r/ctype_ucs.result: Addition of two new types of binary log events shifted binlog positions. Updated test's results and made it more robust for future similar changes. mysql-test/r/insert_select.result: Addition of two new types of binary log events shifted binlog positions. Updated test's results and made it more robust for future similar changes. mysql-test/r/loaddata.result: Added tests for new LOAD DATA features. mysql-test/r/mix_innodb_myisam_binlog.result: Addition of two new types of binary log events shifted binlog positions. Updated test's results (don't dare to get rid from binlog positions completely since it seems that this test uses them). mysql-test/r/mysqlbinlog.result: New approach for binlogging of LOAD DATA statement. Now we store it as usual query and rewrite part in which file is specified when needed. So now mysqlbinlog output for LOAD DATA much more closer to its initial form. Updated test'd results accordingly. mysql-test/r/mysqldump.result: Made test more robust to other tests failures. mysql-test/r/rpl000015.result: Addition of two new types of binary log events shifted binlog positions. Updated test accordingly and made it more robust for future similar changes. mysql-test/t/user_var.test: Addition of two new types of binary log events shifted binlog positions. Updated test accordingly and made it more robust for future similar changes. sql/item_func.cc: Added Item_user_var_as_out_param class that represents user variable which used as out parameter in LOAD DATA. Moved code from Item_func_set_user_var::update_hash() function to separate static function to be able to reuse it in this new class. sql/item_func.h: Added Item_user_var_as_out_param class that represents user variable which used as out parameter in LOAD DATA. sql/log_event.cc: New way of replicating LOAD DATA. Now we do it similarly to other queries. We store LOAD DATA query in new Execute_load_query event (which is last in the sequence of events representing LOAD DATA). When we are executing this event we simply rewrite part of query which holds name of file (we use name of temporary file) and then execute it as usual query. In the beggining of this sequence we use Begin_load_query event which is almost identical to Append_file event. sql/log_event.h: New way of replicating LOAD DATA. Now we do it similarly to other queries. We store LOAD DATA query in new Execute_load_query event (which is last in the sequence of events representing LOAD DATA). When we are executing this event we simply rewrite part of query which holds name of file (we use name of temporary file) and then execute it as usual query. In the beggining of this sequence we use Begin_load_query event which is almost identical to Append_file event. sql/mysql_priv.h: Now mysql_load() has two more arguments. They are needed to pass list of columns and corresponding expressions from new LOAD DATA's SET clause. sql/share/errmsg.txt: Added new error message which is used to forbid loading of data from fixed length rows to variables. sql/sql_lex.h: Added LEX::fname_start/fname_end members. They are pointers to part of LOAD DATA statement which should be rewritten during replication (file name + little extra). sql/sql_load.cc: Added support for extended LOAD DATA. Now one can use user variables as target for data loaded from file (besides table's columns). Also LOAD DATA got new SET-clause in which one can specify values for table columns as expressions. Updated mysql_load()/read_fixed_length()/read_sep_field() to support this functionality (now they can read data from file to both columns and variables and assign do calculations and assignments specified in SET clause). We also use new approach for LOAD DATA binlogging/replication. sql/sql_parse.cc: mysql_execute_command(): Since now we have SET clause in LOAD DATA we should also check permissions for tables used in its expressions. Also mysql_load() has two more arguments to pass information about this clause. sql/sql_repl.cc: New way of replicating LOAD DATA. Now we do it similarly to other queries. We store LOAD DATA query in new Execute_load_query event (which is last in the sequence of events representing LOAD DATA). When we are executing this event we simply rewrite part of query which holds name of file (we use name of temporary file) and then execute it as usual query. In the beggining of this sequence we use Begin_load_query event which is almost identical to Append_file event. sql/sql_repl.h: struct st_load_file_info: Removed memebers which are no longer needed for LOAD DATA binnlogging. sql/sql_yacc.yy: Added support for extended LOAD DATA syntax. Now one can use user variables as target for data loaded from file (besides table's columns). Also LOAD DATA got new SET-clause in which one can specify values for table columns as expressions. For example the following is possible: LOAD DATA INFILE 'words.dat' INTO TABLE t1 (a, @b) SET c = @b + 1; Also now we save pointers to the beginning and to the end of part of LOAD DATA statement which should be rewritten during replication. |
