2e23c7342f MDEV-34567 unit.my_apc always failing on FreeBSD-14
Without the call to my_mutex_init, the mutex attributes
my_fast_mutexattr and my_errorcheck_mutexattr are uninitialized.

Linux tolerates this but FreeBSD doesn't (and segfaults).

We fix for all since the unit text should be testing the
standard mutexes of the system.

0ccdf54b64 Check and remove high stack usage
I checked all stack overflow potential problems found with
gcc -Wstack-usage=16384
and
clang -Wframe-larger-than=16384 -no-inline

Fixes:
Added '#pragma clang diagnostic ignored "-Wframe-larger-than="'
  to a lot of function to where stack usage large but resonable.
- Added stack check warnings to BUILD scrips when using clang and debug.

Function changed to use malloc instead allocating things on stack:
- read_bootstrap_query() now allocates line_buffer (20000 bytes) with
  malloc() instead of using stack. This has a small performance impact
  but this is not releant for bootstrap.
- mroonga grn_select() used 65856 bytes on stack. Changed it to use
  malloc().
- Wsrep_schema::replay_transaction() and
  Wsrep_schema::recover_sr_transactions().
- Connect zipOpen3()

Not fixed:
- mroonga/vendor/groonga/lib/expr.c grn_proc_call() uses
  43712 byte on stack. However this is not easy to fix as the stack
  used is caused by a lot of code generated by defines.
- Most changes in mroonga/groonga where only adding of pragmas to disable
  stack warnings.
- rocksdb/options/options_helper.cc uses 20288 of stack space.
  (no reason to fix except to get rid of the compiler warning)
- Causes using alloca() where the allocation size is resonable.
- An issue in libmariadb (reported to connectors).

2a4c573339 MDEV-32728: Wrong mutex usage 'LOCK_thd_data' and 'wait_mutex'
Checking for kill with thd_kill_level() or check_killed() runs apc
requests, which takes the LOCK_thd_kill mutex. But this is dangerous,
as checking for kill needs to be called while holding many different
mutexes, and can lead to cyclic mutex dependency and deadlock.

But running apc is only "best effort", so skip running the apc if the
LOCK_thd_kill is not available. The apc will then be run on next check
of kill signal.

9701759b3d MDEV-23043 Refactor Windows service handling
Removed the existing nt_service classes - they provide little
abstraction, and only obscure a relatively simple service handling.
This replaces by similar code inspired by MS docs samples.

Service handling is now moved into winmain.cc, which contains
the main() function for Windows.

winmain provides reporting callbacks, which should be used by external code
,to report transitions from starting to running to shutting down to stopped.

Removed a do-nothing ServiceMain thread, and the
non-working service "pause/continue".  Removed a lot of #ifdef __WIN__
code from mysqld.cc

3d2d060b62 fix gcc 8 compiler warnings
There were two newly enabled warnings:
1. cast for a function pointers. Affected sql_analyse.h, mi_write.c
   and ma_write.cc, mf_iocache-t.cc, mysqlbinlog.cc, encryption.cc, etc

2. memcpy/memset of nontrivial structures. Fixed as:
* the warning disabled for InnoDB
* TABLE, TABLE_SHARE, and TABLE_LIST got a new method reset() which
  does the bzero(), which is safe for these classes, but any other
  bzero() will still cause a warning
* Table_scope_and_contents_source_st uses `TABLE_LIST *` (trivial)
  instead of `SQL_I_List<TABLE_LIST>` (not trivial) so it's safe to
  bzero now.
* added casts in debug_sync.cc and sql_select.cc (for JOIN)
* move assignment method for MDL_request instead of memcpy()
* PARTIAL_INDEX_INTERSECT_INFO::init() instead of bzero()
* remove constructor from READ_RECORD() to make it trivial
* replace some memcpy() with c++ copy assignments

5d48ea7d07 MDEV-10963 Fragmented BINLOG query
The problem was originally stated in
  http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=82212
The size of an base64-encoded Rows_log_event exceeds its
vanilla byte representation in 4/3 times.
When a binlogged event size is about 1GB mysqlbinlog generates
a BINLOG query that can't be send out due to its size.

It is fixed with fragmenting the BINLOG argument C-string into
(approximate) halves when the base64 encoded event is over 1GB size.
The mysqlbinlog in such case puts out

    SET @binlog_fragment_0='base64-encoded-fragment_0';
    SET @binlog_fragment_1='base64-encoded-fragment_1';
    BINLOG @binlog_fragment_0, @binlog_fragment_1;

to represent a big BINLOG.
For prompt memory release BINLOG handler is made to reset the BINLOG argument
user variables in the middle of processing, as if @binlog_fragment_{0,1} = NULL
is assigned.

Notice the 2 fragments are enough, though the client and server still may
need to tweak their @@max_allowed_packet to satisfy to the fragment
size (which they would have to do anyway with greater number of
fragments, should that be desired).

On the lower level the following changes are made:

Log_event::print_base64()
  remains to call encoder and store the encoded data into a cache but
  now *without* doing any formatting. The latter is left for time
  when the cache is copied to an output file (e.g mysqlbinlog output).
  No formatting behavior is also reflected by the change in the meaning
  of the last argument which specifies whether to cache the encoded data.

Rows_log_event::print_helper()
  is made to invoke a specialized fragmented cache-to-file copying function
  which is

copy_cache_to_file_wrapped()
  that takes care of fragmenting also optionally wraps encoded
  strings (fragments) into SQL stanzas.

my_b_copy_to_file()
  is refactored to into my_b_copy_all_to_file(). The former function
  is generalized
  to accepts more a limit argument to constraint the copying and does
  not reinitialize anymore the cache into reading mode.
  The limit does not do any effect on the fully read cache.

5b735e8f09 MDEV-17133 dump thread reads from a past position
According to logs analysis the Dump thread attempted to read again data which
was already sent. The reason of regressed read turns out in an _my_b_cache_read()
early exit branch which missed to distinguish between total zero size read (e.g
ineffective read when Count argument is zero) from a case when the
requested amount of data is fully read out by sole accessing the cache's
file. In the latter case such then *effective* reading was not
reflected in the cache's state to screw the cache's state.

Fixed with a check introduced of whether the file reading was effective prior to
early exit. When this is the case conduct standard cache state change to
account the actual read size.

Notice the bug can show up also as an error to read binlog event e.g
through BINLOG_GTID_POS() (of MDEV-16886).
