Add another test case. This one for killing the SQL driver thread while it is
waiting for room in the list of events queued for a worker thread.
Fix bugs found:
- Several memory leaks in various error cases.
- SQL error code was not set (for SHOW SLAVE STATUS etc.) when killed.
- This was done to get better performance when doing a lot of connections.
Ensure that thread_cache_size is not larger than max_connections (trivial optimizations).
Fixed that the --host_cache_size=# startup option works
mysql-test/r/variables.result:
Increase back_log to 150
sql/hostname.cc:
Fixed that the --host_cache_size=# startup option works
sql/mysqld.cc:
Ensure that back_log and thread_cache_size is not set higher than max_connections (as this would not make any sense).
sql/sys_vars.cc:
Increased back_log to 150
support ha_innodb.so as a dynamic plugin.
* remove obsolete *,innodb_plugin.rdiff files
* s/--plugin-load=/--plugin-load-add=/
* MYSQL_PLUGIN_IMPORT glob_hostname[]
* use my_error instead of push_warning_printf(ER_DEFAULT)
* don't use tdc_size and tc_size in a module
update test cases (XtraDB is 5.6.14, InnoDB is 5.6.10)
* copy new tests over
* disable some tests for (old) InnoDB
* delete XtraDB tests that no longer apply
small compatibility changes:
* s/HTON_EXTENDED_KEYS/HTON_SUPPORTS_EXTENDED_KEYS/
* revert unnecessary InnoDB changes to make it a bit closer to the upstream
fix XtraDB to compile on Windows (both as a static and a dynamic plugin)
disable XtraDB on Windows (deadlocks) and where no atomic ops are available (e.g. CentOS 5)
storage/innobase/handler/ha_innodb.cc:
revert few unnecessary changes to make it a bit closer to the original InnoDB
storage/innobase/include/univ.i:
correct the version to match what it was merged from
Add another test case. This one for killing a worker while its transaction is
waiting to start until the previous transaction has committed.
Fix setting reading_or_writing to 0 in worker threads so SHOW SLAVE STATUS can
show something more useful than "Reading from net".
The fix is to not change @relay_log_purge as part of the CHANGE MASTER.
(There is no logical reason why this is done in the current source)
mysql-test/suite/rpl/r/rpl_slave_status.result:
Ensure that CHANGE MASTER doesn't change relay_log_purge
mysql-test/suite/rpl/t/rpl_slave_status.test:
Ensure that CHANGE MASTER doesn't change relay_log_purge
sql/sql_repl.cc:
Don't change relay_log_purge in CHANGE MASTER
Add another test case.
Fix bug found: When one thread aborts, another thread might
wrongly advance the relay log position too far, causing the
fauling transaction to be skipped and thus lost upon
restarting the SQL thread after the failure.
storage/oqgraph into 10.0
- fixed sys_vars.all_vars (added oqgraph_allow_create_integer_latch_basic.test)
- since oqgraph depends on Judy, move it to a separate package
Add a test case for killing a waiting query in parallel replication.
Fix several bugs found:
- We should not wakeup_subsequent_commits() in ha_rollback_trans(), since we
do not know the right wakeup_error() to give.
- When a wait_for_prior_commit() is killed, we must unregister from the
waitee so we do not race and get an extra (non-kill) wakeup.
- We need to deal with error propagation correctly in queue_for_group_commit
when one thread is killed.
- Fix one locking issue in queue_for_group_commit(), we could unlock the
waitee lock too early and this end up processing wakeup() with insufficient
locking.
- Fix Xid_log_event::do_apply_event; if commit fails it must not update the
in-memory @@gtid_slave_pos state.
- Fix and cleanup some things in the rpl_parallel.cc error handling.
- Add a missing check for killed in the slave sql driver thread, to avoid a
race.
When a DSO is loaded we rewrite service pointers to point to the actual service structures.
But when a DSO is unloaded, we have to restore their original values, in case this DSO
wasn't removed from memory on dlclose() and is later loaded again.
when frm file exists, but the table does not.
In recover_from_failed_open(), allow the discovery
to fail without an error, when
open_strategy == TABLE_LIST::OPEN_IF_EXISTS.

MDEV-4725: Incorrect binlog state recovery if crash while writing event group
The binlog state was not recovered correctly if XA is not used (eg. InnoDB
disabled), or if server crashed in the middle of writing an event group to the
binlog.
With this patch, we ensure that recovery of binlog state is done even if we do
not do the full XA binlog recovery, and we ensure that we only recover fully
written event groups into the binlog state.
There were some places where insufficient locking between
parallel threads could cause invalid memory accesses and
possibly other grief.
This patch adds the missing locking, and moves the locking
into the struct rpl_binlog_state methods to make it easier
to see that proper locking is in place everywhere.
Fixed the following compilation errors and test failures:
- maria SE: "stage_waiting_for_a_resource" wasn't declared w/o PFS
- sql_repl.h: PSI_mutex_key is not available in non-PFS builds
- mysqld.cc: pfs_param is not available in non-PFS builds
- mysqld.cc: init_show_explain_psi_keys() is not available in non-PFS builds
- mysqld.cc: call net_before_header_psi, net_after_header_psi even if PFS
is not available so that thread enters stage_init at proper time. Fixes
sp-threads and a few tests in funcs_1.
- myisam_file_io.opt: added missing loose prefix
restore old innodb get_innobase_type_from_mysql_type() function,
record all mysql_type->innodb_type mapping
(as generated by mysql-5.6).
add safety code to disable online alter when internal types don't match
storage/innobase/dict/dict0stats.cc:
revert to 5.6 state
- Character set code & tests from Alexander Barkov
- Integration with ALTER TABLE, REPAIR and open_table from Monty
The problem was that MySQL 5.6 added some croatian and vitanamese character set collations that are incompatible with MariaDB.
The fix is to move the MariaDB conflicting collation numbers out of the region that MySQL is likely to use.
mysql_upgrade, REPAIR TABLE or ALTER TABLE will fix the collations.
If one tries to access and old incompatible table, one will get the error "Table upgrade required...."
After this patch, MariaDB supports all the MySQL character set collations and the old MariaDB croatian collations, which are closer to the latest standard than the MySQL versions.
New character sets:
ucs2_croatian_mysql561_uca_ci
utf8_croatian_mysql561_uca_ci
utf16_croatian_mysql561_uca_ci
utf32_croatian_mysql561_uca_ci
utf8mb4_croatian_mysql561_uca_ci

- thread_pool_size command line option upper limit increased to 100 000
(same as for max_connections)
- thread_pool_size system variable upper limit is maximum of 128 or
the value given at command line
- thread groups are now allocated dynamically
Different limit for command line option and system variable was done to
avoid additional mutex for all_groups and threadpool_max_size.
extend table names discovery (ha_discover_table_names() and Discovered_table_list) to return
or optionally filter out temporary tables ("#sql..."). SHOW commands and I_S tables
typically want temp table filtered out, while DROP DATABASE wants to see them too.
additonally, remove the supression for the warning "Invalid (old?) table or database name"
from mtr, and add it to .test files as needed (we need to test that this warning
does *not* happen in drop.test)
The merge is still missing a few hunks related to temporary tables and
InnoDB log file size. The associated code did not seem to exist in
10.0, so the merge of that needs more work. Until this is fixed, there
are a number of test failures as a result.
For compatibility purposes let InnoDB use DATA_INT for MYSQL_TYPE_ENUM and MYSQL_TYPE_SET.
Silence the warning for these types and let the index translation table to be built anyway.
Test case by Jeremy Cole.
In parallel replication, there are two kinds of events which are
executed in different ways.
Normal events that are part of event groups/transactions are executed
asynchroneously by being queued for a worker thread.
Other events like format description and rotate and such are executed
directly in the driver SQL thread.
If the direct execution of the other events were to update the old-style
position, then the position gets updated too far ahead, before the normal
events that have been queued for a worker thread have been executed. So
this patch adds some special cases to prevent such position updates ahead
of time, and instead queues dummy events for the worker threads, so that
they will at an appropriate time do the position updates instead.
(Also fix a race in a test case that happened to trigger while running
tests for this patch).
