ae8ff3a067 MDEV-20396 Server crashes after DELETE with SEL NULL Foreign key and a
virtual column in index

Problem:
row_ins_foreign_fill_virtual was unconditionally set virtual fields to NULL
even though the field is not a part of a foreign key
(but a part of an index)

Solution:
The new virtual value should be computed with regard to cascade updates.

97db6c15ea MDEV-20618 Assertion failed in row_upd_sec_index_entry
Add a proper error handling of innobase_get_computed_value results in
row_upd_store_row/row_upd_store_v_row.

Also add an assertion in row_vers_build_clust_v_col to fail during row
purge.
Add one more assertion in row_sel_sec_rec_is_for_clust_rec for possible
future catches.

a3d66090c7 MDEV-18366 Crash on SELECT on a table with indexed virtual columns
The problem was in improper error handling behavior in
`row_upd_build_difference_binary`:
`innobase_free_row_for_vcol` wasn't called.

To eliminate this problem in all potential places, a refactoring has been
made:
* class ib_vcol_row is added. It owns VCOL_STORAGE and heap and maintains
 it in RAII manner
* all innobase_allocate_row_for_vcol/innobase_free_row_for_vcol pairs are
 substituted
 with ib_vcol_row usage
* row_merge_buf_add is only left untouched because it doesn't own vheap
 passed as an argument
* innobase_allocate_row_for_vcol does not allocate VCOL_STORAGE anymore and
 accepts it as an argument -- this reduces a number of memory allocations
 * move rec_printer out of `#ifndef DBUG_OFF` and mark it cold

5acd391e8b MDEV-16039 Crash when selecting virtual columns generated using functions with DAYNAME()
* Allocate items on thd->mem_root while refixing vcol exprs
* Make vcol tree changes register and roll them back after the statement is executed.

Explanation:
Due to collation implementation specifics an Item tree could change while fixing.
The tricky thing here is to make it on a proper arena.
It's usually not a problem when a field is deterministic, however, makes a pain vice-versa, during allocation allocating.
A non-deterministic field should be refixed on each statement, since it depends on the environment state.
Changing the tree will be temporary and therefore it should be reverted after the statement execution.

fc58c17216 MDEV-21336 Memory leaks related to innodb_debug_sync
This essentially reverts commit b393e2cb0c.

The leak might have been fixed, but because the
DEBUG_SYNC instrumentation for InnoDB purge threads was reverted
in 10.5 commit 5e62b6a5e0
as part of introducing a thread pool, it is easiest to revert
the entire change.

dc719597ee MDEV-18156 Assertion 0' failed or btr_validate_index(index, 0, false)' in row_upd_sec_index_entry or error code 126: Index is corrupted upon DELETE with PAD_CHAR_TO_FULL_LENGTH
This change takes into account a column's GENERATED ALWAYS AS
expression dependcy on sql_mode's PAD_CHAR_TO_FULL_LENGTH and
NO_UNSIGNED_SUBTRACTION flags.

Indexed virtual columns as well as persistent generated columns are
now not allowed to have such dependencies to avoid inconsistent data
or index files on sql_mode changes.
So an error is now returned in cases like this:

  CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE t1
  (
    a CHAR(5),
    v VARCHAR(5) AS (a) PERSISTENT -- CHAR->VARCHAR or CHAR->TEXT = ERROR
  );

Functions RPAD() and RTRIM() can now remove dependency on
PAD_CHAR_TO_FULL_LENGTH. So this can be used instead:

  CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE t1
  (
    a CHAR(5),
    v VARCHAR(5) AS (RTRIM(a)) PERSISTENT
  );

Note, unlike CHAR->VARCHAR and CHAR->TEXT this still works,
not RPAD(a) is needed:

  CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE t1
  (
    a CHAR(5),
    v CHAR(5) AS (a) PERSISTENT -- CHAR->CHAR is OK
  );

More sql_mode flags may affect values of generated columns.
They will be addressed separately.

See comments in sql_mode.h for implementation details.

9cba6c5aa3 Updated mtr files to support different compiled in options
This allows one to run the test suite even if any of the following
options are changed:
- character-set-server
- collation-server
- join-cache-level
- log-basename
- max-allowed-packet
- optimizer-switch
- query-cache-size and query-cache-type
- skip-name-resolve
- table-definition-cache
- table-open-cache
- Some innodb options
etc

Changes:
- Don't print out the value of system variables as one can't depend on
  them to being constants.
- Don't set global variables to 'default' as the default may not
  be the same as the test was started with if there was an additional
  option file. Instead save original value and reset it at end of test.
- Test that depends on the latin1 character set should include
  default_charset.inc or set the character set to latin1
- Test that depends on the original optimizer switch, should include
  default_optimizer_switch.inc
- Test that depends on the value of a specific system variable should
  set it in the test (like optimizer_use_condition_selectivity)
- Split subselect3.test into subselect3.test and subselect3.inc to
  make it easier to set and reset system variables.
- Added .opt files for test that required specfic options that could
  be changed by external configuration files.
- Fixed result files in rockdsb & tokudb that had not been updated for
  a while.

8ce702aa90 MDEV-17540 Server crashes in row_purge after TRUNCATE TABLE
row_purge_upd_exist_or_extern_func(): Check for node->vcol_op_failed()
after row_purge_remove_sec_if_poss(), like row_purge_del_mark() did.
This avoids us dereferencing the node->table=NULL pointer.

The test case, submitted by Elena Stepanova, is not deterministic and
does not repeat the bug on 10.2. With the added loop, for me, it reliably
crashes 10.3 without the fix. I was unable to create a deterministic
test case for either 10.2 or 10.3.

row_build_index_entry_low(): ext does not contain virtual columns.

This is based on the following fix in MySQL 5.7.24:

commit 4ec2158bec73f1582501c4b3e3de250fed9edc9a
Author: Sachin Agarwal <sachin.z.agarwal@oracle.com>
Date:   Fri Aug 24 14:44:13 2018 +0530

    Bug #27968952 INNODB CRASH/CORRUPTION WITH TEXT PREFIX INDEXES

    Problem:
    There are two problems:
      1. If there is one secondary index on extenally
    stored column and another seconday index on virtual column (whose
    base column is not externally stored). then while updating seconday
    index on vitrual column, virtual column data is replaced by
    externally stoared column.
      2. In row update operation, node->row contains
    shallow copy of virtual data fields. While building an update vector
    containing all the fields to be modified, compute virtual column.
    which may causes change in virtual data fields in node->row.

    In both the above cases, while updating seconday index on virtual
    column, couldn't find the row and hit an explicite assert inside
    ROW_NOT_FOUND.

    Fix:
    1. Added check if column is virtual then its ext flag should be ZERO
    and virtual column data will not be replaced by offset column data.
    2. Deep copy of virtual data fields for node->row.

6319c0b541 MDEV-13564: Replace innodb_unsafe_truncate with innodb_safe_truncate
Rename the 10.2-specific configuration option innodb_unsafe_truncate

3448ceb02a MDEV-13564: Implement innodb_unsafe_truncate=ON for compatibility
While MariaDB Server 10.2 is not really guaranteed to be compatible
with Percona XtraBackup 2.4 (for example, the MySQL 5.7 undo log format
change that could be present in XtraBackup, but was reverted from
MariaDB in MDEV-12289), we do not want to disrupt users who have
deployed xtrabackup and MariaDB Server 10.2 in their environments.

With this change, MariaDB 10.2 will continue to use the backup-unsafe
TRUNCATE TABLE code, so that neither the undo log nor the redo log
formats will change in an incompatible way.

Undo tablespace truncation will keep using the redo log only. Recovery
or backup with old code will fail to shrink the undo tablespace files,
but the contents will be recovered just fine.

In the MariaDB Server 10.2 series only, we introduce the configuration
parameter innodb_unsafe_truncate and make it ON by default. To allow
MariaDB Backup (mariabackup) to work properly with TRUNCATE TABLE
operations, use loose_innodb_unsafe_truncate=OFF.

MariaDB Server 10.3.10 and later releases will always use the
backup-safe TRUNCATE TABLE, and this parameter will not be
added there.

recv_recovery_rollback_active(): Skip row_mysql_drop_garbage_tables()
unless innodb_unsafe_truncate=OFF. It is too unsafe to drop orphan
tables if RENAME operations are not transactional within InnoDB.
