We need to release global system variables mutex before
doing wsrep_init to avoid race with next show status and
we need to save wsrep_on value as it is changed on wsrep_init.
Added test case.
Support for galera GTID consistency thru cluster. All nodes in cluster
should have same GTID for replicated events which are originating from cluster.
Cluster originating commands need to contain sequential WSREP GTID seqno
Ignore manual setting of gtid_seq_no=X.
In master-slave scenario where master is non galera node replicated GTID is
replicated and is preserved in all nodes.
To have this - domain_id, server_id and seqnos should be same on all nodes.
Node which bootstraps the cluster, to achieve this, sends domain_id and
server_id to other nodes and this combination is used to write GTID for events
that are replicated inside cluster.
Cluster nodes that are executing non replicated events are going to have different
GTID than replicated ones, difference will be visible in domain part of gtid.
With wsrep_gtid_domain_id you can set domain_id for WSREP cluster.
Functions WSREP_LAST_WRITTEN_GTID, WSREP_LAST_SEEN_GTID and
WSREP_SYNC_WAIT_UPTO_GTID now works with "native" GTID format.
Fixed galera tests to reflect this chances.
Add variable to manually update WSREP GTID seqno in cluster
Add variable to manipulate and change WSREP GTID seqno. Next command
originating from cluster and on same thread will have set seqno and
cluster should change their internal counter to it's value.
Behavior is same as using @@gtid_seq_no for non WSREP transaction.
Problem was that tests select INFORMATION_SCHEMA.PROCESSLIST processes
from user system user and empty state. Thus, there is not clear
state for slave threads.
Changes:
- Added new status variables that store current amount of applier threads
(wsrep_applier_thread_count) and rollbacker threads
(wsrep_rollbacker_thread_count). This will make clear how many slave threads
of certain type there is.
- Added THD state "wsrep applier idle" when applier slave thread is
waiting for work. This makes finding slave/applier threads easier.
- Added force-restart option for mtr to always restart servers between tests
to avoid race on start of the test
- Added wait_condition_with_debug to wait until the passed statement returns
true, or the operation times out. If operation times out, the additional error
statement will be executed

Refactored wsrep patch to not use LOCK_thread_count and COND_thread_count anymore.
This has partially been replaced by using old LOCK_wsrep_slave_threads mutex.
For slave thread count change waiting, new COND_wsrep_slave_threads signal has been added
Added LOCK_wsrep_cluster_config mutex to control that cluster address change cannot happen in parallel
Protected wsrep_slave_threads variable changes with LOCK_cluster_config mutex
This is for avoiding concurrent slave thread count and cluster joining operations to happen
Fixes according to Teemu's review
Global variable wsrep_debug now can be used to filter wsrep-lib messages based on debug level provided.
Type of wsrep_debug is now set to be unsigned int, so tests and configuration files changed accordingly.
Problem was that controlling connection i.e. connection that
executed the query SET GLOBAL wsrep_reject_queries = ALL_KILL;
was also killed but server would try to send result from that
query to controlling connection resulting a assertion
mysqld: /home/jan/mysql/10.2-sst/include/mysql/psi/mysql_socket.h:738: inline_mysql_socket_send: Assertion `mysql_socket.fd != -1' failed.
as socket was closed when controlling connection was closed.
wsrep_close_client_connections()
Do not close controlling connection and instead of
wsrep_close_thread() we do now soft kill by THD::awake
wsrep_reject_queries_update()
Call wsrep_close_client_connections using current thd.

MDEV-17058: Test failure on wsrep.variables
MDEV-17060: Test failure on galera.galera_var_slave_threads
Fix incorrect calculation of increased applier (slave) threads.
Note that increase change takes effect "immediately" but we should
use proper wait condition to wait it. Reducing the number of
slave threads is not immediate as thread will only exit after a
replication event.

Also, allow the MariaDB 10.2 server to link InnoDB dynamically
against ha_innodb.so (which is what mysql-test-run.pl expects
to exist, instead of the default name ha_innobase.so).
wsrep_load_data_split(): Instead of referring to innodb_hton_ptr,
check the handlerton::db_type. This was recently broken by me in
MDEV-11415.
innodb_lock_schedule_algorithm: Define as a weak global symbol,
so that WITH_WSREP will not depend on InnoDB being linked statically.
I tested this manually. Notably, running a test that only does
SET GLOBAL wsrep_on=1;
with a static or dynamic InnoDB and
./mtr --mysqld=--loose-innodb-lock-schedule-algorithm=fcfs
will crash with SIGSEGV at shutdown. With the default VATS
combination the wsrep_on is properly refused for both the
static and dynamic InnoDB.
ha_close_connection(): Do invoke the method also for plugins
for which UNINSTALL PLUGIN was deferred due to open connections.
Thanks to @svoj for pointing this out.
thd_to_trx(): Return a pointer, not a reference to a pointer.
check_trx_exists(): Invoke thd_set_ha_data() for assigning a transaction.
log_write_checkpoint_info(): Remove an unused DEBUG_SYNC point
that would cause an assertion failure on shutdown after deferred
UNINSTALL PLUGIN.
This was tested as follows:
cmake -DWITH_WSREP=1 -DPLUGIN_INNOBASE:STRING=DYNAMIC \
-DWITH_MARIABACKUP:BOOL=OFF ...
make
cd mysql-test
./mtr innodb.innodb_uninstall
This was done in, among other things:
- thd->db and thd->db_length
- TABLE_LIST tablename, db, alias and schema_name
- Audit plugin database name
- lex->db
- All db and table names in Alter_table_ctx
- st_select_lex db
Other things:
- Changed a lot of functions to take const LEX_CSTRING* as argument
for db, table_name and alias. See init_one_table() as an example.
- Changed some function arguments from LEX_CSTRING to const LEX_CSTRING
- Changed some lists from LEX_STRING to LEX_CSTRING
- threads_mysql.result changed because process list_db wasn't always
correctly updated
- New append_identifier() function that takes LEX_CSTRING* as arguments
- Added new element tmp_buff to Alter_table_ctx to separate temp name
handling from temporary space
- Ensure we store the length after my_casedn_str() of table/db names
- Removed not used version of rename_table_in_stat_tables()
- Changed Natural_join_column::table_name and db_name() to never return
NULL (used for print)
- thd->get_db() now returns db as a printable string (thd->db.str or "")
Other things, mainly to get
create_mysqld_error_find_printf_error tool to work:
- Added protection to not include mysqld_error.h twice
- Include "unireg.h" instead of "mysqld_error.h" in server
- Added protection if ER_XX messages are already defined
- Removed wrong calls to my_error(ER_OUTOFMEMORY) as
my_malloc() and my_alloc will do this automatically
- Added missing %s to ER_DUP_QUERY_NAME
- Removed old and wrong calls to my_strerror() when using
MY_ERROR_ON_RENAME (wrong merge)
- Fixed deadlock error message from Galera. Before the extra
information given to ER_LOCK_DEADLOCK was missing because
ER_LOCK_DEADLOCK doesn't provide any extra information.
I kept #ifdef mysqld_error_find_printf_error_used in sql_acl.h
to make it easy to do this kind of check again in the future
This is 10.1 version where no merge error exists.
wsrep_on_check
New check function. Galera can't be enabled
if innodb-lock-schedule-algorithm=VATS.
innobase_kill_query
In Galera async kill we could own lock mutex.
innobase_init
If Variance-Aware-Transaction-Sheduling Algorithm (VATS) is
used on Galera we refuse to start InnoDB.
Changed innodb-lock-schedule-algorithm as read-only parameter
as it was designed to be.
lock_rec_other_has_expl_req,
lock_rec_other_has_conflicting,
lock_rec_lock_slow
lock_table_other_has_incompatible
lock_rec_insert_check_and_lock
Change pointer to conflicting lock to normal pointer as this
pointer contents could be changed later.
Problem was a merge error from MySQL wsrep i.e. Galera.
wsrep_on_check
New check function. Galera can't be enabled
if innodb-lock-schedule-algorithm=VATS.
innobase_kill_query
In Galera async kill we could own lock mutex.
innobase_init
If Variance-Aware-Transaction-Sheduling Algorithm (VATS) is
used on Galera we fall back to First-Come-First-Served (FCFS)
with notice to user.
Changed innodb-lock-schedule-algorithm as read-only parameter
as it was designed to be.
lock_reset_lock_and_trx_wait
Use ib::hex() to print out transaction ID.
lock_rec_other_has_expl_req,
lock_rec_other_has_conflicting,
RecLock::add_to_waitq
lock_rec_lock_slow
lock_table_other_has_incompatible
lock_rec_insert_check_and_lock
lock_prdt_other_has_conflicting
Change pointer to conflicting lock to normal pointer as this
pointer contents could be changed later.
RecLock::create
Conclicting lock pointer is moved to last parameter with
default value NULL. This conflicting transaction could
be selected as victim in Galera if requesting transaction
is BF (brute force) transaction. In this case contents
of conflicting lock pointer will be changed. Use ib::hex() to print
transaction ids.
For running the Galera tests, the variable my_disable_leak_check
was set to true in order to avoid assertions due to memory leaks
at shutdown.
Some adjustments due to MDEV-13625 (merge InnoDB tests from MySQL 5.6)
were performed. The most notable behaviour changes from 10.0 and 10.1
are the following:
* innodb.innodb-table-online: adjustments for the DROP COLUMN
behaviour change (MDEV-11114, MDEV-13613)
* innodb.innodb-index-online-fk: the removal of a (1,NULL) record
from the result; originally removed in MySQL 5.7 in the
Oracle Bug #16244691 fix
377774689b
* innodb.create-index-debug: disabled due to MDEV-13680
(the MySQL Bug #77497 fix was not merged from 5.6 to 5.7.10)
* innodb.innodb-alter-autoinc: MariaDB 10.2 behaves like MySQL 5.6/5.7,
while MariaDB 10.0 and 10.1 assign different values when
auto_increment_increment or auto_increment_offset are used.
Also MySQL 5.6/5.7 exhibit different behaviour between
LGORITHM=INPLACE and ALGORITHM=COPY, so something needs to be tested
and fixed in both MariaDB 10.0 and 10.2.
* innodb.innodb-wl5980-alter: disabled because it would trigger an
InnoDB assertion failure (MDEV-13668 may need additional effort in 10.2)
