0d8e13979d Made keyread (key scanning) a key specific attribute. 
This avoids using fulltext keys for table scanning.
This also reverts Sinisa's original fix for this problem.

All charset.conf files were extended to supply unicode mapping array
CONVERT() now uses more common order of arguments: CONVERT(expr,charset_from,charset_to)
Dynamic charset can be used as CONVERT() argument

c961494444 Added useful exit error code for programs using my_getopt in case 
of an error in option handling. This can sometimes be useful in
scripts.

Changed some exit code names and corresponding numbers.

Fixed a bug in mysqld.cc, in replication related options.

Added a global flag in my_getopt, which can be set by any program
that is using my_getopt, which tells whether the client should
print the error message itself, or whether my_getopt should do it.
The default is that my_getopt will print the error messages.

16e3b892a6 Changed ft_dump, ft_eval, ft_test1, mi_test1, myisampack, gen_lex_hash, 
mysqlmanager from using GNU getopt to use my_getopt.

Changed some files that just included old getopt.h to include
my_getopt.h now.

Fixed a bug in my_print_help() in my_getopt.c.

Made better documentation for option -G in mysql client.

b3005bf70f A final and proper fix for HP-UX problems with pthread_cond_timedwait. 
This time I did it "by the book" as this function can return any 
of the down cited values after timeout !! This is now done 100 %
according to HP-UX DCE documentation.

This made Hewlett-Packard very happy.

9eda54d153 - Added new type GET_STRALC to my_getopt. 
- Fixed some bugs, wrongly freed pointers, in some clients.
- Removed unneccessary code.
- Fixed some other minor bugs and added some options into
  variables category, which had accidently been left out earlier.

171948ba86 more predicatable slave behaviour with wait_for_slave_stop in mysqltest 
fixed a couple of bugs with SEQ_READ_APPEND cache
rpl000016 still has non-deterministic result, but I am going to commit and
push since what I have is now better than what is in the main repository

56129ce634 Here comes a nasty patch, although I am not ready to push it yet. I will 
first pull, merge,test, and get it to work.

The main change is the new replication code - now we have two slave threads
SQL thread and I/O thread. I have also re-written a lot of the code to 
prepare for multi-master implementation. 

I also documented IO_CACHE quite extensively and to some extend, THD class.

added extra/mysql_install.c - will work on it in 4.0, but it does not hurt
to have it sit in 3.23 tree for now since it will eventually be backported

34e2c4b2ab Do not print a warning message when the server's character set is 
not found by the client.  This is especially important for PHP, which
only includes the latin1 character set in the bundled libmysql.
