00e86fb5cc Allocate HEAP blocks in smaller blocks to get better memory utilization and more speed when used with safemalloc. 
Don't initalize memory areas when run with --skip-safemalloc.

b3005bf70f A final and proper fix for HP-UX problems with pthread_cond_timedwait. 
This time I did it "by the book" as this function can return any 
of the down cited values after timeout !! This is now done 100 %
according to HP-UX DCE documentation.

This made Hewlett-Packard very happy.

f7acf09d9c slave-skip-errors 
added extra/mysql_install.c - will work on it in 4.0, but it does not hurt
to have it sit in 3.23 tree for now since it will eventually be backported
