910c31928e MDEV-22503 MDB limits DECIMAL column precision to 16 doing CTAS with floor/ceil over DECIMAL(X,Y) where X > 16
The DECIMAL data type branch in Item_func_int_val::fix_length_and_dec()
incorrectly used DOUBLE-style length calculation, which resulted in
a smaller data type than the actual result of FLOOR()/CEIL() needs.

6be05ceb05 MDEV-22203: WSREP_ON is unnecessarily expensive to evaluate
This is a backport of the applicable part of
commit 93475aff8d and
commit 2c39f69d34
from 10.4.

Before 10.4 and Galera 4, WSREP_ON is a macro that points to
a global Boolean variable, so it is not that expensive to
evaluate, but we will add an unlikely() hint around it.

WSREP_ON_NEW: Remove. This macro was introduced in
commit c863159c32
when reverting WSREP_ON to its previous definition.

We replace some use of WSREP_ON with WSREP(thd), like it was done
in 93475aff8d. Note: the macro
WSREP() in 10.1 is equivalent to WSREP_NNULL() in 10.4.

Item_func_rand::seed_random(): Avoid invoking current_thd
when WSREP is not enabled.

328edf8560 MDEV-21977 main.func_math fails due to undefined behaviour
The problem happened in these line:

uval0= (ulonglong) (val0_negative ? -val0 : val0);
uval1= (ulonglong) (val1_negative ? -val1 : val1);

return check_integer_overflow(val0_negative ? -(longlong) res : res,
                              !val0_negative);

when unary minus was performed on -9223372036854775808.
This behavior is undefined in C/C++.

6718d3bc32 MDEV-21082: isnan/isinf compilation errors, isfinite warnings on MacOS
The fix consists of three commits backported from 10.3:

1) Cleanup isnan() portability checks

(cherry picked from commit 7ffd7fe962)

2) Cleanup isinf() portability checks

Original problem reported by Wlad: re-compilation of 10.3 on top of 10.2
build would cache undefined HAVE_ISINF from 10.2, whereas it is expected
to be 1 in 10.3.

std::isinf() seem to be available on all supported platforms.
(cherry picked from commit bc469a0bdf)

3) Use std::isfinite in C++ code

This is addition to parent revision fixing build failures.

67b0faa29e MDEV-20495 Assertion `precision > 0' failed in decimal_bin_size upon CREATE .. SELECT with zerofilled decimal
Also fixes:

MDEV-20560 Assertion `precision > 0' failed in decimal_bin_size upon SELECT with MOD short unsigned decimal

Changing the way how Item_func_mod calculates its max_length.
It now uses decimal_precision(), decimal_scale() and unsigned_flag
of its arguments, like all other Item_num_op descendants do.

dc719597ee MDEV-18156 Assertion 0' failed or btr_validate_index(index, 0, false)' in row_upd_sec_index_entry or error code 126: Index is corrupted upon DELETE with PAD_CHAR_TO_FULL_LENGTH
This change takes into account a column's GENERATED ALWAYS AS
expression dependcy on sql_mode's PAD_CHAR_TO_FULL_LENGTH and
NO_UNSIGNED_SUBTRACTION flags.

Indexed virtual columns as well as persistent generated columns are
now not allowed to have such dependencies to avoid inconsistent data
or index files on sql_mode changes.
So an error is now returned in cases like this:

  CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE t1
  (
    a CHAR(5),
    v VARCHAR(5) AS (a) PERSISTENT -- CHAR->VARCHAR or CHAR->TEXT = ERROR
  );

Functions RPAD() and RTRIM() can now remove dependency on
PAD_CHAR_TO_FULL_LENGTH. So this can be used instead:

  CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE t1
  (
    a CHAR(5),
    v VARCHAR(5) AS (RTRIM(a)) PERSISTENT
  );

Note, unlike CHAR->VARCHAR and CHAR->TEXT this still works,
not RPAD(a) is needed:

  CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE t1
  (
    a CHAR(5),
    v CHAR(5) AS (a) PERSISTENT -- CHAR->CHAR is OK
  );

More sql_mode flags may affect values of generated columns.
They will be addressed separately.

See comments in sql_mode.h for implementation details.

645191aa13 MDEV-19778 Wrong Result on Left Outer Join with Subquery right on true
and WHERE filter afterwards

This patch complements the patch fixing the bug MDEV-6892. The latter
properly handled queries that used mergeable views returning constant
columns as inner tables of outer joins and whose where clause contained
predicates referring to these columns if the predicates of happened not
to be equality predicates. Otherwise the server still could return wrong
result sets for such queries. Besides the fix for MDEV-6892 prevented
some possible conversions of outer joins to inner joins for such queries.

This patch corrected the function check_simple_equality() to handle
properly conjunctive equalities of the where clause that refer to the
constant columns of mergeable views used as inner tables of an outer join.
The patch also changed the code of Item_direct_view_ref::not_null_tables().
This change allowed to take into account predicates containing references
to constant columns of mergeable views when converting outer joins into
inner joins.

5d48ea7d07 MDEV-10963 Fragmented BINLOG query
The problem was originally stated in
  http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=82212
The size of an base64-encoded Rows_log_event exceeds its
vanilla byte representation in 4/3 times.
When a binlogged event size is about 1GB mysqlbinlog generates
a BINLOG query that can't be send out due to its size.

It is fixed with fragmenting the BINLOG argument C-string into
(approximate) halves when the base64 encoded event is over 1GB size.
The mysqlbinlog in such case puts out

    SET @binlog_fragment_0='base64-encoded-fragment_0';
    SET @binlog_fragment_1='base64-encoded-fragment_1';
    BINLOG @binlog_fragment_0, @binlog_fragment_1;

to represent a big BINLOG.
For prompt memory release BINLOG handler is made to reset the BINLOG argument
user variables in the middle of processing, as if @binlog_fragment_{0,1} = NULL
is assigned.

Notice the 2 fragments are enough, though the client and server still may
need to tweak their @@max_allowed_packet to satisfy to the fragment
size (which they would have to do anyway with greater number of
fragments, should that be desired).

On the lower level the following changes are made:

Log_event::print_base64()
  remains to call encoder and store the encoded data into a cache but
  now *without* doing any formatting. The latter is left for time
  when the cache is copied to an output file (e.g mysqlbinlog output).
  No formatting behavior is also reflected by the change in the meaning
  of the last argument which specifies whether to cache the encoded data.

Rows_log_event::print_helper()
  is made to invoke a specialized fragmented cache-to-file copying function
  which is

copy_cache_to_file_wrapped()
  that takes care of fragmenting also optionally wraps encoded
  strings (fragments) into SQL stanzas.

my_b_copy_to_file()
  is refactored to into my_b_copy_all_to_file(). The former function
  is generalized
  to accepts more a limit argument to constraint the copying and does
  not reinitialize anymore the cache into reading mode.
  The limit does not do any effect on the fully read cache.

eb057dce20 MDEV-15035 Wrong results when calling a stored procedure
multiple times with different arguments.

If the ON expression of an outer join is an OR formula with one
of the disjunct being a constant formula then the expression
cannot be null-rejected if the constant formula is true. Otherwise
it can be null-rejected and if so the outer join can be converted
into inner join. This optimization was added in the patch for
mdev-4817. Yet the code had a defect: if the query was used in
a stored procedure with parameters and the constant item contained
some of them then the value of this constant item depended on the
values of the parameters. With some parameters it may be true,
for others not. The validity of conversion to inner join is checked
only once and it happens only for the first call of procedure.
So if the parameters in the first call allowed the conversion it
was done and next calls used the transformed query though there
could be calls whose parameters made the conversion invalid.

Fixed by cheking whether the constant disjunct in the ON expression
originally contained an SP parameter. If so the expression is not
considered as null-rejected. For this check a new item's attribute
was intruduced: Item::with_param. It is calculated for each item
by fix fields() functions.
Also moved the call of optimize_constant_subqueries() in
JOIN::optimize after the call of simplify_joins(). The reason
for this is that after the optimization introduced by the patch
for mdev-4817 simplify_joins() can use the results of execution
of non-expensive constant subqueries and this is not valid.
