b64dbeed6e Bug#47857 strip_sp function in mysys/mf_strip.c never used and cause name clash 
- Remove mf_strip.c and the declaration of 'strip_sp'

2f472dff75 WL#4380 
added a rule that use gcc to generate preprocessor output (gcc -E)
that can be then compared to a already generated output using 
the diff utility.

Ran make test on the repository to verify changes.
