Make sure to look at ha_tina.h for more details.
First off, this is a play thing for me, there are a number of things wrong with it:
*) It was designed for csv and therefor its performance is highly questionable.
*) Indexes have not been implemented. This is because the files can be traded in
and out of the table directory without having to worry about rebuilding anything.
*) NULLs and "" are treated equally (like a spreadsheet).
*) There was in the beginning no point to anyone seeing this other then me, so there
is a good chance that I haven't quite documented it well.
*) Less design, more "make it work"
Now there are a few cool things with it:
*) Errors can result in corrupted data files.
*) Data files can be read by spreadsheets directly.
TODO:
*) Move to a block system for larger files
*) Error recovery, its all there, just need to finish it
*) Document how the chains work.

Next big patch for loadable storage engines! Handlerton array is now created instead of using sys_table_types_st. All storage engines can now have inits and giant ifdef's are now gone for startup. No compeltely clean yet, handlertons will next be merged with sys_table_types. Federated and archive now have real cleanup if their inits fail. sql/examples/ha_archive.cc: Modifications for new ha_init code. The init method now checks for errors and will not start up if the errors occur. sql/examples/ha_archive.h: Change for new init method. sql/examples/ha_example.cc: New handlerton pieces. sql/examples/ha_tina.cc: New handlerton pieces. sql/ha_berkeley.cc: New handlerton pieces, plus changes for ha_init changes. A fix and a test case for Bug#10760 and complementary cleanups. The idea of the patch is that every cursor gets its own lock id for table level locking.
